Hotel Staybridge Suites di Oklahoma City

We recently stayed for one night at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The entire property was spotlessly clean, updated, modern and comfortable. Our king room was very spacious and our bed was super comfortable. Loved the Dove products in the bathroom. The location is on the outskirts of Bricktown, but an easy walk to the restaurants. One perk was the free parking, which I didn't see offered at any of the other Bricktown hotels. There is a train that goes directly past the hotel and when it does, it is loud. But it didn't happen too often. During our stay, I think it passed once in the early evening and then once again in the morning, around 8:45 am. Not too early. There were horrible storms and tornado warnings the evening we were there, which made us, being from the northeast, a bit nervous, but the gentleman at the front desk told us what the emergency plans were in case the sirens went off indicating a tornado in the vicinity. Fortunately, the downtown area was not affected. We were very appreciative of his helpfulness.

During this trip we stayed in a Staybridge hotel in another city where the receptionist was out of order (review written here for that hotel) that is why I am mentioning what a great asset the young receptionist who welcomed us as we arrived late at night is to this hotel chain while still studying for her university degree. Smiling, friendly, positive - this is how you want to be welcomed by a receptionitst in a new place during a trip of 3000 miles drive when you might get a big sick too. This Staybridge had a similar layout to the problematic Staybridge we stayed in Corpus Christi with the difference that is a new hotel where everything functions properly: - quiet fridge in the room - quiet air con which can be switched off easily at night - warm breakfast available even close to 9am, unlike the 'working hotel' with rowdy receptionist in Corpus Christi - we chose room 405 (the hotel plan pictured here by me is not accurate in the sense that it does not show the small square where 405 is and lots of other rooms are located). There were some large families nearby but apart from a family with small kids where the father was either playing with the kids with the door open or the kids were allowed to have the TV on max during the day, I heard no other noise. - this is not a 'working hotel' like the one in Corpus Christi, so no construction and cigarette smells - is a clean cut hotel which I highly recommend - room 405 was overlooking the side of the hotel (towards west) where a small road is allowing the occasional car to pass from the parking located at the back of the hotel to the front of the hotel). The main road is located in the distance and there are plenty of restaurants/ice cream places nearby I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for my 3 months at the academy (August-November 2022), and I'm happy to say I had a great experience! If you're an ATC student, you need to stay here... seriously. I remember my head spinning while trying to find a place in OKC, but I really made a good choice with this hotel. Pros: Good amenities. Free laundry, a pool, hot tub, housekeeping, gym. A big plus is that there's free dinner on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. Don't expect anything too extravagant, but it's free. Not a lot of hotels do this, and you will appreciate it while you're at the academy. They also have free breakfast every day..and it's not just cereal and prepackaged muffins. I'm talking sausage, waffles, eggs, biscuits, fruit, etc. They also have coffee available pretty much all day. The staff was great and the room was just what I needed. There's also a nice area downstairs where you can do study groups. Location is good.. 10 minutes from the academy and about 10 minutes to an area with a Walmart, shopping places, and lots of food choices. Cons: Not a lot to say here, honestly. The only thing is OKC's homeless problem. There's a walking/biking trail right next to the hotel that the homeless like to hang out around. I had 2 jackets stolen out of my car, but at least my window wasn't broken. Someone who parked next to me did have their window broken, though. Basically, don't park on the side of the hotel and make sure you lock your doors. Unless you're the type of person that needs a roommate, you need to stay here. I don't really get the appeal with some of the more popular places like Kim's place and crashpads. Why risk a bad roommate when you can have your own room for the same price? Best of luck!
