The hotel is located a bit south to the moalboal town center (approx. 10min by tutuk or motorbike) and away from the main road. You’ll need to cross a bridge made of bamboo sticks first to find your entrance. It’s a quiet place where you can only hear the nature and your own thoughts.
I’d highly recommend the restaurant because they offer great food at a reasonable price, although takes some time to serve so order in advance. Kudos to the owners who are almost always present and will come to the table to introduce themselves and make recommendations if needed. Staff are well-trained and very helpful.
You’ll also get the chance to observe some of the wildlife species like birds and lizards while staying there, which is a plus for me.
A 10/10 experience. Don’t miss it if you enjoy some peace and quiet in the nature.

PPengguna Tetamu1000% recommend. Probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. I booked an extra day when I was there as it was so chill and easy to relax in. Dorm rooms and showers was super clean and comfortable. Every staff member was so lovely and welcoming and easy to talk to and always went out of their way to help you. They also know people by name which is so nice when there is so many guests, just such a family friendly vibe. The pool and swim up bar was a plus. Free tea, coffee and a water dispenser available all day. Thank you for such a pleasant stay and hopefully will come back one day!

Отель находится в нескольких минах ходьбы от дайвинг центров и 15 минут на тук-туке до пляжа. В номере есть полотенца, удобная кровать, кондиционер, туалетные принадлежности, фен. Горячая вода ( в моём московском понимании этого слова) была, но не всегда. В гостинице есть правило, что в номере нельзя пить. На территории отеля находится симпатичный и удобный бар с пивом/коктейлями. Очень приветливые ребята из персонала. Из минусов - рядом ведётся стройка, начинается она в 8 утра..

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, sea shore and many dive and activity places yet away from the main crowded areas.
We stayed in a twin room and a family room. The twin room's facilities were good with convenient storage space with in the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was super clean and spacious. The room was very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning, the fan was very noisy though.
The family room was had a little bit more ”worn out” feel with less storage space for the clothes and none in the (small) bathroom. Fortunately we were only two persons staying in that room, it would have been more difficult to comfortably accommodate 4 persons in this room. The room and bathroom were clean, the AC efficient (noisy fan here as well).
The breakfast options were simple but ok, convenient for a quick breakfast before you go to activities. There are plenty of other options available around though. We did not try the restaurant for lunch or diner.

AAlexRJGreat experience overall; the hotel is in a quiet area, but close enough to the restaurants and bars area; service is always friendly and helpful. Just need a motorbike ride or a tricycle. Facilities are clean, and are spacious and lovely, with a nice restaurant and the beach just downstairs. We didn’t try the dive, but the snorkeling in the turtle bay was fun. Delicious and abundant breakfast too. Rooms are clean, cozy and the AC and wifi work perfect.
As for the things to improve, we ran out of water the first night, and the water pressure is just so so. We also found most of services a bit costy compared with prices in town -food, transportation, dive services,etc.-. Other than that, it was a great experience that I’d recommend.

PPengguna TetamuMy fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Orchid, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a view of the ocean over the treetops. It felt peaceful and private — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for.
The staff were exceptional — so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They helped me plan a surprise proposal for my fiancé, offering suggestions for the perfect location and ultimately arranging for us to use their private rooftop. They also coordinated a romantic dinner there just for us, ensuring we had complete privacy. It was an unforgettable evening, and I’m so grateful for the care they put into making it so special.
The resort arranged our transportation both from our previous hotel in Mactan and later to Cebu Pier 1, which made travel stress-free. We also booked canyoneering and an introductory scuba dive through them. The instructors were fantastic — very patient and reassuring, especially when I became nervous underwater and couldn’t finish the dive.
While the resort is a bit removed from the busier Panagsama Beach area, that was a huge plus for us. We wanted somewhere quiet, scenic, and romantic, and Blue Orchid delivered exactly that.
The restaurant doesn’t have a massive menu, but the food was consistently delicious, portions were perfect, and prices were very fair. Even though there wasn’t a kettle in the room, hot water, coffee and tea was readily available and it was never an inconvenience since everything was close by.
We also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed — it added to the tropical charm, though we didn’t need it because insects were never an issue. We even spotted a tiny gecko in our room upon arrival, but it was harmless and quickly disappeared — just part of the island’s character!
Overall, the Blue Orchid was everything we hoped for: quiet, romantic, and welcoming. The staff helped make one of the most meaningful moments of our lives absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it, especially to LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a peaceful and genuinely inclusive place to stay in Moalboal. When we do a return trip to the area, we will stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuLoved the property and the beach. Best snorkeling we did in Moalboal was direct from the resort and we saw turtles and lots of starfish and marine life. The lifeguard Frankie went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing snorkeling experience. Also enjoyed the pool and the location worked perfectly for us as it was away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to hit the town for dinner each night. Plus, White Beach is a 5 minute paddle away on the kayak. Would definitely come back again

BBarry9012The good is that it was very clean and more accessible by car than many of the hotels in town. The bad is that there was no hot water because the outlet for the water heater shower was broken. They also had a menu of things you could buy but then they were out of most things. I spoke to another guest and they had the same complaints. We are also used to blankets with the bed, but only a sheet was provided.

I never stay around these hotels much to make the most of the facilities but it's here if you want it.
Nice room and very clean.
Near the bus stop but a bit of a walk to the ***** where all the bars and restaurants are.
Most people have a scooter anyway so you won't get any better for the money they charge here. 8/10
