Ia hanya lima hingga sepuluh minit dari Stesen Bandar Takayama, yang sangat mudah Anda boleh pergi ke pasar raya dalam masa 5 hingga 10 minit. Hotel ini mempunyai kemudahan yang lengkap, termasuk dispenser air, mesin kopi, ketuhar gelombang mikro, dll. Patut dipuji ialah rumah mandian air panas di tingkat sembilan (satu untuk lelaki dan satu untuk lelaki). Mata air panas dibahagikan kepada mata air panas, mata air panas sejuk dan mata air panas separa terbuka. Berendam di mata air panas dan hilangkan keletihan dari perjalanan yang jauh!

Kakitangan tidak boleh berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan bahasa Inggeris. Kami menjumpai gulungan tisu dengan beberapa kotoran seperti benda di atasnya. Kakitangan hanya datang dan bertukar dengan yang lain. Ia mengerikan. Sangat menyedihkan kerana kami telah menggunakan gulungan tisu berwarna ini sepanjang hari.

Super conveniently located just next to Takayama Station and right beside the Nohi Bus Terminal, making it an excellent base for getting around especially by public transport to Shirakawa go or Toyama or Nagoya. Unlike many hotels in Japan with compact room sizes, this hotel offers a more spacious setup, complete with a kitchen, cooking utensils, and even a washer-dryer — perfect for longer stays or added comfort. It is also within easy walking distance to Miyagawa Morning Market and Takayama Old Town, with plenty of Hida beef restaurants nearby for a great local dining experience.

It’s a very nice place, 3mins walk from Nohi bus station. Very aesthetic Japanese layout, each room are themed with different Japanese cultures. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful and can’t complaint about the level of service.

The room was very spacious, fresh, and clean. It also comes with a kitchen and access to a laundry room. We would definitely stay here again next time. Free parking is available (you can access the parking lot directly through the hotel’s back entrance instead of walking around to the front traffic light). The location is convenient, and the service is excellent.

Clean and comfortable hotel situated in a remote location. Check-in was efficient, and the rooms are nicely designed and new. The downside is that there are no convenient stores or restaurants nearby, so you’ll have to rely on their snack bar at the lobby if you’d like anything to eat in the middle of the night. There are also a limited amount of parking spaces on the premises, on a first-come-first-served basis

The room was quite small but all the amenities is good. there's onsen (which i didnt explore) but you can basically monitor everything from the tv, to check if the laundry is currently used or if the onsen is crowded. theres free drink and food upon arrival. and the front desk can speak english 😁 anddddd theres family mart in front of the hotelllllll. with parking some more and not that far from hida town.

This was such a lovely place to stay. The room was nice and spacious, allowing us to feel at home. Not only were we taken care of by means of beautiful breakfast and dinner, but the staff were extremely helpful when we talked to them about hiking in Kamokochi. I would highly recommend booking this place especially with a meal plan, since it was nice to have food sorted after Hiking all day.

Our stay at Ryokan Gizan was a truly memorable experience. This is a traditionally built and decorated Japanese ryokan, with tatami floors, sliding doors, and an authentic atmosphere that makes you feel fully immersed in Japanese culture. It’s definitely a “must-visit” if you’re looking to experience traditional Japanese accommodation — even a short stay of 2–3 nights is enough to make it special. The ryokan is quite old, which actually adds to its authentic charm, though it might feel a bit less comfortable for more demanding guests. That said, it’s very well maintained and everything is clean and thoughtfully arranged. The onsen facilities were excellent — one public bath and four private ones that you can use freely. After long days of exploring, it was a real treat. We highly recommend booking with the traditional dinner included. The meals were a highlight: we had Yakiniku the first night and Shabu-shabu the second, both featuring fresh, generous portions of delicious food. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese set — beautifully presented and made with care, though not quite to our personal taste. The location is stunning — surrounded by mountains, rivers, and blossoming trees. It feels peaceful and remote. Just note that amenities like ATMs or grocery stores are limited nearby. However, it’s well connected by bus (just a 3-minute walk from the ryokan), which can take you to Kamikochi or the terminals at Takayama and Hirayu Onsen. Buses run about once an hour, so it’s quite manageable. Overall, a fantastic stay — relaxing, unique, and highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a more traditional and scenic side of Japan.
