Hotel Holiday Inn di Nottingham

We booked a twin room, but at check-in, the front desk initially gave us a key card for a double bed room. The staff was polite and quickly helped us switch to the correct room type. However, the bathroom faucet had an issue—it sprayed water in two streams, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the room had some minor issues.

With a 20-25 minutes’ walk away from the town centre where you can get up to some serious shopping. Why not visit The Exchange - Nottinghams oldest shopping centre - or the Intu Victoria Centre, with over 120 stores and restaurants inside? Youll also be a short drive away from the famous Sherwood Forest, and many of Nottingham’s beautiful historical sites. Wed highly recommend heading to the City of Caves and taking a tour through Nottinghams hidden underground world. Nottingham Castle is also a hugely popular point of interest and gives a great insight into the story of Robin Hood.The hotel sits in the heart of England, providing speedy links to many surrounding cities - so spread your wings and take a trip to Derby and Leicester. Leicester boasts in own selection of famed attractions, including the New Walk Museum, with plenty of natural history exhibits, and the National Space Centre which boasts six interactive galleries, a 3D Simulator and the UKs largest planetarium. If you choose to spend the day in Derby, check out the gothic Derby Cathedral and the classical country house Calke Abbey.A day of shopping, sightseeing or museum hopping is sure to leave you with a serious appetite, so head to The Carrington restaurant once you arrive back to the hotel. The restaurant serves an impeccable a la carte menu and a slightly cheaper wine and dine menu - including a glass of your favourite red, white or rose. The hotel bar will be waiting to welcome you for a pre-dinner drink, or a late-night cap, so rest assured youll be in for an evening of relaxation and indulgence.

Located next to the Nottingham railway station, clean facilities, and a nice enough room. However, the bathroom was quite dated, with the hand towel bizarrely located next to the toilet (instead of the sink at the opposite corner), and lower than expected shower pressure. The television was placed at the side of the room (so, perpendicular to the sightline from bed), and you’d need to pay for toothbrushes and other amenities (at a premium rate) that are provided for free upon request at other hotels. There also don’t seem to be enough lifts — we had to wait some time as people were checking out. Staff were friendly enough, and this was one of the more affordable options that evening. Would only recommend if there’s a discount (don’t expect a premium offering, and you’ll be fine).

Booked this hotel as we was going to the take that concert at city ground, it's very close to the city center with all the pubs and clubs in walking distance and even closer to Nottingham castle and ye old trip to Jerusalem bar which is a must visit very quirky. The staff are very friendly and polite and the hotel is very clean with all the amenities you would need for a break away. The hotel is in walking distance to the station but also has parking outside the hotel but is limited but the us a multi storey next door. We will definitely be using this hotel again next time we visit

We were allocated a double room. Things were fine. At the last day, there was water noise from the roof. It was certain there was a leak on the water pipe on the roof which was causing sound. Be clear that there was no leaking in our room, only the sound which was certainly irritating. I complained to the front desk. They came and decided to shift my room along with complementary drinks as it was out of hours to fix it.

It was for are first anniversary the staff went beyond on making the day a lovely one at no fault. The courtyard room was a good size with a lovely shower a comfy firm bed with hard pillows but the let downs were no phone for room service only scan a QR code for a selection of 24 hours pizza as well as a mini bar in the fridge at reasonable prices, the courtyard is sort of not private I was worried someone would just be sat there watching us sleep as there a gated entrance to the courtyard which leads to your room next to black gate is another room called the hideout so I didn't know if someone was gonna just come sit down in what suppose to be private there no lock or chain with a padlock on the gate for safety and privacy as well the courtyard has no roof so the rooms above you can watch what your doing in the courtyard which isn't a problem and we couldn't use the courtyard much because all the seats were soaking wet. There's no security on the door at night and it's not locked you can just walk in straight to a room. Breakfast was absolutely lovely the Hollandaise sauce was phenomenal so not a let down at all there. Thank you to the team for a lovely anniversary it was all set up perfectly I was just worried about someone sitting in the courtyard when we woke up and watching us.

A very good location for visiting The University of Nottingham. Comfortable bed. Fast internet. That’s all I need for a short business trip.

First time here and loved it. Great room, good location and friendly helpful staff. Definitely use it again
