We’ve booked a one-week trip with Mr Truong. It was just incredible and we highly recommend him. We’ve seen beautiful places up north where we could live local adventures away from tourist spots. He organized for us a French-speaking guide who was amazing. Truong is a very good driver, a flexible and smart person. He even found a solution for us to avoid the typhoon. We stayed three nights in his friendly home and everything was perfect (cleaned room, tasty meals and lovely atmosphere). Thank you again Mr Truong and family for making our trip unforgettable. It is a little while ago that we visited this beautiful place for three nights. But we love to think back to these days in Ninh Bình. We walked all the way from the Ninh Bình Train station and we was starving and worried about our chance to get dinner due to the fact that it was already late in the evening. But the overwhelming, very friendly welcome at the hotel let passed away our worries. The lovely staff cooked a great vietnamese food for us and the start for the stay couldnt be better. The hotel room, like a own bungalow, was beautiful designed, very clean and comfortable. The whole area was very well maintained with a nice pool, garden and even palmtrees. The both girls who run the hotel during our stay there was remarkable friendly and an awesome example for vietnamese hospitality. They offered us rental bikes, explanations to the destination and even a local healthy plant to eat while my girlfriend had a little flu during our trip. It is such an idyllic, perfect place for exploring the unforgettable landscape of Ninh Bình. We wish all the best for Ninh Bình Rustic Hotel and were very thankful for the amazing time there.

This resort is set at the foot of limestone rock, like a land version of Ha Long bay. It is the most beautiful oasis of calm, located down a long lane and features quirky accommodation types from bamboo huts on stilts to converted buses! The rooms are positioned around a big lake and landscaped gardens which are exceptionally well kept. We stayed in one of the thatched huts which had a lake view. The room was perfect - plenty of space including a hanging rail and wardrobe for clothes, plus big bathroom / wet room. There were a few mozzy’s but the room had an electric fly swat if you were quick enough to catch them. Our favourite thing to do was to sit on the terrace with a coffee in the morning and soak up the view! We also liked the fact there were picnic benches dotted around the lake if you wanted to sit and chill. The other thing to mention is that there’s Wi-Fi connectivity everywhere you go around the resort which is really handy. There are 2 improvements this resort could make which I feel would really positively impact them. One is the food… whilst there are a vast array of menu options, I think it would work in their favour to offer fewer but better quality dishes. The breakfast would also benefit from fresh pastries and bread options. Secondly, whilst the pool is absolutely stunning (it really is picture perfect overlooking the lake), there are only 5 sun beds which, during really busy periods, means there’s nowhere to relax in the sun once they’re all taken (the picnic benches are under trees which suits their purpose). A little jetty out onto the lake with additional beds would be fabulous! The hotel is situated near a few towns, all of which are accessible (and cheap) by taxi which the hotel can call for you. I would definitely recommend staying here for a few days, it’s perfect to relax and unwind!

the villa and facilities are excellent, breakfast spread was also decent with an option for local vietnamese pho bo. however location is slightly further away from the main attractions like Tam Coc or Mua Caves

I found the perfect place for tranquility enjoying nature at its best. The place is surrounded by limestone and river. Our room had a view of the giant limestone cliffs on the side, at the front a natural habitat of trees with the sound of crickets and frogs. The place is surrounded by banana trees, pomelo, papaya and variety of flowers. My boyfriend used the billiards. I enjoyed my daily banana pancake, portions are generous. It was good to explore the area with complimentary push bikes. They would even provide a rain coat if it's raining. It was 15 minutes bike ride to majestic trang an river boat ride and 12 minutes to Hua Lu. The food was good. It was nice to spend a day at the hotel by the hammocks facing the river. The staff are so friendly, I feel like it was a home away from home. The food was amazing, the prices were reasonable. Thank you for the blissful memory.

Нам тут очень понравилось. Красивый отель, эстетичный бар, немного вид из окна разочаровывал, на болото, но такое расположение.. до центра там кока, где все кафешки 5 минут на байке. Персонал решал любые вопросы, очень гостеприимное место! Бесплатно сауна и джакузи. Завтрак хороший. Дали хороший новый байк нам в аренду.

I have been travelling for around 6 weeks now and this is by far the best homestay that I’ve stayed in whilst being here. The rooms are extremely spacious with A/C, the pool was lovely and the location is superb. The ladies that runs this homestay needs her own paragraph because she is phenomenal, whether it’s recommending places to go or helping with any day to day issues you may have she is always on hand to help. Our bus out of Ninh Binh was a late one but she let us keep the room all day free of charge because of how hot it was. Not only this, when we left she provided us with water and snacks to take with us. She is an absolute credit to the homestay and I cannot praise this absolute gem of a place to stay enough.

The room (premium deluxe) was absolutely stunning, with a very beautiful scenic view, a very comfortable matress and very clean also. The location is also very good, its convenient to walk and see tam coc and also for the boat trips. The breakfast was good and there is a nice pool to swim. That said, We had a big problem of noise : a new bar opened next door and the noise was umbelievably loud, the staff could’nt tell us what was the closing hour of the bar and wasn’t capable of going and pick the information when we asked several time. They did a discount on the room because we could’nt sleep at all (it was like we were in the bar) so I thank them for that because they tried their best to help us, but in the future I hope that they can make an arrangment on the level of noise with the new bar, otherwhise, clients will not be respected for what they pay…

We booked a duplex and it was nice, but I wish there was a pantry and better layout of the area for some kind of living room given the size of the place. The resort itself was lovely and quiet over the Christmas period. Good at breakfast and dinner was good and reasonably priced.
