Hotel berhampiran Okaya Silk Factory Museum, Okaya

The hotel just near the station and that was good and maybe only good. They allocated us a non-smoking room but it was quite smelly of cigarettes. I believe the room was supposed to be a smoking room before and no deodorization well. The bed mattress didn't absorb the vibrations so it is not comfortable if you sleep on a double size bed with two. The sofa cover had some big stains on it and seems not to be clean. However, the town doesn't have any good hotel actually and you may not find a good alternative one.

The hotel location is very good close to train station and bus station across the street. Also, provide breakfast and free drink. It really value for money even the room is small but don’t usually stay at hotel all day so it’s ok.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. It was clean and the hot spring water was soft and made my skin smooth. We also visited the large bathroom downstairs, which was spacious and had nice spring water. Dinner was prepared in a separate private room. Again, this was a nice Japanese-style room with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was very tasty from the starters and I felt happy. And the staff were very helpful, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. She saw me off when I left, and at that point she pointed to the roof of the hotel and said, ”Look. I looked at the roof and saw a real heron perched on it. And when we got in the car and started driving away, the heron flew away too. That was the last service at the Saginoyu(Heron’s Bath).

The hotel is near to Matsumoto Station. The restaurant/reception is at 10th floor which has a nice view of the Alps!

This is one of the smaller properties in the Dormy Inn chain. That being said it still has the spa and leashing machines, varied breakfast buffet, late night ramen noodles and good service. There was a loud whistle coming from bad seals in the windows in our rooms and they upgraded us to twins immediately. It was the off season but we felt very well looked after. The location is a short walk from the station and well located.

We decided to stop in Suwa to break up a long drive back to Tokyo. Shinyu looked very good and the price was reasonable. The hotel is renovated and gives a nice modern spa hotel atmosphere. The greeting at the hotel is very nice and the lobby area is beautiful. We felt very welcomed when we arrived. Our room was facing the lake. It was Japanese style with tatami and futons. Nice room, nice view. The public bath was nice. Not huge but felt very good. They have an indoor bath, small outdoor bath, a sauna and a cold bath. Dinner was great, as was breakfast. They were both courses and delicious. Service? Well, this is what makes all the difference. When we book hotels we need to detail my daughter's food allergies which are serious. For this trip we had booked many hotels in a row and for some reason when we booked Shinyu and checked-in we just forgot. It was our fault and when we sat for dinner we saw her prepared meal that she obviously could not eat. The staff at Shinyu didn't miss a beat. The didn't make a big deal about it. No stress. The quickly adjusted and made a wonderful dinner for my daughter and also prepared for her breakfast in similar fashion. Wonderful. Such great service. Maybe the building isn't perfect. But the service was perfect. Shinyu was our last stop on our trip and we left with a smile. Shinyu gets an ”Excellent” from my family.

The hotel was a 5min walk from the JR station and the room was very spacious. Places like the Matsumoto Castle and Ishii miso brewery were also within 10-15mins walkable distance. I was also able to check-in earlier than the stipulated time and the staff could converse in English quite well.

Hotel situado a cinco minutos de la estación de tren, cosa que facilita, como en todo Japón, el acceso a restaurantes, autobuses y otros servicios de necesidad. Exento de adornos se distingue por su carácter práctico, adecuado para una estancia no muy prolongada en la ciudad. Habitación limpia y aseptica, camas de 1,30 cm. Ofrece desayuno no muy atractivo para el huesped occidental. Estrictos hasta el rigor en cumplir la hora de entrada a la habitación.

朝食が良かった。フルーツ盛りができるくらいフルーツが出る。肉、魚、野菜、惣菜があり、フライばかりに逃げていないところが好感持てます。ヨーグルトもあり、連泊しても飽きずに色々食べることができました。 ベットもシモンズでいいです。 椅子もしっかり背もたれでした。 温泉は小さいけれど本物でした。 ウォーターサーバがあったものプラスです。 紅茶、緑茶、ドリップコーヒーが部屋にあったのでお水を貰ってきて飲んでました。 早めに予約するとお得に泊まれるようですが、コスパはなかなか良いと思います。
