Have no hesitation in staying here whilst visiting Oviedo. Modern building with fantastic staff who are very proud of their city, they are extremely helpful in advising god places to visit, eat and drink so that you can fully appreciate this lovely city. Comfortable bedroom , good reception areas and underground car parking. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Excelente estadía en el hotel. A dos cuadras de la estación de autobús, también a pocas cuadras de la zona céntrica para pasear o tomar algo. La habitación súper limpia y el recepcionista muy amable y simpático.

A fabulous building left from the hand of God by the town hall. You will enjoy excellent rooms, views (if there is no fog) good - depending on the room-. I understand that the location is not central, but Oviedo is not a big city, and in a short time you are anywhere, on foot. What is a pity is that the building has not been turned into a tourist destination (France or Italy would put it in the guides), leaving it to wither in isolation. We already know that Calatrava does not finish a work without anger, and the promise that the cover would move was not fulfilled. But the building is spectacular. The downside, without a restaurant in a hotel of such category, forces you to make plans away from it. People, room, cleanliness. Good Elevators should improve, bootlenecks occur. Place, not centered, but you can walk to the downtown in 10'

We booked this hotel due to its location not far from Real Oviedo football ground. We visited Oviedo for my son’s birthday and to go to football match. Room was triple deluxe room which was large enough for the 3 of us. Bathroom was large and more than adequate. Shower very powerful. Toiletries included, including toothpaste and toothbrushes. Beds were comfortable and wardrobe large enough for what we needed. Cafe in the hotel was nice and very reasonably priced. Staff in cafe and on reception were lovely Downside - air conditioning did not work in room and when I spoke to reception they said that it had been turned on - it seems that this is centrally controlled and even though we turned room temperature down to 16 and turned fan high, we could not get the air conditioning to work which meant the room was far too hot and I slept approx 8 hours over 3 nights due to the heat. Another issue was we were shocked to discover there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room - we have never been to a hotel that did not provide tea and coffee and we found this a huge let down

The hotel is quite adequate, that is, if you are there for sightseeing. No frills, the basics and it works nicely. But, well, the evening staff at the bar/restaurant (2, 20 somethings--males) have some major educating on restaurant service. The first night our bill was missing the wine on our bill---and as a former manager, I immediately brought this to his attention. He and his coworker thought this to be quite funny---not knowing enough Spanish, I didn't quite know what they were saying to each other, but he re-did the receipt to include them. The second night my husband and brother-in-laws meals were not included on the receipt. Also, at one point we wanted to order more drinks, and our table cleared, and waited and waited and waited, finally from where we were sitting, I stood up only to see the two coworkers fully engrossed in a fashion website on the computer! Got his attention after quite a bit---he brought the drinks but our table (both nights) never got cleared before we left. We were pleasant and smiled through both nights thinking it might make a difference, sadly not. We observed others there and their treatment was also the same. I wouldn't want him and his coworker to lose their jobs, but, some MAJOR training in customer service needs to be done. If it wasn't for the restaurant snafu, We would have given this place a solid 4 stars. But, because of the restaurant service issues ONLY, we will only give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

PPengguna TetamuStay here for 2 nights The hostel is located in the heart of the historic centre Oviedo, just one street away from the bustling Plaza de la Constitución and City Hall of Oviedo. The hostel is about 15 minutes walk from the main bus and train station in the city and pretty easy to find once I find my way to the city hall. Check-in was really straightforward as the hostel asked me to check in online and all reception needed was my passport to confirm my identity. I was shown all around the hostel, including the kitchen, common area and of course the dorm. The dorm was a four bed dorm with 2 bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The shower and toilets worked well. The bunks were the wooden frame variety, although it was pretty sturdy. Even though my bunkmate was a bit of a night owl, I still got 2 nights of good sleep. The mattress was some kind of thick foam and really comfortable. The covers were thick and I had asked for an extra blanket. Even though it was cold, it still felt warm and cosy under the blankets. Breakfast was provided and mainly consisted of cereals, toasts and spreads, tea and coffee. Nothing fancy, but good for the price of the stay. The kitchen and plenty of utensils as well as cooking equipment, and could be used by guests for cooking too. The hostel is also situated on two floors, with the upper floor also containing rooms, a kitchen and a terrace. It was too cold to use at this time of the year, but I did wander up and it has a lovely view of the city hall. The hostel, room and bathroom were kept clean throughout my stay. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. They have lots of information for things to do and see in Oviedo and the surrounding area. I would have no hesitation staying at Green Hostel again.

PPengguna TetamuUbicación ideal para conocer Oviedo, muy céntrico, hasta la catedral dos minutos andando y la calle Gascona está muy cerca también. El Hotel estupendo, la cama y almohadas muy cómodas y una tele de buen tamaño. Todo muy limpio. Para aparcar hay varios parking cerca, el hotel tiene convenio con uno de ellos para que salga algo más barato.

El personal, tanto de recepción de día como de la cafetería a la hora de los desayunos, competente, atento, afable y eficiente. Buen conocedor de su cometido. PPengguna TetamuEl Hotel Retiro de Cardea está muy cerca del centro de Oviedo en un lugar tranquilo donde es relativamente fácil aparcar. Hay desayuno buffet por 6 euros y también puedes desayunar un café y tostadas/croissant a la plancha por 3 euros. Cerca hay un lidl y bares y restaurantes. El precio es muy bueno (por lo menos en temporada baja). En la sexta planta había bastante ruido, procedente de una sala de máquinas cercano, pedí que si me pudiera cambiar a una habitación más baja y me dijeron que ”ese ruido fuera posible que también estuviera en las demás plantas, que de normal nadie se queja de ello y que si me cambiaba sería mañana”, así que dada la escasa predisposición y empatia que tuvo este trabajador para cambiarme de habitación (en temporada baja creo que hubiese sido sencillo...) opté por dormir con tapones el resto de los días.

Las chicas de recepción maravillosas, tuvimos 1 problemilla con la primera habitación que nos dieron y Adriana sin perder ese carácter tan dulce que tiene nos dio solución rápidamente. Desayuno bueno y bastante completo. En contra solo diría que le falta algo de mantenimiento, pero seguramente volveremos a alojarnos en él cuando volvamos a Oviedo
