We were searching for an affordable hotel in the 19th Arr. to be close to Parc Villette. This was mostly determined by the fact that we had tickets for a concert at La Trabendo and were hoping to be within walking distance. Hôtel Villette offered everything we needed! This simple, charming hotel is very clean, quiet, and fairly recently renovated. No frill are available so do read the hotel's description. There is no fridge in the room, no noisy drink machines outside your door so it's perfect for us. We are avid walkers so walking distance for us may not be the same for you, but Hôtel Villette is surrounded by a multicultural array of stores and cafés. Be warned that not all cultures welcome women in their bars...be prepared to walk a little further if you are looking for a neighbourhood pub. The convenience store next door offers wine and ice cream, thus cornering the market on all solutions to the human condition.

The hotel is now the Ibis Budget and not Greet, and the bedroom we stayed in has clearly been refurbished since some of the photos I see posted for previous reviews. We stayed here as the final day of 10 days interrail trip in 9 other European countries and capital cities. I think most would understand interrailing is about keep cost down low of accommodation, but this was the most expensive venue out of the 9 capital cities we visited at €150. Aware that by keeping costs low we weren’t immediately in the city we had noted that even Rosa Parks RER line E or Metro Poste de La Chapelle were fairly close so thought no more. We arrived at the Hotel at approx 20:45 on the 20/06 and thought it odd to see security on the door. We showered and get ready to go in towards central Paris. Was a 6 minute walk to the metro. However even as a pair of 2 males we had never felt so scared in a capital city. The route wasn’t well lit or easy to navigate due to works taking place in the local area. People started begging almost immediately from stepping out. Because we didn’t understand what the beggars were asking but assumed they wanted money, to which we didn’t give because we had cards only, a tin can was thrown at us. There was people clambering up from the road over tall green fences. Then at the station because it was slow using the machines to get a metro ticket again this drew attention to ourselves and again beggars tried to get money from us. There’s a lot more I could add about the situation we incurred from the local area but that’s not really fair to the hotel as it’s not there fault, however I note several previous reviews talk about this and a response is given that you are working with the local mayor. I could give you a quick solution or suggestion now, how about providing a hotel mini bus for tourists who want to sight see, not even for drop offs in city centre but to act as a shuttle to the nearest station so hotel guest feel safe. In fact as several hotels are all nearby it could be a joint local initiative. Sadly had I seen the other trip advisors or googled Poste De La Chapelle before staying, I would not have booked. So In summary, rooms clean, and refurbished, I think your main hall way needs a good hoover though. Staff great but only an ideal location if arriving by car and intending on not leave the hotel. We totally felt marooned by what was happening in the surrounding area. The whole experience has ruined our perception of Paris so check this hotel meets your requirements before booking.

The hotel has all the facilities of a basic budget accommodation. Also as it is an Accor brand, you can expect the standard room amenities and layout. I stayed at this property for 2 nights. There is nothing amazing about it, but you get what you pay for! The hotel wasn't too cheap either and I paid about €300 for two nights jncl. taxes (note I stayed during the Paris Air Show week as I was attending the show. All hotels in Paris were equally or even higher priced). My check-in was carried out by an extremely rude and unprofessional male member of the staff. He was neither welcoming nor happy to do his job. Halfway through the check-in process, he referred me to his female colleague as the system wasn't working on his side. To my luck, the female staff member was really polite and respectful. She was not only warm and courteous, but also efficient in the way she carried out her duties. I quickly went to my room The room itself is nothing special. It has basic furniture, a desk and chair, TV, hangers for your clothes and bed side racks. The bathroom was quite tiny and while taking a shower, the entire bathroom got wet and flooded. I think the shower cubicle has a leakage. The bathroom just had one bottle of all purpose body and hair wash. There was no hand wash near the basin. The towels were of cheap quality - but again, this is Ibis Budget, so not expecting anything more! The room was well maintained and clean, which is nice! I had chosen a breakfast included rate, but oh my, the breakfast was a joke! The bread and croissant tasted industrial and it felt like they were delivered from outside. Too bad for a hotel to not bake its own bread or croissant! There were two types of juices - it said fresh, but it tasted artificial. There was yogurt, stale looking fruit pieces, cream cheese, butter and boiled egg. That's all! The least they could have kept is flavoured yogurt, some ham and maybe scrambled eggs! This was absolutely the worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. But again, the staff was courteous here and the cafeteria was clean at least! During checkout, I requested to store my bags for a few hours and to my surprise they charge hotel guests €2 per bag! This is ridiculous! Even though I don't mind paying the money but I feel a hotel guest must never have to pay to store their bags! It's not like people are coming from the street to store their bags in this hotel! C'mon Accor Group, you can let hotel guests store their bags for free - it's basic courtesy and hospitality! The hotel is located at the very end of the Metro line 12 in Aubervilliers. The neighborhood is okay to spend 1-2 nights maximum. Even though I didn't have any safety issues, I must say at times I felt an eerie feeling. But again in Paris, you must be careful of pickpockets everywhere. The only plus point is its proximity to CDG Airport and direct metro access to Paris City. Will I stay here again? 酒店在肖蒙公園旁邊，離最近的metro line7B步行5分鐘，到老佛爺，巴黎春天百貨再轉7號線，也就是%0幾分鐘。地理位置鬧中取靜，是6月新裝修的酒店，硬件設施很OK，也很智能。提供中文服務就是無障礙溝通，辦理check in 的是一位中國小姐姐，非常親切，熱心熱情接待！BTW早餐的培根太好吃了!

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Un accueil souriant, des personnes aux petits soins pour ses clients. L’Aparthotel est neuf, propre et décoré avec goût. Le studio est chaleureux, et très bien équipé. Le petit-déjeuner est complet. Bref, un établissement à conseiller et découvrir si vous vous rendez dans le coin 👍🏼

Stayed here to be close to Disneyland, only 12 minute walk to the park!!! It’s the closest non-Disney hotel to the park, and very glad we chose it. The room itself was good, a little apartment with all the amenities you would need, nothing fancy but good! Bed was comfy, shower was nice. Staff friendly, easy to check in. (first time using trip.com for anything and was worried our booking was going to be non-existent as the price was so cheap compared to other websites, but it was all fine!) It’s also close to the main shopping centre in val d’europe (about a 14 minute walk). the train station in val d’europe is a little further walk, we found that walking to Marne la ville chessy train station at Disneyland was actually closer and faster to get too! All in all, would highly recommend here if you want to be very close to Disneyland, dont bother using shuttles and things, just walk!
