A reasonably pleasant stay at this hotel with no problems in my 2 night stay other than a noisy person staying next door but that is no fault of the hotel. It is conveniently located right near the centre of Nottingham. Lots of scaffolding outside at time of visit but no noise during the night and no noise from people outside, though it was mid week and the room facing away from the street

Lovely hotel - couldn’t get a better location sadly let down by the size of the room (bathroom was ok) but bedroom was very tight. By far the worst problem was a lack of working air conditioning. It was a hot night and although an air con unit was in the room we couldn’t get it to work no matter what we tried. Due to the heat, sleep was a scarce commodity during our stay. If we’d have booked for longer than a night I would have not have slept in that room again if there was working no air con.

Room on the 10th floor offered great city views, however was a little noisy - could ear other guests and house keepers in the corridor, there was also some traffic noise. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom should be modernised to offer better shower experience and provide more counter space but was clean.
Great location to access the train station and city.

Room very out dated and disappointing, loud bathroom fan that kept me up all night and no plug next to the bed (only on the other side of the room). Tea tray is tucked in to a cupboard with a false drawer so is dangerous when opened as you don't expect the whole cupboard to open on your arm. Breakfast was disappointing, both hot and cold selection were dry as if they had been sat for a long time. Not what you expect for £130 mid week stay. Only positive was the great staff at breakfast who were very friendly. Would not come back to this hotel if I was in the area.

The hotel is conveniently located. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. We used the spa but not the gym. Both were well equipped and maintained. Good for relaxing after the journey. There was no evening dining as it was a Sunday but that had been well signposted beforehand so we were able to arrange an alternative. Staff were very helpful and professional at all times. Would not hesitate to rebook.

PPengguna TetamuWhat a find ! I was looking for somewhere handy for some work I had locally and found this great little place. Perry and Paul (hope I got your names right !) are so friendly and helpful. I was told 5pm for check in but they were so accommodating when I asked if I could check in earlier. The room was clean and had all the mod cons I needed - including strong wi-fi for my work. I was leaving before breakfast (starts at 0730), but Perry couldn't do enough for me and she rustled up a lovely bacon sarnie for me to take away in the morning. I'll definitely be back when work brings me to the area again.

PPengguna TetamuWe chose this hotel as we needed to be close to QMC for a couple of days (less than 10 mins walk). From start to finish the experience was great. The staff were lovely - nothing was too much trouble. Lovely, spacious room overlooking the lake and wonderful bird spotting. Great to be able to park free of charge and walk to QMC. Breakfast excellent value and a great choice. Buses into Nottingham from the top of the road. Our No 1 choice for our next visit.

PPengguna TetamuNow, I can't speak for everyone's experience as I'm sure opinion will vary but I can o ly speak to my experience. So here we go... Me and my partner arrived earlier than expected and the hotel was extremely accommodating and checked us in right away. We got a room on the ground floor, which had a door that opens into the court yard at the back of the resteraunt. It was really lovely. The rooms was clean and beautiful, I found absolutely no faults in the room. I have stayed in many hotels that claim to be 4 star but usually aren't based on one thing or another. This is what a proper 4 star hotel should be like in my opinion. The food at the resteraunt was very flavourful and dessert was amazing. They also have room service available. The breakfast buffet..... Was absolutely incredible. They had a broad selection of foods, there was literally something for everyone. I had a full English and it was SO good. Honestly I didn't want to leave The staff are very friendly, professional and they were always on point, period. We were originally going to stay at the Premier Inn or Holiday Inn but I am so glad we chose this hotel instead because we had an amazing experience and I'd loveto come back. If you're going to be in the area, don't hesitate, honestly you won't regret it.

Unfortunately, I was only booked in for the one night; arrived late and left early. Overall a short but pleasant stay. Would book again in future if visiting Nottingham.

AAndrew stephenThe pool and spa are the best part honestly. The steam room and sauna are fantastic and the pool is very clean.
The room itself was spacious and also clean, however it was rather noisy due to every door slamming closed annoyingly. The food was also not that great.
All in all I think it's a real bargain for the money, I'd just bring some food.

PPengguna TetamuRecently stayed here for the 1st time due to having a night away and it being close to amenities and next to the train station. We checked in and the staff were lovely and polite. Our room was lovely and clean with an en-suit and a good selection of drinks the pillow was a little hard but I'm not complaining as I still had a good nites sleep. We came down for breakfast and choose to pay additional cost for a full english which was cooked perfectly the staff were lovely attentive and polite. It does have a few stairs to climb to certain rooms so this could be a disadvantage to some but it didn't bother us we will definitely stay here again in the future.

The carpet was too old to be cleaned. Heater was not that efficient that just better than nothing. Room located at different level which you feel get lost in the corridors😅

PPengguna TetamuIf you need a convenient stop on the M1 and don't mind traffic noise, then this is the place to be. Go to M&S 30 seconds away and get the calamari. Parking is perfect and rooms are clean. We only paid £51.99 for 2 adults and a teenager for Friday to Saturday. Check out at lunchtime.

PPengguna TetamuSet in lovely grounds this imposing building is full of history but like some many hotels of this age needs a big face lift. The only modernised area I came across was the toilets just off reception. The Main bar area with leather bound (not certain if faux?) and chesterfields is a lovely place in which to sit and relax with a drink. Looking up there is a balcony which is walked along to reach the bedrooms thereby offered a different perspective when looking down. I booked a king room with breakfast and asked if could have a nice view, and was told there were only a couple of rooms with poor views anyway so I need not worry?! Well the room we had number 14 had four small windows looking out on to the rear of the hotel. And the view included a heavily wooded area of wheelie bins - so much for the view; in hindsight we should have asked for another room. The first morning the breakfast was a 'help yourself' and all of the food was just warm - not hot. The coffee poured from a jug was also only warm. However on the second morning my full english was cooked to order and very tasty, but again the coffee was only warm. This was remedied when I asked a waitress if she would change it. The room was spacious though and the bed comfy, shower adequate and tea and coffee facilities acceptable. Staff were helpful and generally cheerful. Lastly it is no longer run by Best Western. A very interesting place to stay if visiting Nottingham and not too far to drive in to the town.

The room was reasonably clean and had everything for a short stay- kettle, tea and coffee etc, tv, dressing table with chair, wardrobe, bedside drawers, telephone, free Wi-Fi, plenty of plug sockets inc two usb sockets. Hand wash in bathroom had run out but we had shower gel provided. The mirrors could have been cleaner, and there were some stains on the walls. However, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the room was airy and surprisingly quiet. Free parking. Friendly and helpful manager and staff- happy to call a local taxi for you if required. Ideal location with a well served bus stop outside to take you into the city (£2 contactless payment). Lidl store opposite, alongside a great chippy, and a good family pub. No breakfast provided but hot food from outside allowed to be taken to rooms. For those with realistic expectations looking for a cheap overnight stay (we paid £49 a night) this is a good choice. Would definitely stay again, many thanks!
