Hotel muito bom para ficar hospedado, seja para uma escapadinha ou para uma estadia durante um maior período de tempo. Fornece uma experiência agradável. Comodidades muito boas, decoração bonita, boa limpeza, funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis. Quartos espaçosos e cama confortável. Zona do spa, piscina, jacuzzi, etc, é agradável. Pequeno-almoço bom e variado e o jantar buffet é ótimo, com várias opções e comida saborosa.

We stayed for four nights in a king room and returned for one night to a standard room on our way home both were excellent , Check in was so pleasant nothing was a problem stored our cases for 12 days while we visited islands ,Welcome drink is a nice touch and personal card in room each time . Off street parking ,really nice pool with towels available at reception ,lounge off reception with menu was our stop for lunch . Breakfast was perfect lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Outside was repainted while we were staying and looks great, you can see the management are investing and improving the hotel and when you walk in reception lounge/bar has a real fresh feel . Hotel is well located at the end of the sea front and a short walk to plenty of good restaurants. Thanks to staff for a super stay and we will definitely return next year . Honestly couldn’t recommend hotel enough.

This hotel needs to do better with the service quality (or lack of) that they provide. At the front desk, as an example, the receptionist got annoyed because we asked for a receipt when we checked out. The welcoming wasn't friendly either, including not wanting to recommend a place to have dinner. The rooms don't have lotion. To iron your clothes, you must go to a house keeping room, because they don't allow irons in the room. The breakfast stuff rarely cleans the plate out of your table, even tho it's a buffet. The hotel is clean, and it has great location.

Whilst the hotel was very modern it seemed to lack basics such as a kettle in the room (there is a nespresso machine but for any tea drinkers out there they will know that making tea through a coffee machine is far from ideal) and being able to retrieve an iron. Instead you are expected to put items in for laundry when all we wanted to do was run an iron over a shirt for the evening.
Pool area is stunning however has the most uncomfortable loungers you could ever find. They look great but the max stay to bathe is less than an hour before your entire body goes numb.
It seems that this stunning hotel is trying to be a little above its star rating and failing on these few points at just trying that bit too hard for the clientele staying.
Rooms were very clean although signs of some wear and tear are already starting to show.
Location is EXCELLENT and staff helpful, polite and welcoming.
Not sure if we would stay again as we are real sun worshipers and really struggled to enjoy the pool area here.

Wonderful place in a perfect location! Short walk to restaurants, cafes and waterfront. Very clean room. Cute patio. Friendly, helpful staff. Cozy place for our family of 5. I would grade this more as a European 3* but it still offered good value considering it's location and standard of accommodation. We had to move rooms after a few days as our original room (502) faced some outlets that omitted a nasty smell of an evening which meant we could not sit out on the balcony - reception staff speak great English and thankfully managed to swap to new room. The pools (indoor and outdoor), steam room and sauna were great but jacuzzi needs servicing as only a couple of jets actually work and was very murky. Spa treatments very reasonable and very good. (Read a review saying you need to bring your own towels to use pools - this is not true, you can obtain pool towels from reception for EUR10 deposit.) Didn't use restaurant but bar staff were great and food was good (chips are crisps, not fries though!) Kitchenette is exactly that, two hobs, combi microwave and kettle - cooking a family meal for 5 was a challenge but doable with a camping style outlook! All in all a great budget friendly base for exploring the island or taking boat trips and being able to semi self cater.

The hotel should be on your must stay list. The location can’t be beat. A very short walk to the town centre for shops and restaurants. Our room was huge and very well appointed. The amenities were upscale and smelled fantastic. Plenty of room for closet space and storage. A bar fridge came in handy too. The staff are wonderful especially the man who worked the restaurant in the evenings. Well done.

This was my second wonderful stay at Herdade do Ananas. Staff manages to be both friendly and professional, and my strongest sense is that this hotel is extremely well managed and well maintained--it has every right to claim to be a polished boutique rural hotel. The property is spotless, and the outdoor common areas are being further improved through more plantings. Rooms are very comfortable with modern bathrooms and cozy beds. The location is not walkable to anything; you do need to either have a car or take taxis. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful, with eggs cooked to order. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent, particularly the hummus. Two small points for improvement. One, the coffee at breakfast is indeed poor quality, although I appreciate they serve it alongside hot milk and will bring a custom espresso. The in-room coffee is unfortunately instant. Secondly, they allow smoking and while I only saw ash trays, not smokers, on the balconies, this really has a dampening affect considering how the building and grounds are laid out. If one person did decide to smoke, it certainly would affect others in the vicinity.

