Hotel berhampiran Gartencenter Dobirr-Blotz, Oberhausen

Wir wurden an der Rezeption vom Personal sehr gastfreundlich begrüßt. Auch ansonsten ist das Personal sehr freundlich, man bekommt das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Der Raum am Empfang ist sehr sauber und modern ausgestattet. Den ersten schlechten Eindruck bekam ich im Fahrstuhl: etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber okay: mag ich mich nicht darüber beklagen. Los ging es als sich die Türen des Fahrstuhls öffneten und man die Flure der Stockwerke (Pural, nicht Singular! ) über die Ebenetage betritt: man wird empfangen von einem Teppichboden, der aus den 70er Jahren gleicht, dementsprechend sieht er auch befleckt aus, bis hinein ins Zimmer. Zimmer, erster Eindruck: in die Jahre heruntergekommen, erneuerungsbedürftig schmuztig! Da wir uns ein günstigeres Zimmer (als Komfort Zimmer betitelt) gebucht haben, möchte ich mich über die alte Möbel nicht beklagen, aber von Hygiene/Sauberkeit gab es keine Spur, egal in welchem Raum. Der Teppichboden war übersäht mit Flecken, die Fugen im Badezimmer verschimmelt, sowohl das Bettlaken als auch die Bettwäsche waren ebenfalls befleckt, dass einem der Ekel überkam. An der Kopfstütze des Bettes konnte man erkennen, wer sich schon alles über die Jahrzehnte den Kopf darauf abgerieben hat. Die obere Schicht hat sich schon mit Flächen abgeblättert. Mir war es wichtig, dass wir ein Doppelbett zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, so wie wir es auch gebucht hatten. Auch an dieser Erwartung wurde ich enttäuscht, wir bekamen kein Doppelbett wie beschrieben, sondern es wurden zwei Einzelbetten aneinander geschoben. Nachdem ich mich an der Rezeption darüber geäußert habe, wurde mir gesagt, dass alle Zimmer so ausgestattet seien. Dann sollte man es auch nicht als Zitat: ”Alle unsere 103 Hotelzimmer / Appartements sind mindestens 25 qm groß, ausgestattet mit Doppelbett 1,80x2m...” -Zitat Ende- ...verkaufen! Die Kuhle zwischen den Matratzen waren auf jeden Fall groß genug, dass ich mit Rückenschmerzen am nächsten Morgen wieder aufgewacht bin. Vielen Dank! Da wir die Textilien auf dem Zimmer rundum eklig fanden, hatten wir in der Nacht in unseren eigenen Kissen und Decken geschlafen, die wir zum Glück im Auto liegen hatten. Natürlich hätte ich mich an der Rezeption darüber beschweren können, aber die Anreise war schon lange und anstrengend genug, da hatten wir keine Lust mehr, uns noch damit auseinanderzusetzen. Das Einzige, was mir am Zimmer positiv aufgefallen war ist, dass die Fenster Schalldicht waren, über die Ruhe konnte man sich nicht beklagen. Am Frühstück hatten wir am nächsten Tag keine großen Erwartungen mehr. Es war reichhaltig an Auswahl vorhanden. Das Frühstück an sich würde ich nicht empfehlen, aber es war ”okay”! Da wir tagsüber den ganzen Tag bis spät Abends unterwegs waren und nur eine Bleibe zur Übernachtung gebucht hatten, machten wir uns auch nicht mehr die Mühe uns ein anderes Hotel zu suchen, aber die Überlegung hatten wir. I wanted to book my third visit to this hotel Unfortunately I contacted them by phone and by mail to make a booking. But... The first time by phone they asked me to call another time as they were busy. The second time, the second day, they told me that they already told me that they are busy to take my reservation and I need to send my request by mail. The mail was not answered So the third day I called and they told me that they will check my email when they are less busy. I didn't want to bother them further as they most probably are still busy doing anything else than taking care of their customers. Wir waren zu fünft im Hotel eingecheckt und hatten zwei Zimmer mit Schiebetür- super klasse. Tolles Hotel, sehr sauber, großes Bad, bequeme Betten, leckere Getränke. Super Anbindung zum Shoppen und als Musical- Hotel- so haben wir es genutzt! Kompetentes und freundliches Personal sowohl an Rezeption, Reinigung oder Bar. Auch der Shuttle Service war toll. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Super leckeres ausgewogenes gesundes Frühstück- alles was das Herz begehrt. Von frischem Obst/Gemüse bis hin zu leckerem Rührei, tolle Brot/Brötchenauswahl sowie Tee- und Kaffeespezialitäten. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Auch die private Sauna war ein Traum und haben wir total genossen! Vielen lieben Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt! Ich vergebe 5 von 5 Sternen!

