Premier Inn Nottingham City Centre (Chapel Bar) Hotel

Firstly, we paid extra for an 11am check in. We arrived at midday and our room was not ready, so we waited in the bar for 20 -30 minutes until the receptionist came to tell us the room was available. We also paid extra for a Premier Plus room which was no bigger than a standard room. We discovered that our duvet cover was stained, we had no bottled water or sweet treats (whatever they were!) only 4 coffee pods, we asked for more and we were told that they would be brought to our room, but they never arrived. The view from our room was very disappointing overlooking a flat roof and resembling an unfinished building site. the lift doors had graffiti on the inside. Overall, a very very disappointing experience. After more than ten years as a loyal customer it is unlikely that we will use Premier Inn again.

Despite being right next to busy road and lots of roadworks going on, the room was quiet and comfortable. The only downside was there was only one electric socket on the bed side of the room, making it difficult to plug both CPAP machines in, but we anticipated this and had an extension cable. Check in was welcoming and everything went smoothly.

The gentleman on reception called Alex was very helpful and informative. The room was as described and well maintained. My only gripe.. I didn't realise there wasn't an on site car park and parked a couple of streets away which wasn't cheap. It might be an idea that the hotel rent customer parking spaces from the local NCP or council. Other than that, a pleasant stay.

Alex was super helpful and friendly, he gave us great local advice on where to go. I had a great stay at Premier Inn [location]! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, just what I needed after a long day. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I also appreciated how quiet the hotel was at night, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The location was ideal—close to everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

There was a lovely lady at reception (1st april 2025 - 12:30noon). The system was currently down but she coped very well and calmly noted down all that was needed. She managed to find me a room very promptly so all was well. Room is lovely and clean.
