Most things about the hotel are lovely. The lobby is attractive and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable, not too soft or too hard. The room is clean and well maintained. The lighting could be better, but fine. Breakfast has ample options. My big caution is to ask for a room that does not have windows on the central courtyard, because on nights with live music it is extremely loud until 10:30pm. It sounded like my windows were open when they were latched tightly, and I could barely hear myself think.

Очень стильный отель с разнообразными ресторанами, компактным спортзалом и небольшим, но достаточным бассейном на крыше. Рекомендуем вкусные завтраки. Красивое лобби и элегантный бар с приятной публикой. Внимательный персонал . Организовали нам трансфер на большом комфортабельном микроавтобусе и на пару часов дали возможность выехать попозже без доплаты.
Не очень понравилась часть обстановки ( стул со своего места трудно сдвинуть. Стеклянные дверцы шкафов открываются на всю ширину узкого прохода, в сейф добраться возможно только сидя на коленях.
Эти небольшие неудобства нисколько не испортили впечатления от отеля и в другой раз мы снова остановимся в нем.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was absolutely exceptional. Nicolas and Arcelio at the front desk went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. They were both incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The rooms were impeccably clean, and it was clear that the hotel takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of hygiene. I appreciated the modern touches in the room while still enjoying the charm of the historical area. The location in Casco Viejo was ideal, close to great restaurants, shops, and cultural sites. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an exceptional stay in Panama City.

Great location, clean rooms, very rerasonable prices. I want to especially recognize Stefanie. This lady went above and beyond in every way to help our group have an amazing stay in Panama City!!!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Panama City. Perfect location and we always felt very safe.

First time visiting Panama City, and after researching everyone agree you must stay in Casco Viejo, but where? Look not further Tantalo is the place to be, I love the atmosphere, rooms were spacious, clean and you even have your own balcony where you can view the beautiful old city. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Jose at the reception and Lap (I believe that is his name sorry if I am misspelling) at the restaurant…we will definitely stay here again

Unparalleled service and prime location in the heart of Casco Viejo. I had the beautiful loft suite with huge balcony. Loved the classic architecture. I was there for 4 nights and made full use of the well equipped kitchen for preparing breakfast (which was not included). I also did a couple of tours and can recommend the private Panama City tour which was fabulous. Yes, there is loud music (I would have preferred more local sounds), and there are some small nitpicks (no hot water in the kitchen, some signs of wear and tear), but the location, view, and service from Andres and his team really put this one over the top; they may even have the Ritz beat on service! I would definitely stay again without reservation and have already recommended it to others.

CONS: -Older building -Room corridor hot & humid a/c -You can hear street noise very clearly and birds through the windows. I was on the 18th floor, shocking -TV reception was terrible, impossible to change caption to English. ***NO WASH RAGS/FACE TOWELS*** just body towels and hand towels. PROS: -Staff is pretty nice. The male staff seemed nice than the women. -Bed and pillow comfy, good shower pressure a/c worked. I was in room 1816 -Housekeeping was good thorough -No elevator issues -Breakfast is DELICIOUS and SOOO many options -Some of the breakfast items rotated daily. My kids and I loved the stewed fish for breakfast but unfortunately it was only there one out of the 4 mornings we were there. -Friday & Saturday there was a dinner buffet ($23 pp) it was worth the price. So good. -I loved how festive the restaurant is during dinner. There seemed to always be a party happening in the event room past the dining room. -There's also live music on the weekends. **my restaurant review above is not for the bar Inna Vega, the food there was yuck. I ordered a mixed salat with the smoked salmon. I thought I was a piece of fish but it was the thin slices you put on a bagel -Pool has free cabanas, nice size pool. It does go to 10ft and no life guard or clear demarcation so watch your kids. I loved the deep end. -The view is amazing from the room and the pool. -There's a little market on the property to the left of the entrance. You can get souvenirs & water for cheap. All in all I recommend this hotel. I traveled with 2 teens. I'm a Mariott Member, I stay in 4.5- 5 stars.

