Golden Clouds

We returned to Georgia yesterday, and I am already missing our friends in Jamaica! This villa and staff is amazing! Jamoya, the manager, is super helpful, and they had locals come in for us to sell souvenirs! The chefs were PHENOMENAL! We had a few picky eaters, a beef allergy, and a birthday, and they were accommodating to all of it! Food is spectacular! David and Horace, your bartenders, butlers, servers, and friends, were always fun and energetic! Ken, who served breakfast and lunch, was always smiling and just super nice to work with. Ziggy went and got coconuts so my mom-in-law could try one. I can go on and on about the staff, as they were all capable of handling any requests or problems! Although, there were no problems for us. You will not be disappointed if you come here! You will relax, feel like family, and feel at home! There were 15 of us ages 12-75, and we did all the villa had to offer! Snorkeling, swimming, eating , relaxed, excercised, read, made friends, had quality time, kayaking, and so many other things! Our driver for the week, Uton, was awesome, too! Had to fill up the tank a few times, but it was worth it to have a local drive us the 2 hours from the airport and to shop some. Had a fishing trip planned and massages all through the reps, as well as through Jamoya. Don't think, just book! Best trip ever! PS. Don't forget to bring bug spray!

We just returned from Golden Clouds and it was spectacular. Every year, our family goes on a trip together, including parents, in-laws, siblings, nieces and nephews. And everyone agreed the highlight here is the staff. So, first, I want to shout out each and every one: Jamoya, the property manager went above and beyond to take care of us. She even went to the grocery store daily, and helped coordinated vans to and from places (TRAVELER TIP: don't prepay for trips. Get there and then decide when you want to leave, as the property is so stunning, you may decide you don't want to leave, except for maybe one night away, which was what we did). The all-day staff, Horace and David. They were there when the family got up every day (the kids started in the pool pretty early and then we had the kitchen staff make breakfast for us at 10am daily) and we usually played cards and smoked cigars until 1am or after. They stayed the entire time! They are some of the best bartenders I've come across (and I'm in the alcohol business, so I have the pleasure of having cocktails made for me around the world). They made my nieces and nephews nonstop virgin pina coladas that were so good, many of the adults got in on them, as well (thanks, guys!). I ordered my fair share of pina coladas (with rum, of course), my husband enjoyed classic rum daiquiris (served up versus frozen) and the mojitos and strawberry frozen daiquiris were also a crowd favorite. (TRAVELER TIP: Let them help you figure out where to get your booze for them to add to your drinks as there are a lot of hustlers in the city. They'll help you navigate that. We picked up a few bottles of rum on the way to the villa and then they helped us get the rest as the week went on.) Chef Wayne and Chef Pauline are awesome! We weren't sure if we were going to enjoy their food, so we didn't commit to more than two meals ahead of time. But they were SO good that we ended up having them make breakfast, lunch and dinner for us daily. Our breakfast favorites were their chicken & waffles and their meat and cheese scramble. And for dinner, the favorite hands down, was the Jamaican Chinese ("Jamaicanese" is what they nicknamed it :)) dinner. Oh my goodness, it was some of the best Chinese food we've ever had. The egg drop soup, vegetable eggrolls, sweet & sour chicken, and on and on. SO good! TRAVELER TIP: For food, a few suggestions: 1) You MUST have Kentucky Fried Chicken as a meal one of the days you are there. Everyone there gets KFC at least one day, and for good reason...it's delish! Locals said it's made with different spices than what we use in the States and fresh chicken, which is what makes it so food. I'm not sure about the different spices though, as it reminds me of what KFC used to taste like in the states 15 years ago. I think the difference is the Jamaican KFCs have stuck to the original recipe with no shortcuts. We actually had this twice, as it was that good; 2) The grocery stores HUSTLE Americans. The

The photos really don't do justice to the sheer beauty of this property! The meticulously manicured grounds are absolutely enchanting. The array of top-notch activities, including kayaking, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, tennis, and serene spots for relaxation, exceeded our expectations. What made our stay truly memorable was the exceptional staff, their unwavering attention to detail, and their dedication to creating a delightful experience for our extended family of 20+. The service was outstanding, and the food was not only delicious but also served with genuine warmth. Every moment of our stay was a joy, and we relished the overall experience. We'll be back!

