Great location just under 10-minute drive away from the Volcanoes Park North entrance. We arrived very late and the owner kept the restaurant open to make us some dinner. The breakfast was very tasty with several local specialties like meat buns, yoghurt pancakes, and their own free-range chicken eggs. It all appealed even to our Westerner taste buds! Our favorite breakfast of the trip! The property is not large, but it is very tidy and clean with a courtyard, lawn, paved walkways and lounging areas. The room was exceptionally clean as well - clean floors, clean bathroom and clean white sheets (which is not always a guarantee...). We had a spacious 2-storey loft which our kids enjoyed. Of note - the stairs are very steep to the loft. The beds were quite hard (something we have already come to expect in China), so we used one of the comforters as extra padding. While it was nearly +25 degrees outside, the air conditioning worked great. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and definitely recommend!

Overall, this was a very mixed experience. There were so many things I genuinely loved about this place, but unfortunately one major issue completely changed our stay. The hotel is a family-run property in the middle of the grasslands, and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The owners were incredibly kind, making us feel at home right away. My son even spent time playing with the owner's child, sharing toys and feeding the goats on their small farm. It was a lovely, authentic experience that made our stay feel very personal. The accommodation itself is made up of traditional yurt-style tents, which are charming and full of character. Our tent had a comfortable double bed for my wife and me, plus a single bed for our son. The bed was comfortable, the view was beautiful, and one feature we especially enjoyed was the skylight in the roof. It can be opened and closed with a remote control, allowing you to look up at the stars at night, which creates a truly magical atmosphere. The tent was also equipped with air conditioning and heating, making it comfortable in different weather conditions. The bathroom was relatively new, although it had a few minor plumbing issues, but nothing that significantly affected our stay. The owners also recommended a nearby horse ranch just next to the hotel, where we enjoyed a wonderful horseback riding experience. Since we went in the evening after the busiest hours, we paid only 80 RMB for two horses for our family of three for a 30-minute ride, accompanied by friendly local guides. It was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Another outstanding feature is the restaurant next to the hotel. The food was simply exceptional. We had grilled goat ribs that were honestly the best I've ever eaten. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly cooked. The service was fast, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was a wonderful place to enjoy dinner with my family after a day exploring the grasslands. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this hotel has nothing to do with the hotel itself—it is the evening entertainment throughout the surrounding area. Every night there are outdoor shows with bonfires, performances, and group activities, which are enjoyable and create a lively atmosphere. Fireworks and other entertainment are also fun for families and children. However, once the shows end, the music becomes unbearably loud. It is so loud that many guests were covering their ears, and even children were uncomfortable standing nearby. The hotel's own entertainment ended around 10:00 p.m., which would have been acceptable. The real problem was that several neighboring hotels continued blasting extremely loud music until around 11:00 p.m. or later. Because these beautiful yurt tents provide very little sound insulation, the noise travels directly inside the rooms. At one point I had to call Ctrip customer service, and the music outside was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other while I was inside the tent. I actually had to move into the bathroom just to have a conversation. After driving more than 500 kilometers that day, we had chosen this destination to relax, enjoy nature, and experience the peace and quiet of the grasslands. Instead, it felt like being next to an outdoor nightclub. We had originally planned to stay for two nights, possibly even three, but after the first night we decided to cancel the remaining night and move to a hotel closer to the city simply so we could get some proper rest. It was disappointing because everything else about this place had exceeded our expectations. I don't believe this is entirely the responsibility of this hotel's owners. They were wonderful hosts, and everything they personally managed was excellent. However, I do think there needs to be better coordination among all the nearby hotels. I can’t recommend Stars Pasture (Xingchen Muju) enough. It truly exceeded all our expectations. We took our family to Huitengxile Grassland, and even before we arrived, we felt the owner’s kindness. He personally came out to help with our luggage and asked about our breakfast preferences for the next day. During our chat, he also shared great tips on nearby activities, which made planning much easier. The deluxe room we booked was much more spacious than we expected, with endless grassland right outside the door. Watching horses and cattle graze in front of our window was amazing. The room was very well equipped. The hairdryer worked well, hot water was plentiful, and they even provided disposable towels, which made everything feel extra clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and cozy, and at night, we could see the beautiful starry sky right from the window. The food was absolutely amazing. The lamb tripe soup in the morning was rich, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. I ended up having several bowls! For dinner, we ordered roasted lamb chops and other local specialties, and everything was delicious. My whole family loved it. You definitely don’t have to worry about food here; the quality is excellent. Plus, the Huanghuagou Scenic Area and other attractions are very close by, so there’s plenty to explore. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The place is clean, the food is fantastic, and most importantly, the owner’s genuine hospitality made us feel at home. We’re very grateful for how well he took care of us during our visit, and we would come back again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the grassland! 这家“星辰牧居”真的给了我太多惊喜，必须狠狠夸一下！ 这次带家人来辉腾锡勒草原，从还没进门就感受到了老板的细心周到。老板不仅主动来帮忙搬行李，还很贴心地问了我们第二天的早餐喜好，聊天的过程中还给我们推荐了附近好玩的项目，处处都安排得很妥当。 我选的精品大床房，出乎意料地大，门口就是一望无际的大草原。放眼望去能看到成群的牛马悠闲地吃草。设施设备齐全，吹风机风量足，热水出水很快，不会出现排队等洗澡的情况。用的还是一次性浴巾和毛巾，干净卫生特别放心。床品软乎乎的，晚上躺在暖暖的被窝里，还能看到漫天璀璨的星空，这种体验太惬意了。 再说说这家的美食，我印象最深的就是早上的羊杂汤，鲜香暖胃，我一口气炫了好几碗。晚餐我们点了烤羊排、手把肉等特色菜，色香味俱全，家人们都赞不绝口。顺便提一句，来这儿玩完全不用担心没好东西吃，餐厅出品水准超级在线。周围还有很多游玩的地方，很近黄花沟景区。 总的来说，这次住宿我们全家都非常满意，酒店设施整洁、人好、食物好，老板的用心经营更是让我们感受到了家一般的温暖，下次有机会一定还会再来！真诚推荐给每一位来草原游玩的朋友们，选这儿准没错！

