Hotel berhampiran Musée des Plans-Reliefs, Paris

I loved everything about this place. The hotel and rooms exude Parisian charm and romance. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful (especially Marie). The room was nicely decorated, very clean, and well-kept. We had the most amazing view of the Les Invalides dome. Just a few minutes walk from the nearest metro and bus station and 15 min. walk to two others. Short walk to Rue Cler. Around a 25 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. This is in a very quiet area. There was very little street noise (I think I heard a siren or two during our entire 5 night stay--otherwise not a sound!) We didn't hear other guests except briefly a couple times when the room next to us was entering or exiting. The walls have good soundproofing. Bed was comfortable. Each room has its own temperature control and the AC was working great. One thing to be aware of is that the rooms are quite small. It's my understanding is that this is typical of many hotels in Paris (and big cities in general). Not a problem for us because we didn't spend much time there and we pack light. We only had 2 carry-ons and 2 backpacks and were able to find places to stash the luggage, but if you bring a lot of luggage, these boutique-type hotels might not be for you. But for us, Hotel de l'Empereur was the perfect place to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

First, let me start off with the positives. Great location. Very easy to travel to anywhere in the city to see the sites. Very professional and friendly staff. The front desk was very helpful and calling taxis and storing our baggage for the day. The staff at breakfast was very kind And friendly as well. Breakfast was great lots of choices and the food was delicious. The coffee was amazing. While the hotel says that they have done renovations And the lobby and breakfast area look great. The room needed quite a bit of attention. Granted, we only stayed for one night however cleanliness is important. Upon getting off the elevator and turning to enter our room, there was a gigantic disgusting burn mark in the rug. We stayed in room 41 upon entering the room there was black electrical tape holding the HVAC unit on the wall together. The dresser was missing several pieces of hardware/handles. The bedding was very comfortable and clean. The shower curtain was gross as it had mold all along the bottom. And some of the tiles grout was very dirty.

A very pleasant hotel for a reasonable price. Clean rooms, towels changed daily Poor bathroom lighting but it's irrelevant at this price. Service very helpful and polite. A lot of restaurants in the area, a wonderful bakery with coffee and baguettes for breakfast. Subway, buses, train station, everything nearby. Fairly safe neighborhood. Of course, as everywhere in tourist agglomerations, you have to watch out for pickpockets. 30 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower. All major attractions can be reached by metro. To Versailles by train from the nearby station for 4€. I recommend

Completely recommend this hotel!!! When I visit here there were having a construction but it doesn't really matter , because I can see the beautiful eiffel!!🥹 And I'm a solo traveler so I cannot go out at late night but I can feel the cool summer night wind and I can see shinning eiffel until 2am so it was really the precious experience... I'm still missing the view from the window🫶🏻🇫🇷

Kleines Touristenhotel mit rund 25 Zimmern. Das Hotel liegt in 2 Min. Fussweg zur U-Bahnstation Pernety, was sehr praktisch ist. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind jedoch sehr klein. In unserem Zimmer hatte es kaum eine Ablagefläche, geschweige denn einen richtigen Schrank. Rund um das Bett 30 - 80 cm, das wars… Die Dusche war ok; für die Duschkabine darf man aber keine Platzangst haben. Eine enge Treppe führt in die Obergeschosse; der Lift ist ebenfalls klein. Der grösste Mangel im Hotel ist aber der Frühstücksraum. Für eine solche Anzahl Hotelzimmer nur 22 Sitzplätze -＞ das genügt einfach nicht. Es kann nicht sein, dass man morgens um 8.30 Uhr zum Frühstück will und dann fast eine Stunde in der Hotel-Lobby warten muss. Das Frühstück selber ist relativ spartanisch. Das Hotelpersonal dürfte auch freundlicher und kompetenter sein, angefangen bei Receptionspersonal bis hin zur Bedienung im Frühstücksraum. Alles in allem kann man dort bei einem Städtetrip übernachten - bedingungslos empfehlenswert, na ja….

The room is clean and ok, the bathroom as well. The breakfast is perfect and the stuff is very willing to help. The location is closely to the Metro station, so all in all everything fine and for sure a good recommendation to stay!

I wish I'd listened to the few recent bad reviews that had been written about this property and kept my reservation at our original small boutique, well-rated BW affiliated hotel. However, given we were only staying a night and that it was offered for a reasonable number of points for as a Bonvoy reward, I took the jump. Elite members used to decent Marriott-branded hotels, spend the extra points and choose one of the other Paris hotels (the Westin, the other Marriott or the Renaissance). I can confirm that: -AC or the hotel's ventilation system currently doesn't work. Windows don't open. We had the vent blowing on ”high” and it was just recirculating air. I have a travel clock that's also a thermometer. We never managed to cool the room below 24C. It was around 13 or 14C outside that night. Shouldn't have been that hard to cool down the room by 2-3 degrees to sleep well. I love the thick feather duvets Marriott uses, but not when the room can't be cooled down to 20-21C. When I called the service hotline, I was told they were having issues with the system and it was what it was. No offer to even bring up a fan. Nothing. It was a ”oh well, too bad” attitude. -We also had toilet issues. Our toilet flushed poorly. You had to hold the flush button for at least 30 seconds to properly flush anything. -Platinum/Titanium elite members, forget about receiving any value or being recognized here. I don't expect an upgrade to a suite or the top corner room every time I stay. I understand hotels do what they can with what they have available. Their inventory shows ”executive” rooms and diffetent types of suites available. We booked a standard ”Paris view” king room and received a ”Paris view, high floor” king room. The way the floors are built, the elevators are in the middle. There's around 15, maybe 18 rooms to the left or right of the elevator lobby on each floor. Our door was 4 doors away. Couldn't even be bothered to place us further away. That was my minimal expectation. No slippers or bathrobes in rooms here. Poor shower pressure. Good luck washing your hair if you have long ones. -Front desk: The coldest reception welcome I've received at a Marriott in a long time. I swear if Bill Marriott was still CEO, properties like this would get a call from HQ to review their staff training. We are French Canadians. The agent was struggling in French and answered us in English a few times even though we were clearly not English speakers. That was extremely odd in Paris. No mention of Bonvoy status, only that, and I quote ”breakfast is not included. Because of your membership, you can take the continental buffet tomorrow morning at the restaurant. Normally, it's not included, but we don't have a lounge at the moment”. Jeez louise, I felt like I was being handed a favour... -There's a ”Bonvoy Elite” line for the front desk, but it was neither manned or enforced in the evening when we arrrived, or the following day at check out, where the line was all t

Absolutely perfect- beyond perfect! I cried when we left. We’ve been to Paris a few times and stayed in the area, and love it, but this was our first time with kids. We had ‘The Room’ that is used on the photos and it really really is like that. That view! The place had a great vibe, with staff and other guests being warm and welcoming. We loved the shared fridge and kitchen- perfect for our kids who will only eat cereal for breakfast! The location is perfect. Right next to a lovely play area for kids, Anvers metro station is outside and the Sunday street market that filled then boulevard was great! The room was lovely- very nicely decorated and the kids loved the bunbeds. Loved sitting on our little balcony and enjoying that view. I can’t even write how perfect our stay was. I’ve never seen Paris look so beautiful and we can’t wait to return.
