The Saint James Paris proved to be an excellent choice for the celebration of my 75th birthday. My husband and I were looking for a quiet, elegant retreat and were delighted to find it in a mansion tucked away on beautiful grounds in a residential neighborhood still within walking distance of some major attractions. Our deluxe suite exceeded our expectations. Its exceptional entry room proved to be an actual conservatory with a glass roof, marble floors, and towering live plants with a small table and comfortable seating. A retractable skylight brightened the spacious bedroom with its king-size bed, desk, lounge chair, ample closet space (including a steamer!), plus a bar area with sparkling crystal, well-stocked mini-refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom was equally gorgeous and well-equipped with a small porthole window offering a view. We enjoyed fine breakfasts and a dinner in the Bellefeuille restaurant, which truly merits its Michelin star. The comfortable library room offered a cozy retreat for a before-dinner aperitif and late lunch. Although we didn’t avail ourselves of the spa or pool, they were well-appointed with many services offered. Superb service from the Saint James staff made our stay very special. The front reception staff was exceptionally welcoming, professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. They answered all questions, helped make transportation arrangements, and kindly responded to my effort to speak French. The concierge recommended a nearby brassiere with excellent food that was clearly a neighborhood favorite. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the dining room/bar staff seemed proud to be working there, as well as truly interested in whether we were having an enjoyable time. We have stayed in other luxury hotels in Paris and can say with confidence that the staff with its quality and level of service distinguishes it. We would highly recommend the Saint James Paris to anyone looking for a truly exceptional experience with the highest quality of service in an incomparable setting.

If you was beautiful, if you stay at the top floor with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Otherwise, if you are just staying in a normal room, it was nothing special, no view, rooms were up at small but clean. Location was quite conveniently located.

What a FABULOUS hotel! This was exceptionally beautiful from the outside to the inside. As you go in, you simply step back in time to gorgeous furnishings with a fire place blazing, a beautifully period styled champagne bar (where you also can have breakfast). We were mesmerised walking around the hotel and found it extremely romantic and quintessentially Parisian. The reception team and concierge were super friendly, welcoming, full of knowledge and a great sense of huour we really enjoyed chatting to them. The Louis Vuitton lift is an experience, it is only really made for 2 people max but Instagram worthy nonetheless. The room was typically bijou and small like all continental hotel rooms (please note that if you need lots of space you might want to either upgrade or choose a hotel known for large rooms) our room was beautifully decorated with luxury linens, super soft mattress fluffy white towels, great amenities, little cookies left by your bed and much more. We slept like babies on that amazing bed. Special shout out to the concierge team, who managed to get us in the fully booked Paul Chène restaurant (always packed with Parisians which is a good thing) and had an awesome meal there. Many other restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumph. We would book again in a heartbeat!

This is a hotel in a residential area of Paris about half an hour walk from the Eiffel Tower. This is a good part of town to find grocers open late and banks with ATM's (surprisingly not so easy to find in Central Paris). I was only there one night so I didn't try to use the metro but I don't think there was a station very close to the hotel. Ubers were easy to get. The hotel ticks off the things you expect: my penthouse suite 600 was a beautifully decorated suite where everything was easy to use and worked well. There was a large terrace with a jacuzzi and a great view of the Eiffel Tower. There were some lemon financiers on arrival; i figured they might have put a few more treats out there considering what they charged for the room, but there was a bottle of perfume and some chocolates to take home at departure. You could walk down the hall to a stairway to reach the roof which had chickens and furniture and more rooftop views. There is a pool, large gym and restaurant. What more could you want? Well, actually it was the vibe and the people that made me give this place a review one cut below excellent. Not that people weren't friendly, but for a Western tourist from the USA, this is a place with a distinctly North African Arab feeling and few of the people here spoke English. You have these burly security guards around, the gym looks pretty tough and when you ask for stuff such as a piece of gym equipment, people don't understand what you are asking for. For instance, I asked two managers for a foam roller in the gym (and demonstrated what they were), and they said they didn't have any. Later I found a closet with 10 of them inside. In the restaurant, if you don't get up and ask for a person to take or bring your order, you might sit there a long while. I had to beg several times to get my breakfast before running out to the airport. The food was pretty good, by the way. The gym is open till 11 and the pool is open 24/7. There is a bathing suit spinner. The pool is an excellent heated lap pool and there are items such as flippers around. The elevators are a bit slow and that was bothersome. There are no real attractions nearby for a tourist to visit so this is not an ideal location for a tourist. I stayed here because i thought it would be cool to have a rooftop terrace for a night in Paris overlooking the Eiffel. I also liked having a hotel with a great health club. But I'd rather have more Western-looking tourists like myself around me at a hotel with staff that spoke English (aside from the receptionist and hotel operator), and I just didn't feel all that comfortable at this place. If you want to be in a place where you feel that you are in Paris and not in a tourist hotel, this hotel is great. But I”m not a local and don't really want to mix with them when I'm just passing through. It's really a matter of taste. Fabulous!!! I visited with my mother and my two daughters for a long weekend. Perfect location, short walk to Eiffel Tower, amazing shops, cafes, restaurants nearby. Supermarket a few doors up for essentials and a pharmacy, also Carrefour over the road. Room perfect, we had a deluxe 2bed apartment, 100% cleaning standards, linen changed daily.. immaculate, could not fault cleanliness/hygiene at all. Only small negative thing to mention is that they leave some lovely L’occitane products in the rooms, nice that they replace them so much, keeping shampoos etc topped up but I used a lovely bar of verbena soap and it was replaced each day, bit of a waste, only used it for handwashing, I left it by sink each morning…came back later each day to find a new one in wrapper, so they were obviously being binned and replaced, a bar would of lasted months so just one for the whole 4 days would have been fine! Brilliant gym! Beautiful decor and art, free coffee machine in lobby, nice cappuccinos! Staff very friendly and helpful, excellent English! Close to Metro stations although we mostly walked and used Uber. Wasn’t bothered by any noise at all, was on 5th floor, busy street below but was so tired each night, didn’t hear anything at all! Room had iron/ironing board, hairdryer, a safe, coffee machine, all kitchen utensils, pans etc to cook a meal, microwave, dishwasher, oven/hob… Would highly recommend and stay again definitely, the hotel made our trip to Paris even more magical. 5 stars well deserved, Thankyou.

