Onomichi Royal Hotel

It's a little far from JR Onomichi Station. I walked there for more than ten minutes with my luggage. I could store my luggage. The room was small but well-equipped. It was a standard Japanese breakfast. It was worth the money. But if I wanted to go out to the nearest Lawson to buy something in the middle of the night, there were few street lights on the road and it was quite dark.

Everything else is good! The room was pretty clean and the view was nice. However, the heating is operated intensively and the frost is large, so it may be uncomfortable for those who are sensitive to noise. Still, the service was good and it was close to a famous ramen restaurant, so I was somewhat satisfied!

I paid extra to reserve a room facing the ocean, but unfortunately I ended up with a room facing the mountains. I realized this at night after taking a bath in the room, so I didn't ask to change it, but I hope the hotel and the booking site will work together.

Onomichi is considered a third-tier small city, and hotel prices are very cheap, so it shouldn’t be too harsh. but, 1. But, but, but, while dining in the restaurant on our last morning, a *rat* appeared in the restaurant! ! ! I saw a mouse in a hotel for the first time! Rats are smaller than Chinese rats and have thin faces. Japanese rat species are different. The mouse scurried away along the wall of the bar. I originally wanted to respond to the waiter, but considering the Japanese people dining around me and the fact that this was my last day, I didn't say anything. I checked out with my brother with a smile. Based on the above two points, I can only give onomichi royal hotel a failing grade. The location of this hotel is not particularly good. After coming out of Onomichi Station, you have to walk about 1km. In fact, the hotels in front of the station are very good. If you go to Onomichi next time, you should learn from this lesson. Finally, I want to say that the hygiene in the visible areas of the hotel is okay and in line with Japanese standards, but the invisible areas are very scary, such as the various black hairs on the toilet exhaust fan, which looks a bit disgusting.

The hotel is located right in front of the sea, so it's in a great location. There's also a popular Onomichi ramen restaurant next door, so it's convenient. It's a little far from Onomichi Station, about a 15-minute walk, but Senkoji Temple is also nearby, so it's just the right location for a stroll around Onomichi.

Travel is more convenient

The hotel is older than me, but it is well maintained. The single bed is also a relatively large one. The terrace on the top floor can overlook the location.

When I was in the room before departure (even though it was not yet check-out time) The door of the room was suddenly opened by the cleaning staff. It was good timing because I finished changing clothes, but I was really scared when I suddenly unlocked the door and opened it. I would like to know if there are people inside.

We think that location is very good. There was mold growing on the outlet of the air conditioner in the room, and I had a sore throat on the first day. The refrigerator didn't work well, and it was summer, and after the second day I couldn't use the air conditioner, I felt resentful. The ventilation fan in the bathroom was weak, the tiles in the bathtub were cracked (it was repaired), and the bottom of the bathtub made a rumbling sound that I thought the bottom would come off every time I stepped on it. It's a little disappointing that I'm worried about the details. I thought that the front desk and other staff were not bad, so if you are a business person alone, you may stay, but you can do something about the facilities (especially the air conditioner). Without it, I don't think I want to stay again with my family. It's a bit disappointing because the place is not bad and the front desk man was a good person to get information on various places to eat.