Mosteiros Place was our second place to stay on our recent trip to Sao Miguel, before heading home. An extra bed was provided for our daughter in the living area, this was quite acceptable for us. The apartment was beautiful, clean, spacious and well appointed. Very private, quiet and relaxing. The view from the living area and bedroom was just stunning, allowing us to just gaze at the ocean and sunsets. A balcony to sit out on too. Huge bedroom and excellent bathroom. We asked for a kettle to supplement the coffee maker in our kitchen area, this was provided immediately. Breakfasts were ample and good choice. We left early on the final morning. The staff offered to provide food at the early hour for us.We declined as it was too early to eat, but the kind offer was there for us. The staff are what make this place special. So helpful and no rush, making you feel the most important person. All ladies that looked after us were super and so friendly. Car parking and easy access to the secure property. We found it easier to drive up the hill and turn around, then approach the entrance from the other direction due to the angle of the driveway, but this was no problem on the quiet road. Thank you for making us feel extremely welcome and giving us a relaxing end to our holiday.

PPengguna TetamuThis is a gem of a place. Superb choice. Staff are off the charts friendly and helpful. Apartment hotel. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which consisted, a bedroom, good size living room for two with kitchenette. Spotlessly clean, everything in great condition. Close to the town to walk in. Here's a tip - you will need a rental car to explore the island, and so you will need to park it at night. You can find spots to park after about 5:30 PM fairly close and free, near the hotel. In the morning and most of the day, parking can be challenging. But we always managed it. In the same street on the same side of the road, heading toward town, try the bar for a great deal. Beer and wine cheap and they do a very good burger and fries. we had a few nights in there. Friendly people, cheap meal. The Casa do Contador will not disappoint. 100% happy.

PPengguna TetamuNesta nova visita à ilha de São Miguel optei por um alojamento na parte norte da ilha, onde existe uma variedade de novos alojamentos. Confesso que a reserva foi feita unicamente através das fotos fornecidas pelo alojamento, não tendo lido nenhum testemunho de antigos hóspedes. No momento da reserva, verifiquei que o valor pedido pelo pequeno almoço era elevado, não tendo por isso optado por essa opção. Horas antes de realizar o check-in recebi uma mensagem do alojamento a informar os códigos de acesso ao alojamento. É um processo simples, embora ache que a porta de entrada nem sempre abre com facilidade. Aproveito para referir que existe uma porta de acesso ao jardim/piscina (e por consequência aos alojamentos do rés do chão) que esteve sempre aberta durante a noite. Creio que em termos de segurança dos hóspedes deveriam verificar/rectificar esta situação. Relativamente ao estúdio com dois quartos, pareceu-me muito bem inicialmente, mas verificou-se que era muito quente durante a noite, sem possibilidade de abrir a janela para a rua (pelo menos eu não consegui). Para uma estadia de 3 noites, penso que os produtos de higiene não foram suficientes. Apesar da simpatia e disponibilidade de quem nos enviou as mensagens de boas vindas, lamento que em toda a nossa estadia apenas tenhamos tido contacto presencial com a funcionária (ou dona) do alojamento no momento que efectuamos o check-out (penso eu por mero acaso). Este alojamento tem todas as condições para melhorar e ser uma referência, no entanto não posso dar uma avaliação superior tendo em conta outros locais onde já estive hospedado, tendo em conta a mesma gama de preços.

EEdmicoThis is a great hotel in the centre of everything. I would class it as a boutique hotel with a lot of character including an open landing with seating area and library. I used the top pool area quite a bit in the mornings and it was generally quiet. The gym is there too and was being upgraded with new equipment when I was there. Breakfast was the usual tasty fair and a good way to set up the day. I also ate there twice in the evening and really enjoyed the food both times. The restaurant always seemed to be busy in the evenings and was part of the food tasting tour but I didn't need to book in advance. The staff were also great, from helping me fix my safe to generally looking after my needs and ensuring I was ok. As a slight aside, they do a couple of things differently to other hotels which I found refreshing as they cut out seemingly unnecessary admin. They didn't need my credit card on check in but I was still able to charge to the room. Also, pool towels were available anytime from reception with no need for deposits, etc and two drop off points for returning them. On a final point, I emailed them in the spring before my trip and asked if I could have a room with a balcony overlooking the public garden and they managed to sort that out for me. It was great leaving the doors/windows open and/or sitting on the balcony at different times during the day just to chill for a bit as the room sometimes got a little warm/humid.

