We did have a nice comfortable stay at the hotel and breakfast was nice too.

Booked this hotel b/c it is close to OU and I needed an affordable place to stay for Family Weekend. For the price I paid, I cannot believe they get away with charging this much. First, I checked in on my phone via a link that led me to their website. When I arrived, the receptionist said I had to pay in full. I told her I already checked in and paid via the link sent to me, but they had no record of it and tried to charge me again for the entire stay. I had to call my CC company, who confirmed this hotel already charged me the full amount. After a good 15 minutes, the receptionist got the owner and figured it out. So, they are not on board fully with remote check in so BE CAREFUL if they try to double charge you. This is hands down the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. It just needs to be torn down. Smelled like mildew and cigarettes in the hallways. VERY outdated. My room had mismatched paint and splattered/bad paint. Sliding glass door to patio would not lock so I had to push the desk up against it to feel safe. Spiders in shower, cockroaches on bathroom floor and in hallways of hotel. Bedding was terrible. Towels were thin and small. Toilet ran all night and was stained. It just felt dirty and upkept all around. I spent as little time there as possible and still feel like I was totally ripped off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and honestly feel I should get some kind of refund back for the amount of money they up-charged just because it was Family Weekend. Not good!

I loved the experience and the service was amazing, I definitely would have like a better breakfast selection.

Where do I start? First of all when we arrived to check in they said they did not have the room that I requested earlier in the day by calling them. Finally, after some heated discussion all at once they had a room on the top floor, king size bed and away from the elevator. When we arrived in the room it was dirty and the bed was made but looked as though the previous guest slept in it. The bathroom wasn't clean and there was food on the floor. Also, the built in shampoo bottle was completely empty. We called the front desk and she brought up clean sheets for us to make the bed and we showed her everything that was wrong. She agreed and left. We have pictures of everything that was nasty. The next day the lead housekeeper Melissa K. came up to apologize and said she would take care of everything. She seems like the only one in the hotel that cares about anything .Credit to her. She took the girl that cleaned it last into the room and spent two hours cleaning the room she said it should have never been like that. After her cleaning it the room was great. We spoke to the manager of the hotel and did comp us one days stay and supposedly gave us 1000 points, to which I have not seen them yet. Also, the elevator has a really loud squealing sound when it stops. We did bring it to front desk attention to which they didn’t seem to care. The fire alarm button on one of the elevators was broker off, how is that OK? The pool was out of order for all three days we stayed and I'm sure it has not been available for a lot longer. The breakfast selection was poor all three days that we stayed. There were no signature cinnamon rolls. I ask the breakfast attendant and she said they cannot get them. Plus, they only had the prepackaged muffins one day out of the three. The eggs were not hot and dried out. The coffee was weak all three days and terrible tasting. When we left the Norman IHG we went to Roswell NM and stay one night. They had the room that I called ahead for and it was cleaned and they had better coffee and actually had cinnamon rolls and muffins, imagine that.
