Zostel Srinagar Reservation Number: ZSR14728-1 1. When committing services on website Zostel should ensure the delivery as well. Simply putting a hand written note saying these services won’t be provided is not acceptable under the tag of house rules. 2. Hospitality is an integral part of travel industry. No special rules apply to Zostel. Few things are basic. The kitchen staff on our day of visit was extremely rude and the entire staff was sharing different set of information. When checked they initially mentioned that everything is available on the menu but the kitchen staff said otherwise and had no clue. 3. Timings are crucial. But the same should apply to the staff. We were told that the kitchen closes at 9:30 but when we went for ordering at 9:15 no one was there. They came back at 9:30 and said the kitchen is closed now. 4. No electricity was there for almost 2 hours. None of the staff members could figure things out leaving us in cold. Worst part,there was no staff member available to answer queries. 5. In extreme cold weather this expectation of removing shoes at doorstep is absurd. again the same tag of House Rules. Especially when you don’t have enough slippers. 6. In extreme cold what are the things should work? Electric kettle, geyser, Hot AC. What was working? None of the above. How did we come to know? A small handwritten note on counter top. Was this mentioned while booking or on website? NOT AT ALL!!! Again probably this is what house rules means, just to justify any stupidity from Zostel.
