The quality of the hotel is somewhat equivalent to what is expected of such a cheap hotel :) There seemed to be a lot of nice restaurants to explore in the area, and the hotel was close to public transport facilities. However, upon immediate examination during our arrival, we found bed bugs. We asked to see another room, but this one was also infested. Because of this, we decided we could not stay at Tolbiac. Our concern was that the hotel took little precaution, as they were not aware of the problem themselves. This was an unfortunate experience.

Les deux points positifs à retenir de notre séjour sont l’emplacement, l’hôtel se situe à moins de 10min à pied de la station de métro Place d’Italie, et trois réceptionnistes sur quatres qui sont accueillant et sympathiques. Pour la suite … NE VENEZ PAS !!! Le quatrième réceptionniste est absolument désagréable. On a l’impression de le déranger, il ne respecte pas la clientèle et travaille même en claquette … On se demande si il aime son boulot. Une propreté de chambre honteuse au vue du prix , une poignée de porte de la salle de bain cassée, une prise électrique cassée, et des taies d’oreiller et serviettes qui sont sales . De plus , on entend absolument tout ce qui se passe dans l’hôtel grâce à une isolation qui est inexistante. Très déçu …

Très bonne surprise. Un bon rapport qualité prix à deux pas des transports. Un Monoprix et quelques restaus à proximité. Même en étant en centre, pas franchement de bruits à l'extérieur. Le personnel est accueillant et professionnel. Quand j'ai demandé un renseignement sur mon trajet, la jeune femme à l'accueil m'a immédiatement renseigné. Et lorsque j'ai eu des petits problèmes (pas de code wifi dans la chambre, une télécommande pleine de coca par le précédent client, démagnétisation de ma carte), ils ont tout de suite réglé le souci. La chambre était propre, le lit bien fait et la literie agréable. Une TV, un petit bureau et une armoire pour ranger ses affaires, pas besoin de beaucoup plus. Alors bien sûr, on pourrait pinailler en disant que certains joints de douche mériteraient d'être changé ou de mettre une tablette pour poser ses produits dans la douche. Mais franchement, j'ai connu des hôtels bien pires que celui-là. Je pense que je reviendrais à l'hôtel Jenner sans soucis pour mes prochaines venues sur la capitale. Les petits plus : - savon et gel douche fournis - climatisation (indispensable avec ces fortes chaleurs)

Visit with a group ,we did make a reservation in advance for a early price fee ,also responding with mail to the managment,in order of covid the trip was delay to another date ,certainly after contact when covid was allowed to travel again ,they lost or reservation and didn't no explain why ,so we did forced again to make the same reservation but in order another price higher then before ,checked and visit the hotel before the visiting date and promised there are accomadation for store luggage ,bikes certainley at day arriving there was no accomodation and no communication ,the breakfast was horrible and basic ,the chef kitchen use microwave for boiling eggs ,never seen that before ,France where the gastronomie are high standard is this hotel ,managment a dissapointment,never again

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away. The hotel is about 8 minute walking from metro station Porte de Choisy. There are some restaurants nearby. The breakfast in the hotel costs 9 euros per person. The room is big and there is a small kitchen inside. There is a gym too but I did not check it out. The staffs however were not very friendly and made mistakes like charging me the tax for two persons without first asking me.

I wish I'd listened to the few recent bad reviews that had been written about this property and kept my reservation at our original small boutique, well-rated BW affiliated hotel. However, given we were only staying a night and that it was offered for a reasonable number of points for as a Bonvoy reward, I took the jump. Elite members used to decent Marriott-branded hotels, spend the extra points and choose one of the other Paris hotels (the Westin, the other Marriott or the Renaissance). I can confirm that: -AC or the hotel's ventilation system currently doesn't work. Windows don't open. We had the vent blowing on ”high” and it was just recirculating air. I have a travel clock that's also a thermometer. We never managed to cool the room below 24C. It was around 13 or 14C outside that night. Shouldn't have been that hard to cool down the room by 2-3 degrees to sleep well. I love the thick feather duvets Marriott uses, but not when the room can't be cooled down to 20-21C. When I called the service hotline, I was told they were having issues with the system and it was what it was. No offer to even bring up a fan. Nothing. It was a ”oh well, too bad” attitude. -We also had toilet issues. Our toilet flushed poorly. You had to hold the flush button for at least 30 seconds to properly flush anything. -Platinum/Titanium elite members, forget about receiving any value or being recognized here. I don't expect an upgrade to a suite or the top corner room every time I stay. I understand hotels do what they can with what they have available. Their inventory shows ”executive” rooms and diffetent types of suites available. We booked a standard ”Paris view” king room and received a ”Paris view, high floor” king room. The way the floors are built, the elevators are in the middle. There's around 15, maybe 18 rooms to the left or right of the elevator lobby on each floor. Our door was 4 doors away. Couldn't even be bothered to place us further away. That was my minimal expectation. No slippers or bathrobes in rooms here. Poor shower pressure. Good luck washing your hair if you have long ones. -Front desk: The coldest reception welcome I've received at a Marriott in a long time. I swear if Bill Marriott was still CEO, properties like this would get a call from HQ to review their staff training. We are French Canadians. The agent was struggling in French and answered us in English a few times even though we were clearly not English speakers. That was extremely odd in Paris. No mention of Bonvoy status, only that, and I quote ”breakfast is not included. Because of your membership, you can take the continental buffet tomorrow morning at the restaurant. Normally, it's not included, but we don't have a lounge at the moment”. Jeez louise, I felt like I was being handed a favour... -There's a ”Bonvoy Elite” line for the front desk, but it was neither manned or enforced in the evening when we arrrived, or the following day at check out, where the line was all t

If you need to be in Ivry Sur Seine -- and I did -- this is a reasonably priced good option. But if you don't need to be in Ivry Sur Seine, you might want to think twice, because the neighbourhood is soulless and the transport links are poor, making it unsuitable for someone wanting to spend a lot of time in central Paris, for example. My room was minimal -- a bed, desk, place to hang clothes, and a bathroom with no amenities except toilet paper and body wash. But it was very clean and very quiet. The air con worked well, as did the free wifi, and so the room was fine for me. The daily breakfast was standard continental serve-yourself buffet, but without fruit on one day. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was very neat and well kept. The lighting looked very pretty and it was very good room for a budget hotel. I was completely satisfied with the experience. The room was also cleaned every day which was very good. It also had air conditioning that was excellent as Paris was very hot during my stay. It was located next to a shopping centre(Bercy 2) this was very convenient for me as I was able to get all that was needed inside there. The staff were okay. They were a bit passive aggressive but they did help. I didn’t hear of this 50 euros deposit which I was afraid of when booking this hotel. Instead I paid 4.02 euros as city tax which is understandable as I am staying in Paris. There was also a wonderful pizza shop which was shared with a bakery down the road from the hotel which had amazing pizza and great customer service. Even though the man couldn’t speak any English he was very pleasant. In terms of location, this hotel has a very good public transportation connections with bus stops within walking distance of the hotel which take you to the metro and the metro can take you across Paris. French public transportation was very easy to use and inexpensive. Even though, I felt some passive aggression in my time in France(which I believe is how french people are), I was completely satisfied with my experience and would recommend to people on a budget looking for hotels in Paris with good transportation connections.

Im groben und Ganzen ok. Vom Flughafen Orly gut gelegen. Die Zimmer typisch Französisch klein. Was halt schade ist, man teilt sich das Gebäude mit dem Ibis Budget, wenn man ne Schulklasse oder so im Hotel eingebucht hat, wird es schnell ziemlich laut.
