Magnifique belle expérience, je reviendrai sûrement

We arrived on a Friday just before midnight and we'd let the staff know. No problem. Reception welcomed us and helped us. A great first experience. In fact all staff were lovely. 1. Receptionist helped us to carry a box of wines to our room. 2. Receptionist gave us excellent recommendation for a shop 3. Staff went over and above and were apologetic for the wedding. In a beautiful location, this restored castle was turned to a beautiful hotel. My Dali room was exquisite with a balcony and an amazing view. I never tried the food. The hotel guests can also make use of the nearby gym - good facilities, reasonable opening hours - but they clearly have 4 memberships - so in reality no more than 4 hotel guests can be at the gym at the same time. All I have to say is that we will be back. Such a great time!

Beware anyone planning to stay at this hotel should note that its main focus is that of leading wedding venue and this takes priority and that on wedding days you will be a second class guest but you will still charged full price. On the first night the entire place and its facilities were geared towards the wedding guests. We had booked half board but had to eat dinner in the pool restaurant as the main restaurant and bar plus surrounding areas had been rented exclusively to the wedding party which was extremely noisy all evening. The pool restaurant was full of flies and had very little atmosphere. The food was very average for the price. We complained about the flies but the head waiter was dismissive and said there was nothing he could do. Our room was nice but we had upgraded to a room with a balcony which was filthy and the only view was large bushes which stopped the daylight and meant there was no value in paying for it. When we complained to the manager at check out he took the price off the drinks from the second night which wasn’t nearly enough to compensate for our experience. It’s very clear this hotel focussed solely on wedding events. The hotel should not be selling half board packages on wedding days and forewarn guest before booking. Having spent €1000 for two nights we feel completely cheated and would not recommend this hotel, which is sad as we came 10 years ago and loved it.

Hello! It was a fascinating place. The building is impressive and historic, with spectacular views across the region. The rooms were lovely and spacious and everything clean. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Special regards to the 2 lovely ladies from the restaurant Vasi and Nela.Certainly we will visiting you again. Thank you so much fam. Luca!!

Being a 4 stars hotel that brands itself as a calm and relaxing place they should warn you when booking the room if the dates you want to go there is an special event as a wedding. We are staying here this weekend and there is an Irish wedding with more than 50 people around ocupying all the public spaces as the swimming pool, the bar… and there is no calm nor relax at all. Yesterday we had to leave the swiming pool because of the noise and the crowded space where was impossible to read, talk or even swim. As a small comment a 4 star hotwl should have tooth brush and other details in the rooms… where there is nothing than a veeery small bottle of water. Breakfast is ok

Great hotel! Booked last minute and we’re not disappointed. The building is impressive and well maintained, the views are lovely, staff are friendly and helpful, both restaurants are good and value for money. Overall an excellent stay, I will be recommending to family and friends!

One of the best mountain getaways! The Castle is very well maintained keeping its authenticity with a modern touch. We booked the Pere Margarit suite and our stay couldn’t be comfier or more relaxing. The buffet breakfast is amazing with lots of options of high quality ingredients. Dinner in Drac Restaurant is also great. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. Special thanks to Lika from the reception and Arnau in F&B. We will definitely come back soon!

Very disappointed. Our room was a "garden room" in the Dali building. Garden consisted of shrubs and trees which blocked any view. Most definitely not what is described on website. Room had an overwhelming musty odor and it seemed like we were in a basement. First clue should have been the humidifiers in the hallway. I think the room had been cleaned before arrival but can't be sure as there was not a single towel on the room and there was some paper trash in the garbage.Bed had been made. Speaking of bed, uncomfortable and had nothing but a thin sheet cover. Restaurant was OK but nothing to write home about. Don't understand the great reviews. Maybe they stayed in a better part of the property. Hotel could be so much more but won't give it a second chance. Glad it was only one night.
