Lovely little hotel, quiet and peaceful. Recommend a car to get the best out of it but everything about it is lovely. Great staff ,reasonable food and will definitely be back. Sat in the middle of the country but only a short drive to the coast.15 min drive from airport. Taxi from airport approx 28 euros.Grounds are lovely with nice walk and exercise equipment on hand. Choice of hotel room or apartment away from main hotel block. All staff are a credit to this hotel.

It’s a good hotel near everything. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you can find a good deal, it’s definitely recommended. Just the bathroom leaks a lot when showering, which can be annoying if you’re staying many nights.

We paid 176 Euro, incl breakfast for 3 persons for an old hotel with simple furnitures and very small rooms. Sorry, we travel a lot around the world, and can compare price-performance ratios. This price for this room is ridiculous. There is also no pick up service from the airport as announced in trip.com! The service was good, we checked in at 01:30 in the morning. The staff is very friendly. But again not worthy at all. Sorry for this harsh review but we are very disappointed and not sure to use trip.com again.

We had a five night break in Faro and stayed at this hotel, conveniently sited overlooking the marina. The airport bus drops you within a three minute walk of the hotel and the train station is just a little further away. We were fortunate to have a lovely room with balcony from which we could see the old town beyond the marina. The room was very comfortable and of a good size too. One disadvantage of the hotel is the small lifts from the reception area to upper floors: we used the stairs for easier access once we had taken bags to our room. The breakfast was very good with a pleasant area outside which was quite warm even in November. Entertainment was provided by a resident pianist and added a little to the general ambience of breakfast time. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodation and would certainly stay there again if we were to revisit Faro.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds and building, spent a few hours wandering the public gardens and the private grounds, the house and enjoying the pool. Fantastic services, delicious breakfast, lovely front of house staff. Would recommend eating dinner in the village, I enjoyed delicious dourada and wine for 10 euro at O Belo Sol. Taxi from the palace to the airport is 20 euro and takes 20 mins.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It's a distance from all the faro amenities, but it only a few euros in an Uber to reach the heart of faro. There is a free shuttle bus each morning and evening to take you to and from the faro old town and the beach, but we chose to do things on our own schedule. It was only my son and I who stayed here for 4 nights. We loved how quiet the pool area was, and spent lots of time there. The hotel is basic, but clean and served our needs well. The air conditioning in the room was a must! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly, particularly the lady working at the bar. The hotel was clean, although a little dated. But that didn't bother us. Breakfast wasn't the best I've seen, but we enjoyed what he ate. Quality of food in general was poor. We had dinner by the pool one night, and it was terrible. But that is the only negative of our holiday. We booked the shuttle bus to take us to the airport after check out. This was a seamless process, and it was very helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our few days spent at hotel Monaco.

If you're looking for a great place to chill Herdade da Corte is where you need to go. A Rio Grande style and feel about it, surrounded by fabulous hilly views, orange, lemon trees, olive groves, and pure adulterated silence. You hear the whisper of the breeze throughout the outdoor areas which have casual seating dotted about, a sweeping view, and a to die for salt-water pool. If you want 5 star service and a butler this isn't the place for you! Our favourite time of the day was a leisurely hour and half munching our way through the buffet breakfast, consisting of 4 different freshly made juices, a good selection of local produce, bread, rolls, pastries and cake, cheese, cold meats, fruits, yoghurt, and natural cereals - while idly looking out to the hills. There's also an array of teas, and the coffee is via a machine which is good - but goat's milk! We've travelled the world extensively and it's rare to find such a place. If you want to jazz up your time there Tavira is charming, along with Tavira Island. You do need a car if you stay at Herdade and want to visit many areas, however, we had read other reviews and knew that - but we just wanted to relax there and do nothing! We stayed 4 days and did venture out 1 afternoon to a restaurant in St Luzia. Local taxi, very nice driver. 20 euro each way (same prices to Tavira) about 15 minutes journey. The owners Joao and Francisco are cool, interesting guys, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area , local produce, wines, and activities to do there - hiking, etc. Good massage also available in relaxing room. €50 Personally speaking, we dossed (an English word for lazing about) around the pool , helping ourselves to the well-stocked honesty bar, with the occasional beer/glass of wine, absorbed in a few good crime novels. Please note: after breakfast there is NO food available until 7pm. We knew that and brought along our own snacks, nuts etc. The evening menu is mainly cold, very good local produce - oh, please try the prawns (they hot). We tried almost everything on the menu during our stay - couldn't fault anything. My husband arrived completely knackered (another old-school word for tiredness) and after almost 4 days rooted to the place said he felt like the Six Million Dollar Man! Highly recommend. Flawless hotel, excellent service, super friendly staffs, amazing food quality. Every detail of our stay has been incredible. Also a special mention to the extremely helpful reception team. 2am room service is top notch, also one reception lady is so kind, she went above and beyond to help us to find a good Presunto, we will definitely come back because of the great service, which made our holiday stress free and enjoyable

Checked in to ria park as a last minute booking following a nightmare end of our holiday (in a local apartment) where my youngest son and I were unable to go home as planned with the rest of our family. We had stayed a night before we arrived at Ria park in another local 5 star hotel and had a terrible experience there. From the moment we walked in to the ria park we were made to feel so safe and welcome. The room we were given was perfect, we ordered room service and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is so clean. We received a lovely welcome tray with some treats for my son and fresh fruit and waters. The air con was perfect, great tea and coffee facilities. Maid service so efficient. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but was clean and lovely, lots of loungers available. We were able to get a late check out which I was extremely grateful for after a difficult week and an evening flight. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of offer and we ate lunch at the pool bar. Brilliant selection, I was particularly impressed as I was able to get a vegetarian soja bolognaise. It’s in a great location for lovely restaurants and days out. I’m so pleased we stumbled across this hotel and will be booking to stay here next year. A special mention to Marta on reception. The was just the most kind and lovely person. So helpful. Thank you!
