Lovely little hotel, quiet and peaceful. Recommend a car to get the best out of it but everything about it is lovely. Great staff ,reasonable food and will definitely be back. Sat in the middle of the country but only a short drive to the coast.15 min drive from airport. Taxi from airport approx 28 euros.Grounds are lovely with nice walk and exercise equipment on hand. Choice of hotel room or apartment away from main hotel block. All staff are a credit to this hotel.

Rating by the door was a one star but should be rated a bit higher. Was given a 3) bed room (3 x twin beds) which was ok, except the 3rd bed took up precious room space. Room was clean, shower was clean, entire hotel appeared clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking was available. Hotel is near the road but did not notice any undue noise at night. Hotel has a nice patio and a pool. Vending machines are available on property. Close enough to Tavira town to walk, just need to navigate the roundabout carefully. Walking in the middle of summer may not be advisable though. Room had a well functioning and quiet A/C. A small refrigerator was available. Breakfast was good and included in the room rate. The pastries were very good. Also available was a variety of breads, jams, some cold cuts and cheese and a bowl of chunky fruits. Coffee (machine) was somewhat typical of the area, coffee came out either too strong or too weak. Ended up using the black setting and adding my own milk. It's a bit odd that the traditional coffee milk available in most northern European countries was not available. 3 types of juices were dispensed from the machine with the orange being the best. Scrambled eggs smelled a bit fishy, also somewhat typical of the area, believe it is due to chickens being fed fish meal. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel specializing in rotisserie chicken, not sure if the restaurant was part of the hotel or independent. Price was very reasonable. Only complaint would be that meals are often served with only boiled or french fried potatoes, and lettuce with tomato salad. If visiting Tavira head to Santa Luzia and A Casa restaurant and try the grilled Octopus.

If you're looking for a great place to chill Herdade da Corte is where you need to go. A Rio Grande style and feel about it, surrounded by fabulous hilly views, orange, lemon trees, olive groves, and pure adulterated silence. You hear the whisper of the breeze throughout the outdoor areas which have casual seating dotted about, a sweeping view, and a to die for salt-water pool. If you want 5 star service and a butler this isn't the place for you! Our favourite time of the day was a leisurely hour and half munching our way through the buffet breakfast, consisting of 4 different freshly made juices, a good selection of local produce, bread, rolls, pastries and cake, cheese, cold meats, fruits, yoghurt, and natural cereals - while idly looking out to the hills. There's also an array of teas, and the coffee is via a machine which is good - but goat's milk! We've travelled the world extensively and it's rare to find such a place. If you want to jazz up your time there Tavira is charming, along with Tavira Island. You do need a car if you stay at Herdade and want to visit many areas, however, we had read other reviews and knew that - but we just wanted to relax there and do nothing! We stayed 4 days and did venture out 1 afternoon to a restaurant in St Luzia. Local taxi, very nice driver. 20 euro each way (same prices to Tavira) about 15 minutes journey. The owners Joao and Francisco are cool, interesting guys, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area , local produce, wines, and activities to do there - hiking, etc. Good massage also available in relaxing room. €50 Personally speaking, we dossed (an English word for lazing about) around the pool , helping ourselves to the well-stocked honesty bar, with the occasional beer/glass of wine, absorbed in a few good crime novels. Please note: after breakfast there is NO food available until 7pm. We knew that and brought along our own snacks, nuts etc. The evening menu is mainly cold, very good local produce - oh, please try the prawns (they hot). We tried almost everything on the menu during our stay - couldn't fault anything. My husband arrived completely knackered (another old-school word for tiredness) and after almost 4 days rooted to the place said he felt like the Six Million Dollar Man! Absolutely gorgeous grounds and building, spent a few hours wandering the public gardens and the private grounds, the house and enjoying the pool. Fantastic services, delicious breakfast, lovely front of house staff. Would recommend eating dinner in the village, I enjoyed delicious dourada and wine for 10 euro at O Belo Sol. Taxi from the palace to the airport is 20 euro and takes 20 mins.

We paid 176 Euro, incl breakfast for 3 persons for an old hotel with simple furnitures and very small rooms. Sorry, we travel a lot around the world, and can compare price-performance ratios. This price for this room is ridiculous. There is also no pick up service from the airport as announced in trip.com! The service was good, we checked in at 01:30 in the morning. The staff is very friendly. But again not worthy at all. Sorry for this harsh review but we are very disappointed and not sure to use trip.com again.

It’s a good hotel near everything. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you can find a good deal, it’s definitely recommended. Just the bathroom leaks a lot when showering, which can be annoying if you’re staying many nights.

We had a five night break in Faro and stayed at this hotel, conveniently sited overlooking the marina. The airport bus drops you within a three minute walk of the hotel and the train station is just a little further away. We were fortunate to have a lovely room with balcony from which we could see the old town beyond the marina. The room was very comfortable and of a good size too. One disadvantage of the hotel is the small lifts from the reception area to upper floors: we used the stairs for easier access once we had taken bags to our room. The breakfast was very good with a pleasant area outside which was quite warm even in November. Entertainment was provided by a resident pianist and added a little to the general ambience of breakfast time. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodation and would certainly stay there again if we were to revisit Faro.

Highly recommend. Flawless hotel, excellent service, super friendly staffs, amazing food quality. Every detail of our stay has been incredible. Also a special mention to the extremely helpful reception team. 2am room service is top notch, also one reception lady is so kind, she went above and beyond to help us to find a good Presunto, we will definitely come back because of the great service, which made our holiday stress free and enjoyable

Very welcoming at check in. Noa cafe on site is fab, with beautiful fresh and healthy food. Lovey, large kid friendly pool. Easy access and parking right opposite the apartment. Clean, but slightly dated apartment.
