First, the pros: The location is excellent. Right opposite is the Embassy of Côte d'Ivoire in Paris, and you'll see people lining up early every morning. I took the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord, then just one metro stop to Saint-Lazare, and the hotel is a five-minute walk from the station exit. To get to Versailles, you can take the L line directly, which is much better than the C line, and the Navigo Pass (N card) is also valid. Around Saint-Lazare, there are numerous bus routes to various attractions, many of which are terminal or starting stations. Saint-Augustin station, just across the street, also has many connections. In short, transportation is exceptionally convenient. Downstairs, there's a Carrefour and a Normal store – one for groceries and drinks, the other for daily necessities. The staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic. The hotel's own restaurant serves delicious food, and while the selection isn't vast, it's better than some of the surrounding cafes. With the pros out of the way, let's talk about the downsides: 1. The showerhead and hose connection leaked quite badly. I didn't bother reporting it because I was usually out early and back late, and didn't want repair staff entering the room when I wasn't there. Plus, I mostly used the overhead rain shower, so it was manageable. 2. Housekeeping was frustrating. I had to ask the front desk when the body lotion ran out. The next day, the tissues were gone too – it felt like everything depended on guests proactively reporting issues. 3. For drinking water, you had to take your bottle downstairs to refill it yourself every day, and the provided bottle was only 770ml. The hotel's own restaurant, apart from breakfast, was closed on Saturdays and Sundays – they really take their weekend off policy seriously! 4. Breakfast choices were limited. It was fine for a few days, but after a week, I couldn't face it anymore. If it weren't for the sudden, crazy price hike in September, I definitely would have stayed somewhere else. 17,000 for six days is absurd. This place is barely three-star level, on par with a budget chain like Hanting.

The hotel was truly excellent. First off, it's brand new and conveniently located, just a couple of turns away from Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. What's more, the lunch and dinner options were outstanding! I honestly regret not trying them sooner; I should have had the fish dinner on the very first day. It's also very reasonably priced, with main courses at just 21 Euros. A 21-euro main course here is an incredible value, far more delicious than just a sandwich from Paul's – truly delightful! Overall, the area felt very safe too.

The queen bed was made up of two mattresses instead of one which is not expected. The water in the shower was too small to use.
