Piazza Marina

We had difficulty finding the apartment, even though we were guided by the What’s Apt map on my mobile phone, as there was no apparent clear signage, so after making a quick call to the contact on What’s Apt, we were directed to an entrance to a supermarket and to the left was a large brown door, that was opened for us to enter. Our apartment was on the first floor behind another secure door with 2 other apartments. The room overlooked what appeared to be a building site and directly above the entrance to the supermarket, which was not idea and quite loud at times, especially in the mornings when the supermarket were receiving deliveries. The room was quite large, clean and tidy and had a bed, wardrobe, TV, kettle and fridge area. The bathroom/‘toilet was located outside and near to our room, which no one else shared that we were aware of when we made the booking . The bed was quite comfortable, but the bedframe was too big for the mattress, so you had to watch where you were walking around the bed to avoid walking into the bedframe. It was very quit at night. Breakfast was not an option in which we were aware of prior to the booking. Excellent location.

The service is very friendly but what troubled me was that there were no information about what time the breakfast would be and the guy who manage the B&B didn´t answer my message regarding it until in the morning when the breakfast was ready to be served. Quality of the breakfast was good Italian standard + bruchetta or likewise 2 of 3 mornings. Location is good with 15 minutes to Palermo Centrale.

The hotel is in the center of the old city, 1 minute's walk from the sea and just next to a supermarket. The rooms are really sweet and nice, full of light, clean and comfortable. Luca is REALLY nice, and considerate. Since I'm vegan, he made me a special breakfast which was super tasty and generous. There is only one thing - at 7:30 the church's bells are ringing really strong. But if you don't mind this alarm, it's the perfect place :-)

Piazza Marina was an excellent choice - quiet, convenient, stylish and spotless - for our first time in Palermo.

L'esperienza al B&B Piazza Marina è di quelle che in poco tempo si sono trasformate da sogno a incubo. Da palermitano con un'ospite a seguito, prenoto in questo bel B&B due notti, specificando che avrei avuto bisogno del pass ZTL, servizio pubblicizzato sul sito. Mi affretto a comunicare via Whatsapp la targa all'operatore che, gentilissimo, prende nota e mi assicura che provvederà a comunicare la targa. Tutto ok, mi godo il weekend nel palermitano, accedendo in auto all'interno della ZTL in tutti e 3 i giorni del mio soggiorno. Mi accerto telefonicamente dell'attivazione - appunto in tutte e 3 le giornate - del pass ZTL (un pass dal costo di 5€...) e mi viene detto di "stare tranquillo", perchè è "tutto a posto". Ok. Ma, dopo 3 mesi... BAM ! Mi vengono notificate ben 2 sanzioni per accesso non autorizzato alla ZTL, per un totale di ben 142€! Chiedo, quindi, spiegazioni al canale Whatsapp del B&B e... mi viene candidamente confermato che loro hanno inserito la richiesta solo per il primo giorno, non per quelli seguenti. Vi rendete conto ? Nonostante la mia richiesta e la prenotazione per 2 notti, loro si sono limitati a pagare il pass solo per il primo giorno e, per di più, rassicurandomi sul fatto che per i giorni successivi avrebbero fatto la comunicazione. Incredibile. Per 5€ di pass giornaliero. Evito di raccontarvi la gestione della mia richiesta di aver riconosciuto l'ammontare delle sanzioni... mi hanno anche accusato di volergli "estorcere del denaro"... Insomma... ennesimo esempio di "improvvisazione" da parte di dilettanti. C'è di meglio in giro a Palermo, andateci se proprio non trovate nulla di disponibile.

Un posto per ritornare è consigliare da vero. Tutto, la situazione, la càmera da letto, il bagno, è, sopratutto, l'atenzione personale a stato magnífica. È non mancare la colazione. Mima's delights are unique!!!

Ottima struttura in posizione strategica. Poche camere, tranquille ed arredate con buon gusto. Ottima colazione, con prodotti di pasticceria sempre variabili. Simpatica disponibilita' dello staff. Buone strutture di ristorazione nelle vicinanze.

Questo B&B situato proprio su piazza marina, quindi molto comoda per raggiungere la Cala o il centro città. Il B&B è una piccola isola di pace lontano dal chiasso della piazza e dei ristoranti. Siamo stati nella camera numero 3, e ahimè solo per 1 giorno! molto spaziosa luminosa e soprattutto perfettamente pulita!! Il proprietario è una persona speciale e molto disponibile e sa come far dormire bene i suoi ospiti, perché trovare un letto così comodo non è facile!! Lo consiglio a tutti