This is building with few apartments and with no reception, so this is not a hotel (name on google maps may be misleading). We rented a 3-bedroom apartment for 2 nights - spacious, modernly furnished, well-equipped kitchen with household appliances (nothing was really missing). One main bathroom and additionally a second toilet. Ample parking at the back of the building. A few minuses - we arrived late at night and the whole apartment was cold because the heating was turned off (good we all packed long sleeves pijamas). I confirm the opinions that the mattresses are soft, so not necessarily good for everyone. For such a large apartment and the number of guests it can accommodate, I missed a larger sofa / more seats in the living room, in the living area by the coffee table.

The hotel was clean and nice, breakfast was good all though some in our party was missing bacon at the breakfast buffet. Check-in was a little slow, and during the night the drink serving was really slow. The reception seemed undermanned as one guy had to handle both the check ins and the bar. This made him unable to clear the tables from empty drinks. The waiting time at the bar was hardy ever less than 5 minutes.

Wir waren aufgrund einer Messe zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Ich kann meinen Vorrednern hier absolut nicht zustimmen. Bei uns war alles in Ordnung. Das Zimmer im Haupthaus war sauber und gepflegt. Das Hotel hatte Probleme mit dem Fernsehempfang - darauf wurden wir vorher hingewiesen und es war für uns kein Problem, da wir die wenigste Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes im Zimmer verbrachten. Im Nebengebäude sollte das Fernsehen funktionieren - falls gewünscht hätten wir dorthin wechseln können. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und lecker. Frisches Obst und geschnittenes Gemüse, eine kleine Auswahl an frischen Brötchen sowie diverse Aufstriche und Beläge und vieles mehr. Als Milchalternative konnte man Sojamilch wählen. Der Service im Hotel war sehr freundlich. Ein kleines Manko - unser Zimmer wurde nach der ersten Nacht nicht gemacht. War für uns aber kein Problem bei nur zwei Nächten Aufenthalt. Eventuell haben wir hier auch einfach nur etwas überlesen und es war wirklich nicht inklusive. Vielleicht sind das auch Coronaregeln von denen wir nichts wussten. Aber wie gesagt... Für uns halb so wild. Das Hotel liegt super zentral - die Innenstadt, ein großes Einkaufszentrum sowie die U-Bahn ist locker fußläufig zu erreichen.

Correct sans plus Les chambres sont tristes avec leurs murs gris et moquette grise. Taille correcte. Les chambres donnant sur le boulevard sont bruyantes. Pour une personne le « grand » lit est équipé d’un seul oreiller et d’une couette 1 personne… Je n’ai jamais vu ça. Privilégier les chambres côté jardin, la vue est beaucoup plus jolie. La salle petit déjeuner et est agréable et le personnel est accueillant.

Das Mercure Duisburg City ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Eine städtische Tiefgarage liegt unter dem Hotel (€ 12/Tag). Das Hotel macht zunächst einen guten Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war groß und gut eingerichtet. Das Bad ist sehr schön und einen kostenfreien Hotelsafe gibt es auch. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot eine große Auswahl und ließ keine Wünsche offen, wenn man davon absieht, dass es ab und zu keine Teller gab, der Kaffeeautomat regelmäßig ausfiel und Rührei nur sporadisch verfügbar war. Da unser Doppelzimmer zunächst nur für eine Person ausgestattet war ( eine Decke u. einmal Handtücher) wurde nach Reklamation bei der Rezeption nachgebessert. Die Körnung dann am zweiten Tag: die Zimmer und die Betten werden wegen coronabedingtem Personalmangel in diesem Hause nicht mehr gemacht. Reklamation bei der Rezeption zwecklos. Zwei Übernachtungen mit Frühstück im Doppelzimmer für € 186,- sind im vorliegenden Fall komplette überzogen. Ich werde hier nicht mehr übernachten!

Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch.