PPengguna TetamuThe attitude of the front desk and the concierge service is very good. The water in the shower is very small and the water pressure is insufficient. On the day I left, a very unpleasant incident happened. I am 100% sure that my passport was placed on the sink, but I suddenly found it No, I thought I was screwed, but finally found it under the mattress! Who's insane to put a passport under a mattress? It's not clear that I want them to help find it, and give a tip if I find it? I advise everyone to be optimistic about your passport, and don't give them any chance to hide your passport!

We loved the location next to Panama canal and our view from balcony to passing ships and Bridge of the Americas. The staff was very friendly from kind receptionist to attentive bartender and they were all smiling and waving to our little son (4 months) every time they saw us. Gym was airconditioned and clean, opened till 12 am, swimming pool big and refreshing with sunbeds and umbrellas all around. Breakfast (7 usd per person) rich, tasty with good selection of fruit, chicken, saussages, ham, cheese and eggs. Free luggage room (even for couple days when we flew to Bocas) and shuttle to mall nearby. A taxi or uber cost 4 dollars to the city center or the fish market (Mercado De Marisco Cinta Costera). We made a great choice to book this hotel.

This hotel is very old and in serious need of an upgrade. Only reason I even gave it 2 stars is the location is great and the service was good. The had a weird smell, bathroom did not work properly, and everything is pretty worn down and old. Literally looks like they have not invested in the property for years. Another Marriott product that needs a renovation.

GGuidoHotel con amplias instalaciones, con ******, pileta, tiendas y restaurantes. La pastelería/bar Las Hadas, tenía muy buena comida, buena atención y se encontraba abierto las 24hs.
La habitación era grande con linda vista al Océano Pacífico y todos los días dejaban agua embotellada de cortesía.
Un punto negativo es que 1 día se olvidaron de hacer la limpieza de la habitación. Al llamar a recepción para reclamar, nos ofrecieron hacerla, pero ya era de noche.
Como opinión personal, no me gustó que el baño tenga un vidrio esmerilado en vez de tener una pared, por lo que no tenía mucha privacidad.

My waitress, Oreida Roman, made me feel welcome every time. She was always friendly, smiled beautifully, and made sure that the restaurant met my expectations. If I come back to Panama in the near future I will be staying at the Marriott Sortis Hotel and will be dining at La Brasserie. Thank you Oreida and keep being the outstanding waitress that you are.

I cannot say enough about the front desk staff person. He was so kind about fixing a mistake I made. And traveling with a toddler is never easy, but we were allowed early check in, which was really above and beyond what we hoped for. All the stars for this stellar experience!!

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel has been under extensive refurbishments for over a year. It is now a temporary mess that has lingered with no end in sight. There is no lobby or reception or twin lifts or entertainment rooms or restaurant as in the photos they continue to show on ******* and ***********. Falsely and misleadingly showing it as having beautiful amenities when the hotel entrance is boarded up making it look derelict and entrance is through a disgusting dirty, smelly underground car park area that is not signposted from the outside. Construction materials are placed in view , one lift hasn't worked in a year, workmen in dirty clothes use the guest lift to carry materials between floors and cause long delays in using the lift. The evening restaurant is in the makeshift breakfast area. Staff are rude, argumentative and unhelpful, even refusing to let friends into the hotel to collect me as they are not registered to stay! A family member was asked to pay 20 dollars to come in when he came in to speak to me in my room. I had to go down and talk to him in the dirty car park area instead to avoid the charge!. The area at night is dangerous, full of drunks, druggies, homeless and dodgy people, First Suite allocated to me had no running water, was offered another that stunk of mould upon entrance, third had no TV as advertised. Pity as rooms and breakfast are good but I'd definitely avoid this hotel till the remodelling is finished in mid 2024.
