Hotel berhampiran Foot Locker, Oberhausen

Wir waren zu fünft im Hotel eingecheckt und hatten zwei Zimmer mit Schiebetür- super klasse. Tolles Hotel, sehr sauber, großes Bad, bequeme Betten, leckere Getränke. Super Anbindung zum Shoppen und als Musical- Hotel- so haben wir es genutzt! Kompetentes und freundliches Personal sowohl an Rezeption, Reinigung oder Bar. Auch der Shuttle Service war toll. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Super leckeres ausgewogenes gesundes Frühstück- alles was das Herz begehrt. Von frischem Obst/Gemüse bis hin zu leckerem Rührei, tolle Brot/Brötchenauswahl sowie Tee- und Kaffeespezialitäten. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Auch die private Sauna war ein Traum und haben wir total genossen! Vielen lieben Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt! Ich vergebe 5 von 5 Sternen!

We stayed at residents for one night only and we were pleasantly surprise with the spacious and modern family room we were upgraded to for no extra cost. The reception staff was helpful and friendly with no delays when we were checking in and out. The hotel has also a games room with table tennis, pool table, table football and toys for smaller kids. Optional breakfast for €4 pp was a bargain. We came by car and there is free unsecured parking next to a swimming pool 50m from the hotel. Note that the hotel is in a low emission zone so even foreign cars need a green sticker to avoid penalty. We purchased this for €6 in a Dekra Aschaffenburg as that was on our way and it took 5 minutes with no hassle but you need you V5 or equivalent.

Het was geen kingsize bed… waren 2 bedden aan elkaar. Had ook geen hoofdleuning als op de foto’s en we hadden 2 aparte dekens!

Zimmer sind sehr schön. Personal sehr sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbueffet reichlich und alles frisch zubereitet. Das Hotel liegt Zentral, man kann zu Fuß alles sehr gut erreichen und ist direkt im Zentrum. Gerne wieder werde ich, wenn ich in Duisburg bin, dieses Hotel wählen.

Prima Standort, um Essen zu erkunden - Folkwang-Museum, Ausgehmeile Rü und die Innenstadt in Laufweite, und andere Destinationen gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Praktisch: Parkplätze für 14 Euro/Tag direkt am Haus. Zimmer okay, vielleicht ein bisschen bemüht hip, aber das kann ja altersbedingte Geschmackssache sein. Extrapunkte für das supernette, superfixe, super engagierte Team am Empfang!

Wow. What a trip that was to the Essen Spiel convention. And what an excellent hotel we have had the luck of booking a room into. Everything was top notch. We were given a room on the second floor, right across the elevator, in room 226. That was indeed super convenient, since for soundproofing, the windows were always shut, and I'm a smoker, so it made my outside trip to the smoking area easy. Everything in the room was where it should be. Plenty of sockets to plug our electronics in, a desk to put our convention stuff on and make our plans for the following day. Water pressure was spot on in the shower, all-in-one soap was naturally provided in a dispenser and filled daily. Room cleaning was done super meticulously in the morning and the cleaning people were nice and attentive when we happened to stumble upon them. All the staff we ran across were super nice and kind, even though we were always bugging them with annoying and trivial matters. The evening shift at the bar and reception really tried their best to satisfy our bothering demands. Hats off to them for putting up with us. I feel that we may have indeed tested their patience's limits. Despite all our best - or worst - but unintended in honesty - efforts to piss them off, they didn't even lose their smile. Great job, everyone! The cherry on top was the hotel's decision to open up a big room full of tables and chairs for the Spiel attendees to pass the night once the exhibition day was over. Really thoughtful and it's one of those small details that win people over. I'm looking forward to returning to the convention next year, and I'm sure I will be booking a room in this hotel alongside my plane and convention tickets. Keep it up, GHOTEL!

로비에 자판기가 있고, 역 안에 dm이나 물을 살 곳이 있어서 너무 편리했음. 그리고 병따개가 있어서 맥주 마실 때 편했음... 드라이기도 잘 작동되고 이 호텔에 머무르는 동안은 계속 좋았던 것 같음. 객실도 사진과 똑같음.

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Great hotel situated by the Marina/harbour and ideally placed for the city centre. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable hotel. Excellent and varied choice breakfast buffet. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly. Would have no fears about recommending this hotel.
