Masseria Santo Scalone

No matter how great I describe the Masseria, it will not do it justice! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and give you a feeling of being at home. And it was all so incredibly clean and tidy. The Masseria itself is incredibly beautiful and has a lot to offer with its pool, restaurant and surrounding areas. We can only imagine how much better it would have been to stay there during the summer season! The restaurant offers delicious food that tastes of Italy. The breakfast is abundant with a rich variety and plenty of options for everyone. But the best part is the people of the Masseria - the entire team working there is so friendly, warm and incredible. They welcome you with open arms and open hearts and would do all they can to make your stay even better. By the time you leave, you will feel them like family. We have not really experienced that leaving other accommodations, but my wife and I were actually quite sad to be leaving this place.

My wife and I had four wonderful nights at Masseria Santa Scalone. Beautifully restored and perfectly situated to visit Ostuni and the surrounding area. Special mention must go to all the team at reception who made our stay incredibly easy and enjoyable. No request was too difficult.

This is a special attraction. We were based here and visited a few of the attractions close by. The rooms and amenities are fabulous. Food is exceptional. Service and help is great and people are friendly

We (3 couples) had the most amazing stay at Masseria Santo Scalone in September 23. The best thing is that the property feels so private and like our own home, yet the location is excellent, being a short car drive to Ostuni and surrounds. Unfortunately, we only stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed for longer. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and so at ease. After settling into our beautiful rooms, we gathered in the gorgeous courtyard for some welcome refreshments. The property is absolutely stunning. One could sense the history even if everything has been brought into the modern world with all the comforts. The breakfast room is delightful, and the morning food buffet was so delicious. We also dined in the restaurant on our last night and the food was just sensational. Nothing was too much trouble for the team that looked after us. Can't wait to return and am seriously looking at booking the venue in its entirety to celebrate my significant birthday in two years' time. Thank you so much Masseria Santo Scalone. Stayed 5 blissful days and nights with our 2 adult daughters. Everything was superb. We’re all keen to go again. Had delicious dinners there 4 nights which meant we could avoid driving at night. Friendly thoughtful staff. Tranquil oasis not far from beaches and Ostuni. Walked through the fields, past the fruit trees, horses and vegetable garden. Wish we’d stayed a few more days.

The Masseria was exceptional! The rooms were large and very comfrtable beds, some of the best in Italy. Room had great AC, we had a terrace on the rear and the front. We had our 2 Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs with us and the staff was so kind. They ensured we had fresh water and that the dogs were as happy as us. The owner gave us a tour of the future design and new upcoming spa. We spent 2 weeks in Puglia and this was our favorite location. I highly recommend.

Lovely place. Rooms were lovely. Staff were friendly. Food in the restaurant was very good. But for yapping, undisciplined dogs wandering through the indoor eating areas managed by stupid, ignorant guests, it would have been a 5 star experience. There is a balance between catering for guests with pets and being considerate of all guests staying at the property. High pitched, constant barking while eating is unpleasant.

The grounds are lovely and it seems they will only get better with time as there was a lot of activity on the surrounding land. The place is beautifully decorated.

We came just for a dinner - and regrettet not having stayed at the Masseria with its beautiful gardens around the guest rooms and appartements. Dinner was fantastic in regard to the local ingredients, its presentation and tastes, and so was the service. A beautiful experience!
