Hotel berhampiran Fort Beneden-Lent, Nijmegen

The place is nice, staff great. Unfortunately I can not split the stars so please read this. The one star is just and only for the Spa, and it's management. Today I booked a duo scrub to do something nice with my daughter. On the website it is written: Scrub, cream, and head massage for 2 people.50 minutes, 98 euro. This is misleading and totally unfair for the client. We get in and we have 1 masseuse for 2 people.So technically I am paying 49 euro each for 25 (it was 20 at the end) minutes, and not for 50 minutes. Again: THIS is not specified on the website. We are sitting on no bed, just some estethician chairs which put your head lower than your body, totally uncomfortable. Totally low standards. We get scrub on 4 parts of our body: lower legs, front arms, beginning of your back and belly.And we are asked to turn. So only front Then we shower, and with the swimming suits on and with the face towel we get (small) it's totally impossible to get the scrub out. I remove my swimming suit, and I ask for a shower towel, while I am trying butt naked to climb on the chair again. Then comes the cream on the same 4 spots. At my question : why don't we get cream on hands and feet, she says that: The cream makes the feet sliding and the client could fall (!!) And: Masseuse has a phobia touching feet. (Really??? Who hired you?and why don't you do facials then?). Last is the head massage of 5 minutes which it hurts because the amount of oil is non existent. We leave and we paid 98 euro for half a treatment, a partial scrub, a partial cream, dry hands, feet, and lower back, and scrub all over places that I can't name. Masseuse pretends not to see my disappointment or she doesn't care That's a rip off. Nowhere on the website are these things mentioned and we were not informed upfront that the treatment would be only for 4 parts of the body and the masseuse was phobic. I didn't get the choice to stand up and leave, instead of being robbed off I go to complain to reception and the EXCEPTIONAL Lucy (excellent customer care) talks with the spa manager. Obviously the management hired the phobic masseuse so that's the standard. Amateur hour I don't get any excuses, and only 23 euro off the bill. Poor Lucy is left to represent the Sanadome and the shabby operation of a cheap and amateur spa management. She offers me drinks. I appreciate it. I would go back to the hotel and to the thermae, however I won't book a treatment ever again. And so should you do as well! Note for Sanadome management: This kind of service which is obviously incompetently managed from a third part, lowers your standards and your stars. Fabulous service, wonderful food. We stayed here for four nights and ate here every single night, because both the staff and the food was so lovely. We have no Dutch but the staff had excellent English and were very patient with us and looked after us brilliantly. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is perfect gelegen naast het Centraal Station en aan de rand van het winkelcentrum. In de lobby kun je werken en een kop gratis thee of koffie meenemen. Het personeel is jong en informeel. De kamers zijn niet groot, maar wel een goed bed en badkamer. Helaas troffen we de doodzonde aan voor iedere hotelkamer: een fles glijmiddel van vorige gasten onder het bed. Alhoewel de kamer niet vies was, is dit natuurlijk wel een aandachtspunt.

Tsja, wat kun je ervan zeggen? Van exclusiviteit is absoluut geen sprake meer. Gaten in de lakens met het en der oud bloed, smerige gordijnen en elke vorm van sfeer is wegbezuinigd in je hotelkamer. Zelfs een bekertje op de badkamer om je mond te spoelen na het tandenpoetsen was er niet. Het eten was belachelijk duur en de kwaliteit om te huilen. Tip voor de kok: overweeg een carrière switch. Het schaaltje met “warme groenten” leek op groenten die je uit het putje van de afvoer peutert, opgeleukt met een onduidelijk nat van curry en kokos. Sashimi van zalm? Sashimi van sashimi had beter gestaan - drie flinter dunne plakjes waar mijn moeder ook nog ziek van geworden is. Dit hotel is tevens een tijdelijk opvangcentrum voor asielzoekers. Hier hebben wij geen problemen van ondervonden, maar communiceer dit met je gasten. Iets met transparantie? Dit ben je als miljoenenconcern verplicht, namelijk. Fijn dat je asielzoekers een warm bed kan bieden, maar een kleine heads-up was fijn geweest. Niet iedereen is hier namelijk van gediend. Neem een voorbeeld aan je collega’s in Brabant, van der Valk. Het receptie personeel heeft de lipjes getuit en een vervelende hautaine air. Werk aan je softskills dames, dat staat beter.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in Kleve für einen Kurztrip und wieder restlos begeistert. Da unsere Anreise kurz ist, haben wir Mittags eine Kleinigkeit gegessen (sehr lecker) und konnten deutlich vor der Zeit unser Zimmer beziehen. Wunderschön und mit Blick auf die Spoy! Restlos begeistert hat uns das Abendbrot. Selten bis nie haben wir außerhalb der Küste so guten Fisch gegessen. Ein kleiner Tipp, der aber auch bitte als Tipp und nicht als Kritik verstanden wird: eine bessere, mediale Präsenz zur Infomationensmöglichkeit wäre schön. Und ein Traum wären kleinere Portion für Erwachsene. So werden wir nie den Nachtisch schaffen. Der Wolfsbarsch war unvergleichlich gut, aber leider war danach kein Platz mehr für ein Dessert.
