I am a solo female traveler from America. The owner and family took wonderful care of me. As if I were their family and not just a guest. The owner drove me to the Mao scenic area, helped me find the ticket area, and returned later to take me home. Then he later drove me to a restaurant for dinner, where I also met his cute dog Wang Wang, and afterwards took me to the evening musical performance about Mao. Which was great to see even not speaking Chinese. My departure train was late in the afternoon but they allowed me to just rest in the hotel lounge and garden. Gave me tea, fruit, and cake while I waited. Even offered to drive me to the train! So friendly. So kind. And hotel room was VERY comfortable. Stay here! Ps. I recommend using WeChat to communicate with the host if you don’t speak Chinese. Made things so easy.

在湘鄉來説，這個酒店很不錯。很乾凈，很衞生。地段也不錯，對面是小童樂園和森林公園。 周圍吃飯稍微要走一段路，算是新城，也能夠接受。 周圍也安靜，不吵鬧。 總體感覺很不多。服務員很熱情，周到。

Great family-run hotel, they made me feel so welcome and helped sort out for me a trip to the outdoor theatre show, transport there and seeing all the historical sites to see there, all within walking distance. The serve really good food there whenever you want it! The family was really friendly and I got on really well with them and when I left the father drove me to the train station and the whole family jumped in to join me for the ride!

房間整潔明亮，老闆待人熱情真誠，超出了我的預期。 床鋪特別舒適，印象特別深刻的是，結束白天的行程回到潤基民宿，老闆一邊陪我們聊天，一邊在整理摺疊洗凈曬乾後的床單被套枕頭枕套。 下次來，還會再選潤基。 另：潤基民宿的家庭餐也很不錯，可選套餐也可單點菜。 我們一大家定了6間房，在潤基民宿住了2晚，非常滿意。

I seldom share my experiences in Chinese hotels. That is a mistake. China’s hotels are among the world’s most comfortable and reasonably priced.  I am now in the home of chairman Mao and staying at the very comfortable Jianguo hotel. After arriving in  Shaoshan  (over 38 years since my last visit), I have been overwhelmed by the friendliness of the local people and the staff at the Jianguo hotel.  In what may be called one of the more politically important destinations in China, I have found open arms and smiles. My American friends can learn something from this. I am clearly not a local but, even during this time of geopolitical tension, I am receiving nothing less than genuine  friendship, no animosity, and this makes me feel optimistic. I hope that we in the United States can learn from the Chinese people’s example. Thank you, everybody at the Jianguo Hotel. including Liu Zheng who personally took me to Chairman Mao’s residence this morning.  He offered to do this while eating dinner in the hotel restaurant last night (please try the 香椿拌豆腐). He introduced me to the park’s director and facilitated everything to make this visit so special. Liu Jingli just treated me to lunch and is driving  me to the train station. This kind of service I’ve never received before in my hundred plus countries and I think that it is important that we share these stories with the outside world. This hospitality, too, is an essential part of China. (I would argue it is even more real than the news stories we receive out of Washington DC.) Chairman Mao’s home will forever echo with not just memories of the past but optimism of a more respectful and inclusive future.

在這住了兩天，值得深度遊玩，離毛爺爺故居、銅像廣場、生生平展等核心景點都很近，步行可達，附近有環保車站點，去其他景點也方便。老闆也是毛家人，聽了很多逸聞趣事，老闆娘是愛乾淨的人，衞生打掃的很好，有一次性床墊👍🏻住過民宿裏最省心的一次了，下次有機會再來！

2026年5月22日下午三點十九分剛結束和合作方的第一輪洽談，我拖着貼滿航空公司託運標簽的24寸行李箱走進提前預訂的商務酒店，大堂裏淺灰色大理石枱麪擦得鋥亮，空氣中飄着淡淡的白茶香氛，前台辦理入住的效率很高，刷身份證不到三分鐘就拿到了房卡，進房間後首先映入眼簾的是整面落地窗正對着城市中央商務區的景觀，米色的辦公桌椅擺在窗邊，桌面上提前放好了印着酒店logo的筆記本和按動式中性筆，旁邊的嵌入式書桌下還預留了適配筆記本電腦的充電接口，床頭邊的智能面板可以一鍵調節燈光亮度和窗簾開合，衞生間裏乾濕分離的設計做得很到位，定製的洗護套裝旁還放着一次性剃鬚套裝和漱口水，整體環境整潔又兼顧實用性，剛好能滿足接下來三天出差處理工作的需求

The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. I would definitely recommend this place! 谢谢你们对我们的悉心照顾!

Overall, it is good. However, I faced some issues. Cleanness is an issue. Several items in the room are not functioning properly, and there are no basic facilities available. For example, no packet of coffee is provided. The overnight robe/dress was not clean and appeared to have been used by someone else before being returned to me. There were also unpleasant smells around the room/building.

這次入住整體體驗十分舒心，從進門辦理入住到離店，全程都能感受到工作人員細緻貼心的服務。前台接待態度温和，辦理流程乾脆利落，有疑問都會耐心解答，效率很高，沒有長時間等候。客房內部打掃得很乾凈，地面、桌面都整潔清爽，床品柔軟乾爽，躺上去休息很放鬆。房間通風效果不錯，沒有異味，衞浴區域打理到位，熱水出水穩定，洗漱用品齊全好用。整體佈局合理，燈光亮度剛剛好，住起來讓人覺得踏實舒服。整體性價比高值得推薦
