PPengguna TetamuWe frequently stayed at what is now called the ”Developer Inn” on 192 in Kissimmee when it was still a ”Days Inn by Wyndham” a few years ago. Back then it was not a fancy hotel, but it was clean and well run, and the staff was friendly and forthcoming. Booking, cancelling, checking in were an easy process, and breakfast was decent. Unfortunately, the place became ”run-down” during the Pandemic, and due to the - sorry to say - shady people living there - it was no longer desirable for us to stay there. In the end it was filthy, and it was sad to see it in this way. When we heard the motel had been bought by a different group and renovated, we booked a one-night stay to try it out, and the only way to describe that stay is to say it was horrible. By the time of check-in there were another couple and a woman waiting, but no staff in sight. I went out and looked and everybody I encountered spoke Spanish only. Five people waited for a manager to show up and finally we were able to check in. The rooms were renovated, but barely, some new paint, some cheap furniture, barely over painted holes in the walls, no USB outlets, scarce power outlets; the few there are, we had to look for and found them behind the bed. The bed is a disgrace, the mattress does not deserve the name, it's just a floppy thing on the bed, and no matter the build of the person, you sink in. The bathroom still seems to have the old tub and the water fixture in the sink was loose and rattling. There is only one metal chair, which even more gives the impression that this is a prison cell and not a hotel room. All we got was soap and conditioner, no body wash, and no shampoo. We checked out breakfast, but the room was so small, and it was so crowded that we just surveyed the sorry array of dry bagels and toast, and the coffee can only be called a disgusting brown fluid. We had, full of enthusiasm, booked another stay when we booked the first one. Of course, after that first experience, we said, ”never again” and tried to cancel. Not that easy - the person answering the phone was unable to accept a cancellation. Only the manager could, and so we called again the next day. Same thing. It took four (4) days to reach the manager and he was less than polite. They do NOT confirm cancellations, it's only verbal, the manager makes note of it and that's it and it's not acceptable. We are very disappointed in what that place has become, and the way guests are treated is despicable.
