PPengguna TetamuWe had a great 2 nights stay at this Ryokan. Location was near Yufuin Floral Village, and around 20 mins walk from Yufuin JR station. It was a nice walk to Yufuin JR station as there were many shops and eateries that you can visit along the way. Alternatively, there is also bus 36 from Yufuin but terminal that would stop near to the ryokan.
The staff were really outstanding, friendly and helpful. When we arrived, a couple of them rushed to help us with our luggage and to also shelter us from the rain. During the entire stay, they made us feel very welcomed.
The Western/Japanese room that we booked was very spacious and had all the amenities we required. Note that this is a 2 storey living area - level 1 had a bathroom with private indoor and outdoor onsen as well as the living room, while level 2 had a toilet (w/o bath) and 1 western bedroom as well as 1 Japanese bedroom.
There are 4 public onsen in the ryokan. 2 for female and 2 for male. They would rotate it during the day and night to allow everyone to try out the different onsen.
We also had our breakfast and dinner at the ryokan as part of the package. The dishes were different on both days. The spread was huge and food tasted great. Note that there are very few places open at Yufuin during dinner time.

半山腰的位置雖需專車來回，可推開車門的瞬間，滿目翠意裹挾着山風撲來——比山下遼闊數倍的風景，讓奔波都成了值得！
每間和室都藏着治癒細節：榻榻米泛着温潤光澤，私湯暖烘烘泡開整日疲憊；推開小露台/花園，山霧、樹影、鳥鳴成了私人佈景，連呼吸都染上草木香。
「一泊兩吃」更是戳中我心！早餐包間裏，晨光透過障子窗灑在和果子上，茶霧裊裊配熱粥，儀式感拉滿；晚餐換處私密包廂，懷石料理精緻到每寸擺盤，當季鮮貨在舌尖跳着圓舞曲，一口就忘不掉山野靈氣～
最驚喜是兩間私人湯屋（需提前約）！泡露天池時，山谷全景鋪展眼前，暮色漫過山巒、星子綴滿夜空，連時光都慢成了詩。
全程服務像“隱形的温柔”：店員輕聲問詢、及時添水，卻從不過度打擾；全店僅十數間房，小而美的奢華感裏，每處都透着對客人的珍視。
想逃離喧囂、把自己泡進自然與温柔裏？這家“藏在半山的寶藏旅館”，閉着眼沖都不會錯✨

PPengguna TetamuIs a good experience, I liked the Japanese style of it, the location is good, away from the Main Street for around 5mins walking distance. There is a local supermarket near by.
staffs can’t speak other languages but Japanese we used Google translate which worked well. I stayed 2 nights, breakfast and dinner were very good too.

I only stayed for one night and now I wish I had stayed longer. It was a Friday so Rio, the owner, organizes a night of games at the public gymnasium for teenagers (who although growing up already have the strength of super-powered samurais) and whoever else wants to participate. I haven't run and wake up with so many bruises since high school! It was really cool how everyone is quick to set the props for each game, we played 4 or 5 games in one hour!!!! It felt like a much longer time, everyone gave their best presence and participation all the time! It seems the other nights he takes everyone for a walk to see the stars, and Tuesdays there's also volleyball. Anyways, he is pretty proactive and creative , so I'm sure there's many variations and possibilities!
The living room is very pretty, the sofas super comfortable and the view gorgeous!
The bed was very hard :/ this was the only big issue for me.
The onsen is so cozy, the water super smooth and instrumental music playing. Delicious! The conditioner smells great!
I was a bit worried that they had too many rules, because when I contacted they informed about the need to leave the house everyday from 10 until 16. And that the eating time was very specific: 7:20 in the morning and 7 at night...
So I was worried they would be too strict...but there's no need to join the food. I had breakfast and it felt like it would be at the communal dinning of beauxbatons, everyone sitting closeby with identical very beautifully presented meals that come in many quantity but small portions. It is not my jam, but for sure it is special!
Some informations could be a bit more clear because they are a bit slow responding. For example they have a pick up time in front of the army at 6pm.
I asked info for an amazing lady at the Art Center inside the station, Chika, and she called them. She ended up taking me herself and was the best company I could have found! She is an artist, we went to the supermarket and had great conversation! I recommend going to the art center to say hi to Chika!

