I had the whole family over I was having a business trip and chose to have some days off for the family along with the trip. Best choice in a while.. The hotel is very good, it looks it´s age, but it is well kept, no issues at all. the serve was impecable. the food in the morning was very good, the manager at the restaurant was doing an exceptional service. we had a bad experience at an Independence party in othe venue and I called back to the hotel, we got helped, they saved the party and we had an amazing evening. We did not went into the pool, it was freezing outside and we were not taking chances..

I really liked the charm of this hotel as it’s situated in an old colonial building with a courtyard complete with a small swimming pool. The rooms are basic but air conditioned, which is an essential in Oaxaca! Breakfast is served on a lovely roof terrace; the perfect way to start the day and relax in the morning sun. What’s more, the hotel is very centrally located making it the perfect hub for exploring.

We are a group of 17 staying here. Myself in room #311 which is a spacious junior suite. Rooms are OK, except wash basin is not really suitable for a room, rather, a restaurant. Troubles came when I overheard my friend’s laundry was missing an item. Then I quickly checked my laundry and true enough, 1 item is also missing. Right that very night I rushed to the concierge and apparently as it was a shirt, they put it on a hanger, instead of folded. Room #312 trousers were mixed up with other rooms’s trousers, luckily they were from our own group. Could you imagine if your clothes got mixed up with guests who had checked out and didn’t examine the laundry like I hadn’t? Another friend’s laundry got charged over $300 pesos for only 3 pieces. After recalculating then he only needs to pay ＜$50. What happened was that the receptionist charged other groups’ bill to my friend’s! Wifi was also weak and keeps disconnecting. I had to request another wifi password because mine wasn’t working despite numerous attempts, which of course was frustrating. So despite having a spacious room with 2 desks and two chairs, don’t expect to be able to conduct some meaningful work as wifi is unreliable. We chose this hotel as it is located just outside city center so to avoid heavy traffic. But this hotel really barely operates at minimum standards.

Ended up staying here for a night while on a trip with my wife for a best friends wedding but Amazing service I could not be more satisfied from start to finish even after. Bags were taken in from the beginning straight to our room after check in. Room was clean and with a gorgeous view of the city. Felt welcomed our whole stay. We went down to the pool and towels were easily accessible and great area to swim in and relax. We then decided to have dinner down by the pool which was delicious and service was great. Server was very attentive and polite. At this point I wish we had more time to stay another night. Then ended the night relaxing in bed when we still craved refreshments from dinner and room service was fast. While getting ready to leave the next morning I noticed I left my iPad in the room and when I reached out to a manager through email (Carlos Sosa Navarrete) since calling wasn’t working for me he was really helpful and was able to send a taxi to deliver my iPad to the airport. He was so responsive through email. Honestly best experience I’ve had compared to back home. Don’t have nothing negative to say besides we wish we could’ve stayed longer. I never leave reviews but this place was a must and wasn’t missing an opportunity to let others know of this amazing spot.

We found Hacienda almost by accident, but are so happy we did. It was the last night of a 6 day road trip through Mexico. We needed secure parking for our car with loaded roof rack. Hacienda has a convenient restaurant tucked behind it's gates, with delicious food and friendly service. Our room was upstairs, clean and comfortable. There is also a pool in the courtyard.

This has to be the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. Not only do the staff clean your room and mop the floors every day, I witnessed them going so far as to polish the backsides of the trash cans! If you're OCD about cleanliness, this is a great choice. But there's a lot more to love about this hotel. It's right on the main tourist street, about halfway between two of the main sights (the Zocolo and the Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán / museum) and right in the middle of the best shops and restaurants. The hotel also has a courtyard that doubles as a restaurant, and the food is really good. (I'm still dreaming of the octopus entrée.) Most importantly, all of the staff are really nice people who feel like they want to be there, and we enjoyed chatting with many of them. You have to get really nitpicky to find any negatives. Parking is at a lot a block away, but that's not bad for a hotel in the middle of the historic district. Also, there's no elevator, and it's a bit of a hike if you're staying on the top floor. (They'll take care of your luggage, of course.) But unless either of those things are a deal breaker for you, staying here is an absolute no brainer. It's a real gem in Oaxaca.
