This is more of an apartment building than a hotel. Room includes a kitchenette, couch, double bed and tatami area. A good basis for exploring the area. Room is quite large and has all the facilities to do you own cooking (including an electric bbq). Bed is comfortable. Private onsen on the balcony is a nice plus.

The hotel is very beautiful - ambiance was great, room was great, staff were excellent. The very clean common kitchen with complimentary coffee, tea, and miso soup was awesome and a boon to the travel weary. We could warm our food in the microwave and conventional ovens. The hotel also offered artisanal bread, pizza etc. for purchase, which could be reheated or baked in the ovens. Altogether a great hotel but it was far from the main area near the train station where most of the restaurants and convenience stores were.

Stayed 3 nights in small double room with attached bathroom Clean, comfortable and quiet if somewhat lacking in a friendly atmosphere. Close to the railway station and tourist information Centre. Note hotel is closed during the day and open at 3pm for check-in. You can leave bags in locker for 100 yen. Nice small onsen bath to relax after a day of sightseeing. Note the breakfast caters mainly to Japanese guests with no fresh food. I found it awful and resorted to the convenience store across the street.

My wife and I booked the Nikko Station Hotel II for April 13 - 15 as a non refundable reservation. This week, the US State Dept issued a Level 4 warning for all US citizens to avoid international travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of their normal policy, the Nikko Station Hotel II made an exception due to the COVID-19 pandemic and issued a full refund. We will reschedule our trip to Japan after the pandemic passes and WILL DEFINITELY rebook at the Nikko Station Hotel II, as they have shown excellent customer service in a difficult time!

I've been to many onsen and ryokan all over Japan, and Hoshinoyado truly stands out. The food was spectacular—every bite was truly delicious and featured the local specialties, and everything was styled with seasonal artistry. I can say without hesitation that the breakfast was the best I've ever eaten in Japan. Plus, our table looked out over a shady Japanese garden that was knee-deep in moss, with a sparkling stream. The inn and room were both pristine, with no shabby corners, and the public bath was inviting—very clean, with every amenity you can imagine, and not blisteringly hot. I've seen everything there is to see in Nikko at least once, but I'd go again just to stay at Hoshinoyado.

You’ll need taxi or car to go to Rakuten Stay if you bring suitcase, as Nikko don’t have a well pedestrian walk and it’s a bit hard if you pull your luggage by yourself.
The check-in process quiet confusing as there’s no reception and the easiest way is to call the Rakuten Stay straight away and ask room number and door passcode and you can do the check-in process inside your room.
The room is really nice and it’s huge, we even get our own onsen which is really nice. The price also not that expensive, compare to hotel room if you’re more than 2 people.
Overall really enjoy my stay despite the confusing check-in, but the help center really assist me patiently

The hotel is more like a museum :). You can admire every room and every thing :) You will see a table lamp at the reception, which has been standing there since 1907, in the lobby you will see photographs of people who stayed at this hotel - Indira Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Robert Koch, Edward Prince of Wales and many other. The restaurant has very beautiful dishes. And the table for dinner was set using 11 cutlery :) The staff is very attentive and polite. I would especially like to thank Sabita for her help. The room itself is fairly basic (but not modern) the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom has everything you need for a short stay. Rooms are not cleaned daily and towels are not changed unless specifically requested. The location of the hotel is very convenient, a three-minute walk from Nikko Park - UNESCO heritage. Currently, one wing of the hotel is being renovated.

My recent stay at Hata Go Hotel in Nikko exceeded all my expectations. The staff provided warm hospitality and excellent service that made my stay truly pleasant. Not only was my room immaculately clean, but it was also cozy and modern, with all the amenities I needed. The kaisaki meal was the cherry on top - absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend Hata Go Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and truly exceptional stay in Nikko.

We were hosted by an elderly couple, and his family members. They were super cute, friendly and polite. It's like their small family business, ground floor was a western restaurant, second floor onwards were all the guest rooms. They know a bit of English, so the communication wise no issue at all. What we love about this stay is that other than the room with gorgeous lake view, the host was super helpful to allow us to store our luggage with them even way before our check-in timing. Furthermore he even offer to send us to the laundry shop, when we just casually ask him about the laundry. What actually surprised me the most, was that he even FETCH us from the laundry shop after we were done. Will definitely come back to this place again if I'm in Nikko! Thumbs up! Super host!! 😁

Style. Simple clean modern design Setting. Japan countryside, off the beaten path near highway, good for short overnight stay if on a longer drive Explore. Farm park. Outdoor hot springs across street @ the hotel. Convenience store style snacks available in the lobby. There are no restaurants in the hotel. Basic amenities so no hair conditioner, no bathtub. Nice common area/lobby. Helpful English speaking staff (Ayumi Osawa) that was super responsive via email. Rooms. I had a small clean room facing the trees on the 3rd floor, was here after a red-eye flight so checked in at 11 am and checked out 3 hours later, was happy with the experience Food & drinks. Looked like there were some restaurants nearby. Best to have car to get around Prices. Good /great value at US$115 Rating. 4/5