KKa Yan一泊二食的温泉旅館,房間內有私人温泉很方便,相對而言公眾浴池不算太大,但不多人.當天早上去時沒有人,也是很舒服的享受了戶外温泉的樂趣.房間是傳統日式風格,很舒服,也很衛生.員工不太會說英文,但會盡力用手機翻譯等方法與客人溝通,基本上是沒有問題的.
食物是用心預備的,但晚餐不是太合自己口味,反而早餐有驚喜.還有免費冰棒,温泉蛋及啤酒.位置距車站步行20分鐘較遠,但到湯布院基本上都會逛湯之坪街,如果是由湯之坪街步行過去,算10分鐘路程還是可以的. Check out時間到12點很好,上午早餐後回房間還可再享受早上的温泉時間才離開.
總體而言是十分滿意的住宿體驗,好好享受了温泉的樂趣,下次到湯布院會再次考慮入住的.

PPengguna TetamuAbout 10 to 15 mins walk from the train station. Very quite and serene environment. From hotel to walk to the lake 20 mins, floral village etc you can easily spends hours to enjoy the scenery, lunch and shopping streets.
Big and spacious onsen, the outdoor one is nice. The view from onsen and room face Mt Yufu...very relaxing and nice breakfast.

Suggested to book the shuttle before arrive and depart the hotel since it is in a remoted area. It takes around 10 mins by taxi to go from the train station.

PPengguna Tetamu第一次到由布院，謝謝雅格拉為我們留下美好的回憶……
先說優點…，即便返回台灣已經2週，仍對雅格拉和由布院念念不忘！服務人員親切，其中有一位外籍工作人員 英文非常流利！溝通很順利。房間空間雖然不大，但保持著日式古樸的氛圍，我個人很喜歡！連保險箱都還是木製鑰匙鎖！很有趣！家裡長輩也很融入。總共房間不多，因此還保有私密感，很驚喜！溫泉的部分 因為天氣太冷，房間內露天的湯池我沒有嘗試，但大眾湯池還不錯！最最最重要的是 他們家的餐點太優秀了！
我們續住兩晚，每天都能品嚐到不同款式 精緻又美味的餐點！第一天是燒肉，第二天火鍋，肉品、烤魚、日式涼菜 完全沒有雷（納豆除外，只是不習慣而已）！連長輩都讚不絕口！走的時候買了好幾包他們特製的味增回家！乾煎魚排的時候搭配 太好吃了！！所以每天最期待的就是用餐時間！餐點是我住過的溫泉旅館中的top！給予五星評價！
優點說完來說缺點，由於我們有包車，所以交通于我們而言並不是問題，但如果是自己搭大衆交通出行，可能會比較不便，在山上的位置距離由布院鬧區有段距離，開車大概5～10分鐘。其次房間內沒有提供飲水，我們每天早餐時間都會拿著水壺請工作人員幫我們裝滿再帶回。最後就是大衆湯池的部分，由於我們一家有5位女性，人數較多，都會乾脆一起去洗浴，發現的問題也較多！例如 梳理的地方只有一台吹風機！沒有提供毛巾，必須從房間帶，還要再帶回去；沒有提供飲水，泡澡結束後口渴就回房間再補充水分；沒有暖氣，所以一出浴場非常冷！穿衣服要盡快，我們有長輩、有嬰兒要照顧，更加要速度……甚至還有日本人在裡面使用手機！這個我真的很不解！只能用蹩腳的日語請她收起來，這是連我們都知道的常識……所以我們後來就決定晚一點再去大眾池，大概8：00過後就幾乎包場，順利了一些，也留下很特別的回憶！
以上是分享，如果下次還是單獨自由行，還會想回到雅格拉，但如果有長輩和小寶寶，建議還是選擇浴室在房間內的比較方便！總歸來說還是很值得的！謝謝雅格拉親切的招待！
