Hotel berhampiran Luxury Vacation bungalow on the Veluwe, Nunspeet

Uitstekend hotel met bijzonder vriendelijke mensen tot aan de chef toe. Dikke plus voor de hulpvaardigheid en meedenken toen één van onze vrienden een ongelukje had gehad. Komen zeker terug. Kleine opmerkingen: als je meerdere dagen blijft mag de menukaart voor het arrangement wat ons betreft iets uitgebreider. We komen zeker een keer terug!

Excellently positioned hotel for a peaceful countryside stay. The room was clean and comfortable, though a little cold, even though the outside temperature was extremely hot. I am guessing that the cabin has very thick insulation. The room was always dark under the trees, and not facing the sun, which was disappointing. Pleasantly surprised that a coffee pod machine was provided, as well as a small kettle for tea, as this is not standard on the Continent, so I had not brought my usual survival kit with me! Amazed at the huge size of the shower room, that was set up as a wet room. Unfortunately the shower drain did not work efficiently enough to counter the fact that the room floor sloped away from it! So water pooled across the room under the wash hand basin and vanity unit. This made the floor very slippery and dangerous. A large squeegee mop was provided, but it took some effort to push the water towards the floor drain. I therefore, only showered at night, and very quickly to use less water, when the floor could be left to dry out. The food was good, and vegetarian/vegan options were available. I particularly liked the breakfast buffet, where an excellent selection was set out every morning, and included sliced salad, and fresh fruit. There was only a problem one night, when the travel company hadn't booked dinner for my coach party, and I had been unable to buy food at the Floriad event which was caŕd only, and I had only euros! The hotel restaurant was very busy with another party, and the bar food too was not available....so I suffered a very hungry night. I only wanted bread and cheese, but no one would sell that to me! I often find that hotels, do not do 'basic' food, assuming that guests only want cooked! Thinking about this now, I probably should have gone to Reception to explain my plight, but I just thought it was my fault having only euros with me, and not noticing that only two night's dinners were provided. In the following days, I made sure that I always had cheese and salad rolls, as a backup! The grounds around the hotel were pleasant and the swimming pool was in an attractive wooded area. Pity though, that there didn't seem to be any shops or cafes in walking distance!

Every time I drive my partner to Holland we look for a Van der Valk hotel whatever our destination because we know exactly what to expect .. High standard quality of service , amenities , food, interior design .. and above all friendly and competent staff .. Hotel van der Valk Apeldoorn is no exception...Nice pool , very large and comfortable design room , very comfortable box spring bed, pet friendly hotel , a nice park nearby to walk your dog , and above all the famous van der Valk breakfast ... Smoked Salmon , muffins, various kinds of bread , croissants, cheeses , marmalades , waffeln with cherries marmalade , cold cutts.... and of course scrambled eggs with bacon or omelette ...

Heerlijk rustig hotel. Mooi gelegen in het bos, met de hond liepen we zo het bos in zonder eerst weer de auto in te hoeven. We begrijpen dat honden niet toegestaan zijn in het restaurant en vonden het Grand Café een zeer goed alternatief. We konden hier ontbijten en ons 3-gangen diner nuttigen. Enige feedback is dat we graag een kamer voorkeur op hadden willen geven, de kaart in het Grand Café beperkt is (een mooie burger of biefstuk met friet zou niet misstaan) en de koffiefaciliteiten op de kamer vielen tegen. Als je als Bilderberg koffiefaciliteiten op de kamer aanbiedt, dan is een waterkoker met oploskoffie een farce.

I was warmly welcomed late in the evening. The check-in was very pleasant and charming. The room was very spacious, a little dark, but not disturbing. The encounter with the supposed governess in the morning also left a professional impression. The bike hire service is a must to discover more of the surrounding area. The highlight was the restaurant visit in the evening. A wonderful 4-course surprise menu from the kitchen at a high level. The service was also incredibly harmonious and i was well looked after. The homemade butter and the homemade bread were simply heavenly. In general, I can say that this hotel is a little hidden gem in the heart of the Netherlands. Stayed here last week in a twin bed room with my sister. Couldn’t fault a thing. It was very clean and tidy, the bathroom was clean and the shower was lovely and hot. We had a couple of meals which were very nice and the breakfast was as you would expect, some English and also continental and there was plenty of choice. Would certainly use this hotel again.

Super schone lokatie, bijzonder vriendelijke medewerkers, prima bedden, ruime kamer, badkamer was ruim en uitermate schoon apart bad, dus je hoeft niet te douchen in het bad, zeker voor wat oudere mensen is dit goed geregeld, geweldig ontbijt, het avondeten was prima
