The entire property was impeccably clean, making my stay even more enjoyable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. They went the extra mile by offering assistance proactively—whether guiding me or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Their attentiveness added a personal touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest. I was also deeply impressed by their honesty and efficiency. When I realized I had left an item behind, I called the hotel, and 小徐 (Xiao Xu) at the front desk confirmed within seconds that it had been safely kept. She even arranged for it to be delivered to me the very next day—such outstanding service! Thanks to this wonderful experience, I will definitely choose Mercure hotels again in the future. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making my stay so delightful!

PPengguna TetamuCame primarily to see the red-crowned cranes, this place is the perfect stay if you're also here for the same purpose. Walking distance to the nature reserve. Located in a nicely renovated arts village, which is lovely to walk around (even has an art exhibit building). The room I got was different from the one I initially booked but it was great. Extremely clean and good facilities. Only problem is that the room is perhaps a little too spacious for warm air to circulate evenly, it got cold even with the heater on. No takeout nearby as the place is remote, but the one open restaurant in the village had delicious meals, great prices, and friendly staff. Portion sizes were absurdly big so you really get value for your money haha. Front desk is located in the cool-looking hut/visitor center, staff was helpful with everything throughout!

TTime Traveller123This wasn’t my first time staying in Mingcheng Jinjiang hotel but I must say this time they reminded me how great they are.. I contacted them in advance asking them if they will provide temporary residence registration form. They were super professional especially Sandy Li, who made sure the form was ready. Check-in was smooth and quick, car parking was super convenient. Hotel room was clean and spacious. I asked for a bottle of water, they sent 3 bottles. They were amazing throughout my stay there. It’s a pity I missed breakfast both days as I woke up late hahaha.. but overall an amazing experience.. will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Yancheng.

PPengguna TetamuMy 2nd time in Dongtai, 1st time in Leida hotel. It looked good on the website. 1st impressions were good. Even though the staff spoke very limited English they checked me in efficiently (I do speak some Chinese but if you don't it's okay). The rooms are a good size and the big picture windows give great views over the public lake/park. the only downside was the faint aroma of stale cigarette smoke in the room but this is China and unfortunately to be expected. The downside was the breakfast was very Chinese and though I love the cuisine here I'm not a lover of Chinese breakfast. It would have been better if the cook knew how to make fried eggs in different styles than just solid yokes and they invested in a good coffee machine. The coffee was in a flask....and was white....I didn't even try the bit I poured into a cup. The positive is Wuyue Plaza is a 10 minute stroll and has a Starbucks and MacDonalds! I had a look at the gym and pool. Gym was 10 yuan, pool was 40. Both looked okay. The hotel grounds needed a bit of a tidy up but were okay. I couldn't find direct access into the lake/park area but then I was only there 2 nights. The big convenience was Wuyue Plaza. The top floor was restaurants. A decent selection. Towards the back on the outside walking street was a decent little bar (Black Vine). Nice manager, 8 craft beer taps, lots of bottled beer. Yes, I'd stay here again as it suited my purpose.

The rooms are clean, and very comfortable, designed for complete relaxation, with large windows that bring nature into the space. A major highlight is the thermal water, perfect for unwinding and recharging, adding an extra layer of wellness to the overall experience. That said, it’s worth noting that the spa and massage services were not available during this period, which may be a drawback for guests specifically seeking those facilities. Overall, Yihe Lakeside Homestay remains an excellent choice for travelers looking for beautiful scenery, a calm retreat, and a truly photogenic stay, where time seems to slow down.

JJoseph Gray BaileyI really enjoyed this hotel--great value for the condition/location of the rooms. They are more like apartments in houses. The hotel and surrounding area is very clean, quiet, and beautiful especially at night with the lights. The hotel staff was very helpful in picking me up late at night as well as ensuring I got a taxi and got to the train station when I checked out. Xiao Xue, who works at the front desk, even accompanied me to the train station an hour's drive away in Yancheng. She also made sure my belongings were stored from noon-6pm after I checked out and was exploring the area. Two of the other front desk also helped me as well. As the location of the hotel is quite rural, I would recommend getting a taxi from the front desk well ahead of your departure time if you are leaving by bus or train.