Having only just arrived a few days earlier in Japan - this was our first experience of a ryokan . We didn’t know what to expect but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. From choosing our own Kimono to wear around the hotel to our beautiful spacious room with wonderful views of the autumn trees behind, every detail had been thought about. The onsen was wonderful with a pool. Inside and outside. We had a private dining room where we were served the most incredible meals in beautiful Japanese ceramics of all kinds of shapes and sizes. We were attended to by the Chun, a young Vietnamese girl who was just charming, she couldn’t do enough for us and tried so hard with her English - she really made our stay.. this ryokan is also right opposite the shrines , so its a great location and right on the bus route for getting further into the hills. We really recommend this place.

PPengguna Tetamu栃木割で１万円引き＋４千円クーポン付でTwinに１泊した。古さを感じるものの部屋の広さ、部屋からの眺め、風呂、食事は素晴らしいが、昨今の温暖化について行けず、ACなしの部屋は西日の強い夏には軽く３０度以上になりきつい。自慢の眺めも半分以上の部屋は前に巨大ホテルが出来て疎外されている。

JJR_DYReally nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel

PPengguna Tetamuコロナ禍、本当に久々の外出ということもあり、少し高めでもと露天風呂付きのお部屋を予約しました。 露天風呂→こちらの温泉が皆さん良いということでしたのでお部屋の露天風呂にも当然温泉と思いましたが普通の水道水でした。残念…。勿論、網戸などない場所なのでバスタブは虫だらけでした。 ベッド→という名で掲載されていますが、お部屋の角が少し高くなっているところにせんべい布団が引いてあるだけです。硬すぎて身体が痛くて良く眠れませんでした。 寝具？シーツ？もお洗濯の生乾き臭で残念です。 コロナ禍で仕方ないとは思いますが、連泊してもタオルの交換があるくらいで、ベッドメイキングのし直しはなかったです。 お部屋はすごく寒かったです。 料理→季節や地元のものを期待していたのに、カニとエビばかり。カニは冷凍してあったものと想像します、ですので、変な硬さがあり身もほぐせず半分も食べずに諦めました。アレルギーの確認がないので、甲殻類アレルギーの方はお料理絶対確認したほうが良いと思います…。 食品テーブル調理用の燃料が小さくて、しゃぶしゃぶ、豚肉が出てきたのですが途中で火が消えて諦めました。あと5分くらい調理出来るサイズだとよいのでは？ 朝食は和風です。コロナ禍ということもあり、バイキングは難しいと思いますがせめて和朝食か洋朝食くらいは選べると良いのにと思います。 そして、フロントの男性スタッフがフロントらしくない所作と思いました。わたしたちの名前を予約リストから見つけられず、本当にうちで予約していますか？と聞かれました。女性は丁寧でした。 いうことで、コロナ禍なのでサービスが制限されるのは仕方ないと思いますが値段とサービス内容が合っていないと思いました。

PPengguna TetamuThe room was large and very pleasant - and very Japanese in layout and bedding... The staff was incredible - going out of their way to make us comfortable and help out. Booked a private onsen which was outdoors under a roof in a big rainstorm - delightful experience. And the little counter shop in the bottom floor had great food and a wonderful woman running it - even if we had no Japanese schools and she had little English - but made us feel completely at home. The only thing to note is that you will be out into Japan away from the big cities - communication is harder (heavy use of google translate - including with the staff). Just a heads up for those that are uncomfortable in that situation

PPengguna Tetamu酷暑の中の避暑で訪れました。大自然の中にある温泉ホテル。以前の建物を生かして運営をされています。日光から奥日光まではかなりの距離はありますが、なんといっても白濁の硫黄泉という素晴らしい温泉があるのでやはり価値がありますね。 確かに、温泉への動線がフロント前を通るので多少はばかられますがお互い様ということで。 またレストランはブッフェスタイルです。テーブルはお隣さんと近い感じはありました。ただ大人数やお子様連れには仕切られたお部屋もあったようでがちゃがちゃして落ち着かない。ということはなかったと感じました。 品数も飲み物も豊富にあり工夫を感じました。 朝食も十分でした。 湯ノ湖が眼前でハイキングには最高。自然が豊かで空気も美味しく、涼しい。やはり何度も訪れたくなります。

NNing々ccKami tinggal di tingkat atas. Pemandangan di luar tingkap sangat cantik, dan ia berhampiran dengan tasik. Hujan turun dengan lebat pada waktu malam, dan bumbung bilik akan menitis ke bawah. Ia terlalu mengantuk, jadi saya mengambil tuala mandi dan meletakkannya di atas tatami. Kedua Apabila saya mendaftar keluar, kakitangan meja depan juga meminta maaf secara mekanikal apabila saya mendaftar keluar.