My family of 21 people (5 of them being children) just visited this place and we had so much fun! The staff was absolutely incredible. So accommodating, hospitable, helpful and service oriented. The food and drinks were amazing. The space was full service. All of the different activists available on the property were perfect to keep our large family entertained and the view is absolutely stunning. We have been home for 4 days and I still don't know where to start. The experience at Golden Clouds was top tier. A group of 14, we utilized 10 of the 12 rooms available. From day to night the staff is attentive to providing customized needs. Most of our contact being with Ken, David, Ziggy, housekeeping, and Chef C, there was someone available at all times. Ken and David have excellent interpersonal skills being the two that "managed" us during meals either in the morning (Ken), afternoon (Ken/David), or evening (David). They have a high level of professionalism but they will relax as much as the group will allow. By the end of the week, they are part of the family. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily with laundry service provided on Tuesday and Thursday. The onsite amenities allowed for "rest" days while not on excursions throughout the week. Take your pick, kayaks, volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard, game room, or exercise room just to name a few. Extra services can be provided upon request. Everybody knows somebody that can either come to the villa or they can tell you exactly where to go to get it done. Highly recommend ground transportation during your stay. Our driver, Uton, carried us safely to and from destinations each and everyday. Whether we were out all day or moved once, he was right there. There were certain activities that we wanted to do but had no idea where to go. No worries, Uton saved the day. After having a mediocre experience traveling out of the country many years ago, I am more than happy I gave it another try with friends and family at Golden Clouds Villa. GCV saved and boosted my perception of traveling out of the country and I will definitely do it again. When I return it will be my choice of stay. I could say alot more but it is highly recommened that you have your own experience at GCV and formulate your own opinions.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Golden Clouds! The staff was so warm and helpful! Chevanese and Wayne cooked the most delicious food – came home a few pounds too heavy but it was worth it! Everything was just wonderful, a magical property where we all made great memories! Thank you!

Our stay was incredible it was better than I ever imagined it could have been! Staff were incredible! Food was simply out of this world and the memories created simply priceless! Thank you so much for an unbelievable experience for me and my whole family. We will truly never forget this one. 19 of stayed at Golden Clouds, a truly spectacular villa that felt as though we were living in a dreamworld for the week! The moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming! Chef is an unbelievable talent and I will definitely miss her cooking.

My experience at Golden Clouds Villa Estate was nothing less than amazing! Upon entering the beautiful property and exiting the vehicle, the staff welcomed our group (14) with open arms, and paradise was defined. My room was spacious, clean, refreshing, with a warm inviting feeling and beautiful views of the deep blue sea. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious and cooked with love. We held conversations during and after each meal regarding how succulent the dishes were, and how we would try to mimic the taste once we returned home. From the chef, to housekeeping, to the groundskeeper, to the villa's lifeguard, to the pool tech, to the property's manager, and everyone in between, made us feel at home, like family. I would like to provide a special recognition to David, the bartender. During our one-week stay at Golden Clouds Villa, David put on many hats to ensure our vacation was worry-free and filled with great experiences. From mixing tasty beverages, to providing knowledge regarding Jamaica's culture, to staying up late until the last person went to their room, David was always there and available to assist us however we needed him. He defines what it looks like to work hard, while providing excellent customer service. David, thank you for your patience and willingness to ensure our time spent was memorable and enjoyable...Hats off to you for the many hats you wear. When visiting Jamaica, Golden Clouds Villa Estate will be my home away from home!

My stay at Golden Clouds Villa was phenomenal, the website doesn't do it justice. The staff services were superior (detail oriented), from Chef to housekeeping (Ken, Ziggy, David, etc.). Our butler David went above and beyond; his interpersonal skills are unmatched...he's definitely the best part of the villa. I would definitely recommend this to others.
