Hotel berhampiran Patrimonio Nacional, Palma De Mallorca

The Valparaiso Palace is a charming hotel with delightful staff who are friendly attentive and helpful. Whether greeting you on your arrival, down in the lower pool area or up in the restaurant and bar area, all are equally welcoming and ready to help with whatever you would like. As with other guests I spoke to, this was a return visit for us and we enjoyed the gardens and pools in particular when our family joined us. We had several spa treatments and they were first class.

We were excited to stay at Belle Marivent while we were in Majorca for a wedding but sadly - overall - we were left disappointed. Firstly, the positives - the reception area is gorgeous, and almost lulls you into a false sense of security. Smells lovely and looks lovely and actually Lucia on reception was really great. The rooftop pool is also great, albeit extremely small with barely anywhere to sunbathe. The hotel itself just gives the overall feel it is very understaffed and is doing anything it can to save money. The rooms are crammed into an extremely tiny area - your sink is practically at your bedside, there is no bathroom per se but just tiny rooms of a shower and a toilet. Breakfast is really awful. All three mornings they had 'run out of yoghurt because it went off'. With a supermarket down the road, they could have easily replaced this. There was only one waiter in the room on each morning. This meant the (extremely limited) buffet frequently ran out, and was not replaced unless you got up and walked to the kitchen/bar area to ask the waiter/waitress to replace it. The jugs of water were empty for around 15 minutes which was really frustrating. When ordering a hot breakfast prepare to wait 20 minutes for it to come, even if there is literally no one else in the restaurant. Another shocking moment was when I called reception and asked for a small jug of fresh milk to have with my self made coffee from the coffee machine in our room, as I really dislike the tiny long-life milk pods. I was told sorry there is no fresh milk. I asked whether I could just be brought some from the kitchen - to be told that the restaurant is not in fact connected to the hotel at all. Just found this baffling, as I've never ever been refused some fresh milk at a hotel before. The coffee cups in our room were also dusty and unclean. Lastly, while the man on reception and Lucia were great, the cleaning staff were extremely rude. We were getting ready for a wedding that started at 2pm so naturally we were showering/getting ready at 11am. The cleaners repeatedly banged on our doors insisting they needed to come in. When we said we needed another 20 mins or so, we were met with eye rolls and sighs. I understand it must be frustrating as they have a schedule, but it is also a very small hotel. All in all, I would say the Belle Marivent is absolutely not worth the price we paid. A few glimmers of greatness but overall a disappointment.

Very good all round hotel. All areas clean & tidy, good selection of food available at breakfast & dinner. Lunches available in bar area & outside pool seating area, reasonable selection of food choices. Wide selection of wines available. Room was very clean & tidy and cleaned daily, nice balcony overlooking sea & pool area. Entertainment on 3 of the nights we stayed and was of a good standard. Good location only a short walk into C'an pastilla, bus stop right outside hotel with regular very cheap service to either Palma or Arenal Would recommend.

We stayed as a couple for 4 nights tail end of Sept into October and were really impressed with the hotel and staff. At this time of the year it was not particularly busy but enough people there to provide some atmosphere. Best aspects: Roof top bar was amazing but was only open once across our stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Facilities and decor was very nice and rooms (we were in a standard) were quite spacious with plenty of storage and good views over the pool area. Breakfast was lovely and good quality with all the typical things you would expect and was rotated so they kept having new things each morning. We ate in the bar restaurant and it was reasonably priced and the food was lovely. The location was excellent being just a 5 minute walk to the harbour with loads of restaurants and a 3 minute walk to the bus stop which was great as we used this everyday to go to Palma, Palmanova and Santa Ponca (hop on hop off by swiping your bank card). Plenty of sunbeds and seating around the pool and bar. The cleaning of the rooms were excellent - always spotless and the floor never got sticky or dusty as you find in other places. Areas I think they could improve on would be if the roof top bar was open more often, we found the prices of drinks to not be that much different from outside the hotel which usually I find if they want people to stay longer and drink at the hotel in other places I have been they are priced a few euros cheaper than outside. More towel hangers in the bathroom away from the toilet - sounds random but trust me on this. Overall, it was a great stay and we really enjoyed our time there and would recommend! Also it was adults only so it was a great place to relax. My compliments to the staff who make it this way too!

I’ve just returned from a five night solo trip at this hotel. The hotel was lovely, so modern but with really lovely touches. I arrived fairly late after a flight delay, there was an issue with my payment but Pablo was patient and understanding and I really appreciated that after a long day! All the staff I dealt with were polite and kind. Bus links to Palma and airport are very close by and reasonably priced. The beach is also very close along with many shops and restaurants. The pool area was great, plenty of sun beds and shades for everyone and a really chilled out vibe. The brunch offer was perfect, I was able to have breakfast and then pop back for something small over lunch. The room was also lovely, I stayed in a superior single room on the first floor. Often single rooms appear cramped but this was just perfect and the lovely big balcony overlooking the pool was a real treat. I would most definitely recommend the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Wir sind mit neun Personen ( alle keine Teenager mehr ! )angereist und wollten ins „Epizentrum“. Doch beim einchecken mussten wir pro Person erstmal 100€ Kaution entrichten. ( Diese wurde bei Abreise zwar erstattet aber erst nach strenger Kontrolle der Zimmer ) Des Weiteren haben wir bei der Buchung bereits die Taxe bezahlt aber das interessierte vor Ort niemanden. Also nochmal Cash zahlen. Angeblich war eine Bezahlung der Zimmer mit Bargeld und Karte nicht möglich. Nach Diskussionen mit dem Concierge ( der sprach leider nur Spanisch und kaum Englisch ) ging es dann irgendwann doch 😡 Frühstück und Abendessen hatten maximal 3Sterne Standard. Die Zimmer zum Bierkönig waren schon sehr laut. Gegen 4:30 Uhr wurde es dann etwas erträglicher. Zimmer sind sehr sehr klein und einfach. Das nächste mal wird es nicht mehr das Niagara werden.

Good location, the beach is just across the road. Lots of stores, suppermarkets, restaurants nearby hotel. A2 Express bus from airport to hotel one way €5, only 1 mins walk from stop to hotel. Breakfast and dinner are with reasonable choices, good enough to make you full but not quite tasty. Plenty of fresh fruits which is awesome. Seaview from hotel restaurants and rooftop pool is lovely.

If one wants to visit the El Arenal Area of Palma de Mallorca, the Hotel has the ideal location. It is easy to reach by Bus A51 (only two stops from the Airport), which already departs at 5 a.m. in the morning on the way back and therefore making it possible to reach flights departing at 6:30 a.m. without the need of an otherwise expensive Taxi. 10 minutes stroll to the beach. Receptionist on duty was from Austria, therefore she spoke, besides Spanish and English of course, fluent German - which is quite common in Palma. The room was big and clean with a comfortable bed and a powerful A/C, but the walls are really thin. One can hear everything that is going on in other rooms as well as outside.
