Tiger Rock

We spend 3 days at the Tiger Rock. Our stay was fantastic! The staff is very attentive and caring. All our needs were fulfilled! The food is local and of superb quality. The surroundings our very quiet and peaceful. In the morning you can hear the jungle fauna come to live. Monkeys and birds are the first to greet you when you wake up. Our room was very comfortable and cosy. If you go to Pangkor, Tiger Rock is a must do!

Tiger Rock was a bucket list stay which my family and I finally got to experience in September 2023. We were so fortunate to have them accommodate us at very late notice. Rebecca sent me all the relevant information which was very detailed and helpful. Mohan was on hand to greet us at the Pangkor Ferry terminal and from the moment we met him, I was able to put my brain on snooze for 3 days while we received the warmest hospitality I have ever experienced in Malaysia. The meals were superb, Bavanni is an excellent chef, even making the fish curry my husband craved. My children spent the entire holiday either in the pool or in the pavilion next to it reading. A huge thanks to Nanthini, Devi and Ranjini for making our stay so comfortable. We have such fond memories of everyone plus Papper & Lucky, the two resident doggies. Just a tip, pack decent walking shoes as the houses are on a hill. So glad we went and looking forward to going back to Tiger Rock.

Went to Tiger Rock for a yoga retreat. Tiger Rock was simply AWESOME! We were made to feel so welcome there. It was wonderful to be so close to nature. The pool area was lovely, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and lush vegetation. We heard hornbills daily. My room was quite clean and nicely decorated with our host, Rebecca’s artwork, and I never saw even one mosquito. Mr. Mohan, the caretaker, was extremely kind and looked after us very well. He always kept an eye out to see if we needed any assistance. The food was simply spectacular! Can’t say enough good things about it. Every meal was a delight! The chef, Bavanni, incorporated local fruits, produce and fish, and everything was so beautifully prepared and presented. What a treat! The whole team worked hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Hope to return!

Booked directly with the owner and availed of the Early Bird special which included an island tour to appreciate the local setting. Our visit to Pulau Pangkor was a much needed break and we were grateful to have been able to enjoy Tiger Rock’s relaxing atmosphere at the end of the day. Our accommodation in the jungle was more than perfect to appreciate nature. Mohan, Nandini, and Ali (Devi?) took very good care of us. The food and drinks were amazing. The steamed fish with bunga kantan (ginger torch lily), cashew and spring onion was my family’s favourite. Rest assured we had sumptuous delicious meals every time. We are very grateful for the warm hospitality the staff extended to us and adapted to our schedule as we tried to make the most of our 3D/2N stay. We took the included 2-hour Island Tour on our last day. It was just what we needed to have an impression of the local communities and it was a tour that included a couple of firsts for us: a visit to a mosque, to a fishing boat construction yard, and to see Chinese-themed mosque.

Tiger Rock is MAGICAL. It literally will captivate all your senses. The setting is just beautiful and every detail is taken care of and all with respect to the natural jungle surrounding it, the accommodation is stunning. Mohan and his team were incredibly friendly and made my whole family, including grandparents and three children aged 3, 7 and 9 feel so welcome and we were looked after above and beyond. The food was divine, freshly cooked at every meal and something for the whole family to enjoy. I really cannot speak highly enough of this place, do not hesitate to make this place your next visit. In august 2023 our family booked a 4 night stay in tiger rock. After arriving on oangkor island we were warmly welcomed by Mohan and family. The accomodation is very spacious, clean and includes all necessary details which makes guests feel they are staying in a luxurous resort. The food is prepared excellently and and individual requests are taken care of. I recommend this place especually to the onces who would like to escape mass tourism on a beautifull iskand pangkor. @Mohan and family, thank you again for the excellent service. Family van Ginkel

We stayed at your place on 25 -27 January 2023. We were two French couples. We did love your place and the back to nature style of it. It definitely is very authentic, quiet and peaceful. On top of that your welcoming atmosphere is the nicest of all and the food is wonderful. You deserve success and the main keys to it are Mohan and his wife. They are charming people and efficient. Mohan has helped us understand the local way of life with genuine advice and a thoroughful view his society. He is an actual pearl to make the most of your stay. Mohan nous a aidé à comprendre la vie locale avec ses conseils judicieux et une appréciation globale de sa société. Cet homme est une vraie perle pour tirer le meilleur de votre séjour. We have no word to express The gratitude we feel in our hearts for The gentleness, attention and smiles The entire staff gave us. They all were great, starting from the wonderful Mohan of course (no words for his kindness)and The super Nwnthini and the other guys. And what about The cooker Bawanni ? The best meals we ever had in Asia (and we travelled quiet a lot in Asia): it has been a trip inside our trip! So grateful to perceive The attention to The environment and the animals of the jungle. Tiger Rock is a beautiful hidden gem tucked in the wilderness. The place is serene and surrounded by lush greenery. Suitable for a brief getaway from the city. Mohan and his team pampered us. Bavani serves the most delectable dishes. We loved it!