We booked at short notice. The hotel is situated in a great location for some major landmarks and excellent metro links for the city only a short walk away. Everything at the hotel was excellent from the moment we checked in. All staff were very friendly professional and courteous. The front desk staff were very helpful and nothing too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean big thank you to housekeeping. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice to choose from. Service here was excellent and the quality of the food was very good and delicious, although my waistline was put under severe strain due to the many culinary delights on offer 😆. Breakfast was till 10.45 am which was good if you wanted a late morning. Room comfort was good and despite being in the city outside noise was kept to a minimum, bed was very comfortable and was able to get a very good sleep. It's a city centre hotel so the rooms are not going to be huge although there was plenty of wardrobe space lots of electric sockets and a full-size mirror in the room and a TV with English channels, which in a lot of independent city hotels is not always the case, free in-room safe also very useful. For a city centre hotel, this is one of the better ones I have stayed in. Great service and room comfort, excellent breakfast. The hotel has character and charm you won't find in chain hotels and I had a wonderful five night's stay.

The location is very convenient just 3 mins walk from Metro. And is walkable to everywhere. The room is spacious for 3 paxs. And we even have a bathtub! Rooms and bathroom have window which is super important. The staffs are all super helpful and friendly (sorry that I didn’t get their names). The hotel has an elevator (small) which is important since we have very big and heavy luggage. Probably don’t require to pay for the breakfast which I felt os overpriced. Overall good experience and would recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. There was always someone available at reception to assist us and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early afternoon and were checked in right away and were able to leave our bags on the last day until we headed to the airport. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and in a good location for access to trains, the metro and buses. I would definitely recommend staying at Villa Alessandra!

Very nice hotel about 3 blocks from Arc de Triomphe. We walked to everything. Very clean and seems to be recently renovated with modern baths and electronics. The restaurant was just a bit minimalist. And, our experience with getting cars, etc. was so-so. Still, would choose it again as a reasonably-priced (for Paris!) 5-star property.

I am not sure where the negative reviews came from but I had an enjoyable stay for one night. I work for a company whose HQ is nearby so I know the other hotels in the area. My room was spacious with a lovely couch and table, a good working area. The wardrobe space was adequate for me but might be a bit small for a couple who actually unpack and are there for a week. Tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated. The bathroom had a separate bath and large shower. Bathrobe and slippers are included. Although the room was right on the road I could barely hear anything and the blackout curtains worked well. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I was well rested the next day. Compared to other hotel rooms in nearby hotels I know the fit and finish was good and the room was well maintained. Perhaps the hotel has responded to the feedback from other reviews? The breakfast was the standard fare for a French hotel i.e. more than adequate. The viennoisseries were particularly good. I only wish there was some loyalty scheme.

The location is very convenient; minutes walk to the metro station and bus 82 stops outside the door. The hotel is small and cosy with a boutique Parisian feel. I had some nice things happen at this hotel, but they were not many. I got in after a long flight and went to the desk at 11:30 and was told that my room was not ready. I can understand that rooms were to be ready at three. They told me they would make getting my room ready a top priority. I went out walked had lunch, came back at 1:30. a different gentleman demanded My passport, looked at me the entire time like I was disgusting bug for a few minutes, and then told me that my room was not ready. And sat down in the lobby and read in plain sight for over an hour and a half. I finally went up to the desk after three to find out that my room was ready. Instead of giving me my luggage, they said they would bring it up. It has been an extremely long flight and I wanted to shower. I waited over 20 minutes for my bag came back downstairs was told that it was probably on its way up and waited another five minutes before it appeared at my room. I had the same problem at the table. I came down waiting for a friend, but was one of the tables someone could’ve asked me if I wanted coffee. I waited 15 minutes with no one saying a word. For the most part continued that way. There were some decent exchanges, but for the most part, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel.
