"The inn is located in “Kogen”, the first village along the Kumano Kodo Nakaheji route, starting from Takijiri Oji.
The inn offers two plans: a “private house rental plan” that emphasizes privacy, and a “room rental plan” exclusively for trekking.

Room Rental Plan
・You can reserve a room for 1 to 4 persons only and share the common area with other guests.

酒店就在古道邊，從山裡出來就能看到，很方便. 自助Check- in也還絲滑，衹要仔細閲讀操作説明. 進房間時，早餐晚餐已在房間內，晚餐是餐盒🍱裝的，食物品種還蠻多的，就是有些涼了，早餐是4種麪包+咖啡，小冰箱內的飲料可以免費喝👍🏻有洗衣機和烘乾機很方便，把爬山濕透的衣服都洗了.

十一放假一個人去徒步，計劃五天全踏破，第一天想把比較難的前幾個章蓋掉。所以住到高原是非常合適的。千算萬算沒想到在國內的颱風餘波會影響到紀伊半島，所以我開始的當天就開始下起了大雨。
頂着雨走重裝完了第一天，因為攜程上這家店的訊息過於陳舊，當時還是有點緊張會不會太日本化的，結果晚餐是非常個人胃口的，老闆也會簡單的中文，完全是個社牛，帶着大家一起吃晚餐，一起聊天。
房間稍微有些年代感，但有烘乾衣服的設施以及澡堂！真的淋了一天雨，泡個澡衣服也烘乾了，真的太舒服。
也因為前一天的雨，第二天房間外全是雲海，真的很值得！希望以後還有機會來這裏徒步，一定要繼續住在這裏一次。

A great place if you’re open to cooking some food yourself. Yes, the dinner options are basically non-existent, but that really doesn’t matter if you’re open minded and willing to do something yourself. My partner and I walked for 8 hours and were exhausted when we arrived, but we still decided to get some food from the shop across the road (very nearby!!) and cook. It ended up being a lovely way to end the day which also surprised us. We sat atop our container-home and looked to the mountains as we ate our food.
The room has everything you need other than knives and maybe more options for plates, but it’s doable. Everything is compact but that’s part of the charm, and it’s really quite incredible how they organise the entire room.
The only issues we encountered were the lack of knives (only one chef’s knife, no normal knives for spreading butter etc), and the plates, but no other issues.
The lack of staff to talk to face to face can be a bit of a shock to people, but it’s all about your own attitude to trying it out, as this isn’t a hotel where you can get anything you want just by asking. You can ask, but it’s all done via a couple of iPads. Just be prepared and keep an open mind. If you do that, this might be one of the most comfortable and personal stays you’ll have.

離車站非常近，隔天要走熊野古道非常方便。只是旅館年代久遠，雖有整理過，但外觀比不上新式酒店。但我還是喜歡這個位置，如果到紀伊田邊會在選擇。

🏨乾淨整潔 相對比較寬敞 門口的小柴也很可愛。酒店服務很好 效率很高。🥾走熊野古道需要蓋章手帳📒的主動詢問即可 免費版本和100日元版本均有，需要寄送🧳行李的話也可以幫忙預約 當天寄出當日可達 郵寄到本宮地區（湯之峯温泉）4500日元 衹接受現金付款。JR站的711也可寄送會更便宜 但需要提前一日寄出。缺點是沒有公共浴場 不過作為起點還沒有那麼疲憊 沒有也不太影響，其次是直線距離車站雖然很近但實際走去JR站還是稍微有些繞。

酒店就位於田邊站出口一百米左右，很好找。酒店前台屬於自助前台，兩點半左右會到崗服務，平時沒有人。我去的比較早。因此就將行李放在儲存櫃就出去了。房間很日本很小，但還算乾淨整潔，無異味。

設施：房子是比較舊的日式風格，跟電視劇裏那種一樣，位置也好找，該有的設施也有，但是房間的隔音效果不好，樓上樓下和隔壁一點點響動都聽得到，説話也是！
衞生：衞生還可以，不過有潔癖的朋友不推薦
環境：旁邊是公路和鐵路，會比較吵
服務：老奶奶服務態度特別好，教怎麼用空調遙控器，告訴衞生間位置，廚房位置，微波爐怎麼用呀，等等！

Large room with a great view of sea, clean and cozy.
I was arriving late which passed the check-in hours due to flight delay. My sim card cannot make phone calls in Japan and I was afraid of not being able to check in. Fortunately, the front-desk gentleman was waited for us until midnight and helped us check in. And he guided us to find the vending machine to find the food even not speaking English. It’s a very positive experience to live here.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel was good overall, and the staff were the highlight in general. We only encountered one issue which was when we called reception in the early evening and the guy on the phone panicked due to a lack of English and hung up. The staff we met on reception in the day were fantastic.
Additionally, the outdoor mixed Onsen is a nice feature, as it allowed for my wife and I to relax by the river together rather than being separated.

PPengguna Tetamu到酒店之前，發現熊野本宮地區交通十分不方便，給酒店發郵件，都在半天之內能夠回覆，還給交通建議，並且告知可以開車到ukegawa站去接我們，使我們至少節省了45分鐘路程。到了酒店英文介紹的非常全面，並且第二天還可以派車送我們去公交站，因為最近的公交站不太適合我們出行時間。酒店提供了詳細的公交時間表和發心門王子徒步到本宮的地圖。餐食和温泉典型日式，都很滿意。走後孩子的毛絨玩具落在酒店了，酒店聯繫我們會給我們寄到下一個酒店。真的非常好的服務，十分推薦。温泉有兩個私湯池子，公共大浴室也很大，也有室外湯池。

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is perfect for a relaxing one day stay. It’s right beside a sapphire-blue river in the middle of the mountains. The in-room onsen is more than big enough for two people and they also have communal baths. They also offer a free shuttle to the start of a stretch of the Kumano Kodo if you want to hike the next day.

SShiTonyIt was 3rd day when my wife and I are hiking KUMANO KODO. After 6 and half hour hiking and 20 minutes bus, we arrived at Watarase Onsen Hotel Sasayuri around 5pm. At checking counter, we found that I booked wrong day - one day late….. However service person rearranged room and dinner for us within less than half hour. Their traditional Japanese service and food are amazing and forgettable. I will be for sure coming back when I revisit this area.

包餐餐食口味不錯，但不能外帶飲料，連無糖可樂都不行。印象最深的是自助日式早餐，種類豐富，美味可口，吃了好多。
酒店設施相對來説有了一定歲月感，但是保養得當，功能正常，趕緊整潔。

PPengguna TetamuKind of annex of the sister hotel next door. In the annex is an onsen, washing machine and dryer (free to use), vending machines with beer and drinks and noodles. Room is basic. I had a great view on the river. Small balcony, but dirty and no chair. The annex is okay to stay if you are hiking.
The best thing is the sister hotel. A great onsen with outdoor bath. Nice souvenir shop with a bit more food. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
They also provide bus services (bring and pickup to Hongu Taisha, the other onsen places, the trailhead busstop) which you can use! Just call them if you want to be picked up.
I did not realize Kawayu Onsen is a very small place with NO supermarket. If you did not book breakfast (served at the sister) bring your own into town or eat instant noodles.
There are 2 small restaurants with delicious local food.
