Masseria Cervarolo

Everything about the Masseria is wonderful. The setting is stunning and peaceful, enhanced by beautiful and interesting items that decorate the masseria. A perfect base to explore the region. The staff are exceptional, very friendly and helpful full of advice on local places to visit. My husband loved The chefs tasting menu, I have allergies which were accommodated and my food was also delicious. The pool is a real highlight, surrounded by the pretty gardens with a great little bar serving light lunches. The attention to detail is outstanding, pots of plants, art work and ceramics all so beautifully placed throughout the property. Our room on the first floor had amazing views we a very large terrace. I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful Masseria we were sad to leave!

In normal hotels around the world when you arrive from a very long trip you get welcomed by drinks and hosts usually ask how the trip was. Here the first thing we heard was “if you see the dogs please don’t touch them because they are old”. The masseria is beautiful, we wished we stayed in the traditional room on the ground floor, instead we were given a room upstairs. The stairs were very steep and not suitable for our family with kids of 4 and 2 years old. We asked if there was a possibility to change to a different room but it wasn’t possible. I would expect a more accommodating service for families with kids. The swimming pool are is nice and vast. The staff at the swimming pool was very kind and attentive. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Would be nice having the possibility to eat breakfast outside as well. Overall, I believe that Italian guests are often less respected and nurtured than foreign guests.

We wanted to experience staying at a Masseria during our 14 night trip around Puglia and chose Masseria Cervarolo based on the great reviews. The Masseria and the grounds are beautiful and the staff were lovely and very helpful. The pool is huge with plenty of loungers but unfortunately we didn't haven't the weather to be able to use it. We had dinner at the Masseria on our first evening which was a tasting menu along with the wine pairing and the food and wine were excellent. We would of eaten at the Masseria again during our stay but we wanted to try some other restaurants in nearby towns. Given how amazing dinner was we were expecting a great breakfast but we were a little disappointed, it wasn't anywhere near as good as other breakfasts we had during our trip, there was the usual meats and cheeses and cakes and cereals but there wasn't a great selection of fresh fruits and given they have such a large kitchen we were surprised and disappointed that you couldn't order any eggs. I find meat and cheese too heavy for breakfast and don't really eat cake for breakfast so I always ended up with just a bowl of cereal. The Masseria is about a 15 min drive from Ostuni so you really do need a hire car in my opinion. We were going to get a taxi to Ostuni one evening but ended up driving as the taxis were expensive, EUR50 round trip. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again, it is a great location for visiting nearby towns such as Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello etc.

The only Masseria I recommend to people in Puglia. A beautifully restored Hotel with an Authentic style surrounded by lush grounds and pool in the heart of Puglia. All the staff are incredibly friendly and always attentive making the overall experience always a relaxing stay while the restaurant serves authentic Apulian cuisine thats very delicious. The attention to every detail of Masseria Cervarolo always shows its run by a loving family who care so much for each and every guest. Cant wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Masseria Cervalo. Service at reception and in the restaurant was outstanding. We stayed in the quad room and found it spacious and unique. Great massages as well. We look forward to returning when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the pool facilities.

Beautiful Masseria, rooms and grounds were well maintained. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to utilise the pool. The food was wonderful, we really enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. The Manager at the restaurant was particularly warm and a wonderful host.
