Hotel Pak Beng dengan Sarapan

What an amazing hotel to stay in after the first day of our Mekong river cruise! Our bungalow had floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and shower with the most stunning views of the river - the sunset which was just as we arrived was breathtaking! The room was lovely with toiletries, robes and tea and coffee making facilities. We had our own private veranda overlooking the river and the staff brought our pre-dinner drinks to us so we could sip them whilst enjoying the view. The owner was ever present and addressed every guest by name (no mean feat with so many guests). The only let down was that the food was just ok, my croissant at breakfast wasn’t thoroughly cooked, but that is a minor thing. I would 100% recommend!

Super endroit extrêmement reposant en ce mois d'avril. Étant en dehors de la saison touristique et en période extrêmement chaude nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, extra en bord de Mékong. Ce n'est finalement pas très loin de la rue principale de Pakbeng. Nous avons même pu voir les éléphants se baigner en face. Si vous séjournez assez longtemps, allez passer un temps au Mekong Éléphant Park, c'est un magnifique projet.

This was be far the best hotel we stayed in Laos. The room was dreamy and like being in a film. Romantic, incredible views of the Mekong and a mind blowing sunset. It’s not luxurious but rather shabby chic. The only slight disappointment was the quality of the food but the rest of the hotel experience more than made up for this.
