After much consideration, we are now ready to write a non bias review. This is a nice, single lift, 4-star boutique hotel in a very good location. It is a block away from Arc de Triomphe and also the metro station. Champ Elysees is also just a slow stroll down the street. You can find what you need all within walking distance (ie branded boutiques/supermarket). We were there for a family Christmas holiday. We had 3 rooms for 6nights in December, two premier rooms and one atelier suite. For the premier rooms, we were allocated rooms on the mid level, they were clean and quiet but dark, brighter lights would be helpful. The light buttons (yes, not switches) were rather difficult to operate as they work like dimmers. Bathrooms on the other hand were great. They were bright and spacious, water pressure was also decent. For the atelier suite, first and foremost, I have to say we were quite shocked to learn it was on the ground floor, just a few steps behind the reception area/main entrance. From the room door, you have to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the bedroom. Thankfully the staff who checked us in was very kind to help us with our two massive luggage. Like the photos, the suite was big for Parisian hotel standard. There was a cracked in the glass roof therefore we were informed to keep it closed for safety reason. Daily breakfast was offered for this inconvenience. Bathroom and toilet was separated on each side of the suite. It felt rather silly to walk over to the bathroom just to wash your hands after using the toilet. Unfortunately for us, the toilet lights went out on the third day, the concierge was informed a few times of this issue but no one followed up with us on this problem. As such, it was frustrating and a struggle to use the toilet in complete darkness for the following three days (the walls being black were not helpful either). Next, the hotel ran out of toothbrush which we personally felt was unacceptable. This is consider a basic necessity for a hotelier. We have never stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world which doesn’t provide toothbrush when requested. The hair dryer was also missing from the suite. We appreciate Flo’s kind assistance to look and tested if the hair dryer was in working condition before sending over to us. Housekeeping needs to be improved - tissue were not replenished when low and shower drainage weren’t cleared. For the benefit of doubt, we are not difficult guests - We did not request to change bedsheets during our stay. We just expect what a 4-star hotel standard should be. Lastly, we noted there was no receptionist at the reception area in the evening while the door was on automatic at 10pm. There was also no service personnel at the reception most of the time in the early morning and late evening. We felt the presence of staffs at the reception would help the guests feel safer since the road is quiet and there is a nightclub beside the hotel. A handwritten note from Lamya and gifts w