We stayed here to enjoy the unobstructed view of the volcano and to experience the space-themed rooms. Visiting during the low season at the end of March, we didn't expect to be the only guests, but despite that, we received exceptional treatment. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was beautifully prepared, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. The night views were absolutely spectacular and truly made our trip memorable. Although the location is about 1.5 hours from town, we were glad we chose this place for its unique charm and stunning scenery. We would wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers visiting the area. Additionally, there's a large spa / hot springs just a few meters away to relax and make the stay extra special! Again, would highly recommend.

A short ride from the train station. The hotel room was clean, spacious and reasonably well appointed. Facilities are basic, and the immediate area isn't terribly exciting, but all told it's a good value proposition.

The staff is very kind and professional, the hotel is fancy, clean, beautiful. My problem was the extremely high temperature in my room. I couldn't adjust it at all, I was sweating all night. I don't know why some hotels in Inner Mongolia (I never experienced this in Yunnan, Sichuan and Shaanxi) turn on the heater so much. The other disturbing thing was the lights that automatically turn on as soon as I set a foot on the floor. I see no need of such things, they just keep me awake. If I need some light, I can turn it on myself. The town seemed to be pretty dead, only one shop was open at 7 pm. It wasn't so far away, so it's all right. Anyway, it's a hotel that accepts foreigners without problems, so I'm glad I stayed here.

Absolutely wonderful experience! This lovely family went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. They spoke English, helped me with everything I needed, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The bonfire in the evening was unforgettable, the views were breathtaking, and they even let me ride their bikes to explore the beautiful surrounding area. What stood out most was their kindness and generosity, they treated me like part of the family from the moment I arrived. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The family, the hospitality, the atmosphere and everything was simply amazing. I highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience.

You can get to the hotel by taxi from Wulanchabu station, but be ready there are no cars back. Take care of your back route in advance. The owner is super nice person who helped to get to the volcanoes and was solving a transportation issue for me, as I came to Inner Mongolia without a car 🫣. The room was very nice. The house is located on the edge of complex with extraordinary view of volcano 3. I saw different animals from windows: cows, sheep, camels, rabbits, horses and birds. It was a great stay. The room was clean, the host is super nice, the volcanoes are incredible. It was warm in the room, you can also ask for a heater. Water was hot in the boiler, coffee and water were for free. Loved my stay, will come again.

The room was fairly comfortable and the service was really great. But we kept finding little beetles in our room which made me so itchy at night when sleeping. Also I don’t think they cleaned the floor because we found fake eyelashes and old contact lens on the bathroom floor which was very nasty. They have a washing machine available which was very convenient especially after spending a day in the volcanoes where it’s dusty and all our clothes were dirty. Breakfast was alright…typical inner Mongolian breakfast, nothing special. There’s actually no volcano view but it didn’t really matter much. We were on the second floor and it was nice to be up there. I wish they had better soundproofing windows because every night there’s fireworks and they were so loud and went on until midnight. With a young child, it was impossible to sleep early. Overall, the service was really great!

A wonderful and memorable experience in the grassland especially when the hosts are ever so friendly, helpful, and so hospitable. With their warm welcome and kind hospitality we felt like home. They upgraded our room for free so that we could experience staying inside a yurt. We are extremely touched by their generosity, too. We had a bonfire night too and enjoyed the fireworks on the Saturday night. The restaurant in this resort serves well-cooked, sumptuous meals at a reasonable price, considering that they are some 42km away from the nearest town, ZhuoZi Shan. Highly recommended to stay here as the environment is comfortable and peaceful. Although the water is not good for drinking, there are bottled drinks / water available at the grocery shops. Hair dryer, shampoo, soap are all provided too.
