TtyinghongThe guest house located in a very cozy place. It’s located near longmen which you could walk to in the morning. Room is very good. It’s very warm inside in a cold day. Very recommendddd!!! Also the hotel staff is friendly.

CCharlyTravelsI stayed one night at the May fourth hostel. The staff was very friendly and spoke English.
Location: After the staff, the location was the best aspect of this hostel. It is location close to a big shopping mall and also relatively close to the Mingtang Paradise Scenic Area.
Room: Small and modern. The placement of the light switches, aircon control and hangers was convenient. The room got a little bit stuffy, but this is normal with these small hostel boxes.
Cleanliness: The room was clean when I arrived and the bedding was put on. For hostel standards, the shower + toilet area were clean and got cleaned regularly.
Quietness: Room was quiet. I did not hear noise from the hallway / other rooms.
All in all, I highly recommend staying at the may fourth hostel.

PPengguna TetamuThis place was the best accommodations we had for my parents and my wife, the rooms were spacious, the view was incredible, the hosts was so accommodating and warm, food was delicious.
To the right of the hotel is a muslim street with morning markets and sometimes night market, to the left of the hotel after the bridge is the Luoyi ancient city. There are performances every night during the golden week. A lot of festivities and a lot of the traditional hanfu places to try out nearby.
We loved this place and will always want to come back here.

NNicDThis is a very nice hotel which is great value for money. The location is great, just around the corner from a large mall (Wangfujing) and lots of restaurants nearby. I especially recommend the little place with 'Chinese Hamburger' on the sign on the road behind the hotel building - they have an English menu and do great roujiamo - they even have a vegetarian 'sujiamo'! We got an upgrade on check in and the room was spacious and comfortable. The cleaners and reception staff were generally polite and helpful. The breakfast was Chinese but was fresh, different every day, and any food that ran out at busy times was always quickly replenished. The free laundry was very convenient and the machines were easy to use. We did have two issues which made staying there a bit inconvenient though. The first was that when the underground car park was full cars could no longer get past the barrier, meaning they couldn't drive up to reception. This was a problem since the road outside was flooded and meant that we had to load and unload suitcases while standing in deep puddles in the pouring rain. The second issue was the keycards: every day we would come back to our room and the keycard wouldn't work. We complained at reception every single day about this issue but it was never resolved.

PPengguna TetamuThis has to be on of the best hotels I’ve ever visited! Christian’s hotel is modern, bright, scrupulously clean and with all the mod cons you could ask for, but their real claim to fame has to be the staff. Many hotels claim their staff are there to give guests a good experience - but at this hotel they really are! At every level, staff went out of their way to check everything was OK for me, put right any issues, and actively look for ways to please me. Examples are: 1) when I dropped coffee at breakfast the girl who came to help wouldn’t start cleaning the mess until she’d made sure I hadn’t been scalded or stained my clothes, 2) my toothpaste was near it’s end - I returned to find a ‘tube squeezer’ to help empty it, 3) I travel with medication and returned to find a very useful pill box put next to the packets! All fairly small gestures, but they demonstrate how the staff go out of their way for their guests. The food at breakfast was of top quality, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was that I had to move on to another city - I would have preferred to stay at Christian’s for longer!!

Ordered food delivery, front desk will use robot to send up to room.
Only thing to improve is the breakfast, can be better in terms of the food and noodle staff can better explain the kind of noodle.
Leak from 1 of the basin, but there is another basin so still ok.

PPengguna TetamuProblem 1. I arrived at the hotel shortly after 4pm on the checkin day but learned that the room was not available. They rented it out for the hourly rental and told me that the guest just checked out and would take 20 minutes to clean the room for me. I was stuned! As the check in time is 2pm, how could they rent the room out without knowing it was reserved for nightly rental and it only took 20 minutes to clean a room? This kind of operatons is not acceptable. Though the staff was friendly and apologizingly to provide me another type of room, the bed size ( twins) and the window view (no view) were all different and not better. At first I considered to switch what they offered at the time of my arrival because I was very tired. But then I decided to wait because the new room was not better.
Problem 2. At night, when I took a shower, I realized that the water stored in the shower floor like a little basin. It didn't and couldn't get complete dry even till next morning. See photo. The moles have alreay formed a cycle for a period of the time, but the hotel didn't fix it and still rented it.
Problem 3. Another day, I couldn't turn the heater on. The staff then told me they turned the heater off at the end of March.
I will NOT recommend this hotel to other travelers.

FFly guyNice quiet hotel and very close to the Grottoes. Good comfortable beds. Great value. Be Aware the hotel is within the Grottoes complex so you must either walk 15-20 minutes from the taxi locations or contact the hotel and get picked up by there small open car. Great service. They drove us to a restaurant a d picked us up. Would definitely recommend

PPengguna TetamuThis is a very low density hotel. Suitable for those who want to enjoy the quietness and calmness of the environment.
The service is top notch. Every room is assigned to a butler, who gets most of the job done, like room service, prepping the hotspring water, food order etc. The replies are prompt and helpful.
The food provided was good. It's semi buffet style, which is sensible considering the hotel only caters for such low headcounts. Some food are ordered from the bar. The quality is not bad.
There was only one problem. We chose the capsule room. Mainly because we wanted to enjoy the view from the hill. However, there was a construction right in front of us, which blocked the view. We could mainly see the construction signboard which was a little disappointing.
The hotel also provided a parting gift on our checkout day.
Overall it was a good experience.
