Hotel Emblemático la Casa de Los Naranjos

This small, boutique hotels is a hidden gem. Far from crowded southern Lanzarote tourist locations - in a small, quiet town of Haria. Located in an old house that was renovated, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. A la carte breakfast with a great choice of breakfast toasts and sandwiches, sweets, yogurt and fresh orange juice. Try dinner served on site - the dishes are big and very delicious. Please note that this is not a resort hence no swimming pool or other big hotel's facilities. There is a free parking on the street and on-site. If there is anything I would change that would be adding two or three sun umbrellas on the roof terrace with some lounge chairs.

Had a wonderful stay. We arrived on a Sunday after making a last minute tie booking and were welcomed by the owner Jose. We booked a romantic room and were kindly upgraded to the terrace room which gave us access to the terrace on the first floor, where we enjoyed a couple of beers before heading out for an evening meal. Being a Sunday it was fairly quiet in the town but we managed to find a couple of restaurants and a bar in what is probably the town square/centre. They close at 10pm, local shop at 8pm. Only a 4-5 minute walk from the hotel. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel but breakfast was lovely with fresh fruits, yogurts and eggs, bacon and toast provided. A very lovely stay for a couple but also a group of 6 with children staying. Highly recommend.

After all the rave reviews we were expecting somewhere really special. The hotel is an old house that has been converted to a so called “luxury boutique hotel” with 4 stars. Somewhere along the way they must have run out of money to invest. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. However in our room (4) there was no storage space, so we had to keep most of our clothes in cases on the floor. Most of the furniture is old and what is termed “distressed”. We only had one chair and table in our room, so if we wanted to relax, we had to lie on the bed.There is no garden to sit outside, just a very small internal patio with uncomfortable chairs. The roof terrace has just two very old tables and chairs available. It seems to be designed to discourage anyone from going there, which is a pity as it would be a great place to relax with decent furniture. The car park is an absolute disgrace, surrounded by derelict buildings. On the other hand breakfast (25 euros each) was excellent. Fresh fruit, yogurt and a wide range of freshly cooked dishes were available. We did not eat in the restaurant as it was closed for the first two days we stayed. The staff were all extremely friendly.