PPengguna Tetamu伊藤園ホテルはよく利用しています。 今回は息子に紅葉を見せたくて鬼怒川まで。 他を圧倒する堂々たる面構え、駐車場は既にパンパン。案内の方がしっかり対応してくださるのは素晴らしいですが、「駐車場は違う場所になるので送迎バスについていって下さい」と。 おいおいそれはないだろう、なんたって鬼怒川温泉の1等地、交通量の多い公道に出ていく送迎バスを追いかけろだなんて。しかも第四駐車場なるところはホテルからえらい離れているではありませんか(徒歩では心折れます)。これは地図をもらって案内してくださった方がよほど安全です。 いざチェックイン、と思えばそこには疲弊したお客さんの群れ 番号札で順に対応するシステムで、繁忙時間帯だからかカウンターを6つ開けていました。呼ばれるまで30分くらい待ち、夕朝食の予約はまた別カウンターで、となっており ローコストなので仕方ないとは思いつつ、手続きに気を配った時間でした。 こんな時にお土産選びで時間つぶしが出来るし売店を開けておいてくれたらと思いましたが、閉まっていました。 増築を重ねたのか別館に案内されましたが、1度本館から外へ出て(寒い)、エレベーターに乗って該当フロアにつくとすぐ階段。荷物を持って上がらねばならず、フロントから借りてきた荷物用の台車はあまり役に立ちませんでした。そして複雑な構造で少し迷います。 夕朝食のカウンターで混雑の時間帯を教えてくれていたので避けていましたが、結局ごった返しており ソーシャルディスタンスを取れないほどの隣席との距離、まあ仕方ないかと飲み放題に注力しました。伊藤園ホテルのスーパードライの飲み放題が大好きです。日本酒の気分でもあり仙禽を浴びるように飲んだのも至福の時でした。 ご飯の内容ですが、他の系列店より豊かなメニューで、エビの天ぷら、エビやサーモン、えんがわのお寿司など十分に用意され、補充も早かったです。 お風呂ですが、丁度いい温度の内湯、浴槽も大きくゆったりとつかれて 露天風呂は階段がありますがのんびり出来る岩風呂でした。ただし、この規模に対しドライヤーが三台しか無いのは頂けません。ドライヤー待ちの列が出来ていました。 部屋に戻りさあ寝るぞとなったとき、11月初旬、夜は冷え込むので、 小さなエアコン1台では暖房をまかないきれず、夜寒さで何度か起きました。お布団は掛ふとん敷ふとんともに薄いです。 朝ごはんは想像通りの混雑。おかずに出来るようなものがほとんどない事にがっかりしました。 ローコストの宿を狙って行ってますし 伊藤園ホテルはこのくらいのクオリティが普通なので、多少の不便は仕方無いのと、他の方も仰るようにこれ以上求めるのは酷かなと思うのです。 観光地へのアクセスは素晴らしく、スタッフさんの人柄も良いので「もう使わない！」とはなりませんが、色々と身構えてお出かけになったほうがよろしいかと思います。

PPengguna Tetamuもちろんお風呂、フロントの対応も良いですが、宿泊しないとここの夕食＆朝食を食せない！ 【駐車場】 道から入ると、「←駐車場／フロント→」と表示がされているが、「フロント→」方向に進む（上る）っても玄関前に６～７台の駐車は可能。 【フロント】 他の口コミでも書かれているが、対応の良い、日本語が堪能な外国の方が対応される。 宿泊費は前金制（食事の時のオプションの料金だけ翌朝支払い。オプションがない場合は、鍵を置いて出発可能） 飲み物や軽食の自動販売機あり。（お酒類３００円、清涼飲料水２００円）。 【部屋】 ・決して「新しい」という感じではないが、「古い」「汚い」ということも一切無く、「清潔」で「明るい」。 ・スティックタイプの緑茶がたくさん置かれていた。 ・冷蔵庫あり。 【お風呂】 ちょっと狭い。でも、ゆっくりと入れる湯温。湯質もよい。夜は２４時まで。朝は６時。 【夕食】１８時～／１９時～ 素材、調理法ともに良し！ 「ミートソースのパスタ」と書いてあったので、「たいしたこと無い？」と疑ってしまったが、「たいしたことあった！」 【朝食】７：３０～／８：００～ 飲み物はセルフ。コーヒーは自分でドリップするというこだわり。 パンも、チーズも、生ハムも、野菜たちもおいしい。

PPengguna Tetamu鬼怒川を見下ろす良い部屋に宿泊しました。
部屋は広く、暖房も良く効きました。
部屋の風呂場が使用を中止しているので大浴場を利用しましたが、湯の温度がむるかったのが残念でした。
亦、大浴場の利用時間が夕方から夜迄で朝風呂に奈入れないのが誠に残念でした。
現在は素泊まりのみとなっており、食事の提供がありませんが、近所に24時間営業のコンビニが有るので家族で割安に旅行するには便利です。
部屋の冷蔵庫も有るので助かります。
近所に手頃な食事処が無いのが残念でした。
費用対効果を考えれば家族旅行に適していると思います。
