We arranged private transport from Hanoi hotel to Hidden Charm and the transport was punctual (early in fact). Driver was focused and safe. Check-in at Hidden Charm was a breeze, they served a citrusy warm drink that I enjoyed. Front desk customer service personnel were proactive in suggesting sightseeing spots at Ninh Binh when we asked for suggestions. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard with western bread options and Asian pho, fried rice etc. Location wise, Hidden Charm is very near the Tam Coc boat ticket booth and also offers bicycles for us to cycle to Mua Caves and where the Lying Dragon was. At the entrance to Mua Cave, there will be people trying to get you to park your bikes for a fee, typically 5k VND per bike but we found one close to entrance and charged 2k VND per bike. Our room was at the 7th floor and comes with a expansive view. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. There was also a bath tub for me to enjoy. At the end of trip, the hotel staff arranged for private transport to the Noi Bai airport at my request. Again, driver was early and ride was smooth. I enjoyed my stay at Hidden Charm and would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in a clean hotel with excellent service.

Apabila saya menyemak alamat pada baucar dan menelefon, saya menaiki motosikal, mengambilnya dan memberi saya arahan. Harga berpatutan, bilik bagus, lokasi bagus, view bagus, yang penting owner dan isteri mesra dan layanan terbaik. Bos boleh berbahasa Korea dan isteri boleh berbahasa Inggeris. Kami memesan sarapan sebelum melihat menu pada waktu petang, jadi pagi esoknya, kami menyediakan sarapan pagi yang banyak. Selain itu, perkhidmatan seperti buah-buahan dan air sejuk turut disediakan. L'accueil, la bienveillance, la gentillesse, l'aide, vraiment tout est excellent! La famille qui gère ce petit hôtel est vraiment top! La chambre est spacieuse, les lits très confortables, grande salle de bain avec eau chaude, de l'eau et du café à disposition. Les petits déjeuner sont variés et savoureux! Il y a des vélos a disposition et aussi des scooters en location. Il n'y a rien à reprocher, je recommande sans problème, vous ne serez vraiment pas déçu! Merci à eux et à Nguyen!

The best part of this hotel was the location. It’s in a quieter part of Tam Coc about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre. It’s on the main road, but you are one street back and there are rice fields right behind you. Tam Coc town itself isn’t that nice. Super touristy and tacky but it’s where most the restaurants and shops are so it’s nice being in a spot where it’s accessible, but you can also escape. The hotel itself is nice but definitely 3-star. That’s not a critique as it doesn’t sell itself as higher than that, but I think some of the photos flatter it a bit. The pool area is beautiful, overlooking the rice fields. Rooms are clean and a good size but a little worn. The staff and owner are lovely. English isn’t strong even by Vietnamese standards, so needed to use the translator app a fair bit but was never a problem. They have free bicyles to rent and they are good quality. I was impressed. You can get to most of the main sites from the hotel by peddle bike if you have a basic level of fitness. Motor scooters can also be rented for cheap. A couple of small opportunities for the hotel. It took me 3 days to get hand soap in my room. I did ask and got told it’s on the wall. Only saw body wash on the wall so assumed that’s all there was but the cleaners eventually noticed and put in hand soap. Also, the fridge wasn’t working throughout the duration of my stay. Thirdly, the hotel has those bathtub showers but no curtain or screen so it’s impossible to shower without soaking the bathroom floor. Should put some in. Would be an easy fix. Overall, I would recommend the hotel. It is good value and in a great location. Thanks for having me. I definitely enjoyed my stay!

A pleasant surprise in beautiful surroundings tucked away in the jungle. The room we had chosen had no air con (our choice as they as they do have rooms with Aircon) but the very friendly staff supplied us with 2 fans. The room and beds were clean. The staff were very friendly and help some. You can rent scooters and bicycles at very affordable prices. The food was good. Chez Boe is located only about 5 minuets ride from Mue Caves and Tam Coc. The river boats are about 15 minuets ride away, so the location is very central, yet you feel far away from all the noise of the modern world, with only the noise of Nature which makes it a great place to unwind. Can highly recommend staying here.
