Masseria Donna Nina

We only stayed one night but would loved to have stayed another night. The room was lovely clean and tidy. There is plenty of grounds you can sit at with various seats scattered around. There is a lovely swimming pool with a glass roof with sun beds to sit around. Water was lovely temperature. Angela our host could not do enough for us. He is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included which had several homemade cakes. There was a variety of food to choose from. Angelo suggested stopping at a town called Cisternino on way to our next destination. It did not disappoint it was really pretty cobbled lanes with various shops and restaurants. We ate at Bestoke which was very nice - only a few tables.

Angelo was a great host, could not have been more helpful. The Masseria is a great escape. Away from the busyness of town but still easily accessible. Rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was included and the freshly baked cakes were a special treat. Highly recommend.

I stayed with a friend in a triple room - a double in one room and single in adjacent room. The place was dreamy. Historic genuine feel. Spotless, great breakfast, large clean pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. About 5 km from Ostuni, can’t walk as the road has no path. So need a car or to taxi in and out which Angelo will happily organise for you but adds up.

Masseria Donna Nina is absolutely beautiful and Angelo was a wonderful host! He was very communicative and beyond sweet and attentive to our needs. He kept telling us that the Masseria was ours and we could pick whatever fruits we wanted throughout the property to eat. He served a delicious breakfast and each morning he provided a tour of the different selections of homemade cakes and fresh yogurt produced from a neighboring Masseria (the most delicious!) and fruits picked from his grounds. The day before we arrived, I had requested a massage—while the usual therapist wasn’t free, he arranged for a massage set up in my room with an alternative therapist which was wonderful. Our room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, and the pool was refreshing! I feel sad to give the masseria 4 stars but am doing so because while it was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay, we didn’t think the quality was up to the level of the price per night, even at peak season compared to the other stays we had in the area during our 10 day trip in Puglia. For instance, they charge 5 euros for pool towels, which is fine but it just seems odd to charge extra at that price point. Also the bathrooms were small with few amenities and the wifi was poor in the rooms (albeit probably due to the historic stone buildings!). I think if some of these things could be upgraded to meet the price then it would be 5 stars in my opinion! FYI, there is no restaurant on the property so you have to drive into Ostuni for dinner which is only a 10 minute drive but can get really crowded in August. Overall, we really appreciated Angelo and had a wonderful stay but think it was just slightly overpriced at this time.

The Masseria is beautiful, secluded and relaxing. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast of homemade cakes, among other things, was delicious. There is a big heated swimming pool and terrace areas to relax and have a drink. Angelo went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. He was always available to organise trips to Ostuni or offer recommendations. It is about 10 minutes drive from Ostuni so easy to drive or Angelo can arrange taxis if you need. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a special and relaxing break

The masseria was really well kept and spotlessly clean. The setting is fantastic and a really short drive to the centre of Ostuni. Breakfast was lovely and included several choices of freshly baked homemade cakes to add to the normal selection. The host Angelo was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. He made our stay truly memorable with his help with restaurant bookings, sightseeing suggestions and his attention to detail throughout our visit. A really wonderful place which is incredibly well managed. Highly recommend.