GG LWe selected the Canadiano on the advice of a friend. I'm pleased to report that it was a very pleasant, comfortable hotel for our 6 night stay in Ponta Delgada. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were well kept. They offer complimentary breakfast for their guests. If you want to spend your days exploring, not trying to find somewhere to have breakfast, this is welcomed feature. We rented a car to explore the island and they have ample free parking. It doesn't have a great view of anything and it doesn't have a swimming pool. So if you're not planning to leave your hotel, this probably isn't the best choice. But, I can't image anyone going to Sao Miguel just to stay in the hotel - there is so much to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit this beautiful island.

Stayed for a week in February 2024. Communication was excellent. No issues with the passcode. My room looked over the street but street noise never bothered me (I’m a sound sleeper). Lots of paid parking availability in the neighbourhood. Street parking is free after 7 PM. Everything is walkable. Shopping, food, pier, points of interest. I received a breakfast basket every morning by 8 AM. Water was hot. No signs of any insect infestation as mentioned by other reviewer. Room was cleaned every 2 days. The housekeeper was polite and efficient. This not a 5 star resort. It is located downtown so you get the good (location, culture, access to food and drink, walkability) with the bad (some panhandlers, people partying on the street, no room service or on site concierge). But I felt safe and the staff were only a WhatsApp message away. They responded promptly. This a 3 -4 Star hotel and I knew that going in. My 5 Star review is based on the fact that they provided what was promised. A clean room; great location; daily breakfast; and safety. I have already booked a return trip to their sister property, Casa Ateneu, for January 2025. Shout out to Elisabete, Hugo, and Nuno for their prompt replies concerning my recent booking. ( I had some difficulties with the foreign fund transfer!)

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for only one night due to its proximity to the airport, as we were travelling on the next day. The location is superb, being very central and within walking distance of everything you will require. Turn right on exiting, and you are a 2 minute walk to the port area with all its restaurants, bars, and also a lot of street food on offer, there is also a public swimming area in the harbour. Turn left on exiting, and you immediately have a choice of two cheap breakfast locations. Walk the side streets for bars, restaurants, and entertainment. The reception and breakfast staff are really fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, which is worth a few stars alone. Our room on the 3rd floor was fine, it was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable and the bedding of good quality. The ensuite was again fine, not luxurious but equipped with everything you require. The room generally was a bit soulless, looking over the rear of the hotel and pretty basic, but then we were there on holiday, the plan never was to spend much time in the room. The breakfast is a standard buffet type breakfast that's perfectly adequate but won't blow your socks off, many alternatives exist close by. No onsite parking provided but paid parking available close by. The hotels location and staff make up for any shortcomings that may, or indeed may not exist. Just enjoy the convenience it offers and relax.

PPengguna TetamuAlbergo lontano dal centro del paese di Capelas, raggiungibile a piedi attraverso una panoramica strada sterrata (priva di illuminazione pubblica, e quindi non percorribile dopo il tramonto), oppure rasentando i muretti in pietra lungo una strada carrozzabile dove le vetture sfrecciano veloci… L’albergo offre alcune attività, per chi desidera godere appieno di una vacanza rilassante, come ad esempio una piscina esterna circondata da molti lettini a disposizione degli ospiti, palestra interna dotata di numerosi attrezzi, una piscina interna, ed una sala giochi con tavoli per giocare a carte o a dama, con anche un tavolo da biliardo (a seconda dell’attività scelta in sala giochi, ci potrebbero essere costi da dover regolare in reception / si veda descrizione foto). Sono a disposizione degli ospiti, gratuitamente, degli ampi teli di spugna da utilizzare in piscina. Nelle camere, a disposizione gratuita ci sono bottiglie d’acqua, bollitore e bustine di tisane e zucchero. Ci sono anche cialde di caffè Nespresso, a pagamento extra di 0,75€ cadauna. L’albergo ha un’anima “green”: oltre a proporre agli ospiti un cambio non quotidiano della biancheria da bagno (che, comunque, viene effettuata se richiesto), premia coloro che non necessitino di far rassettare ogni giorno la camera da letto ed il bagno, con un voucher del valore di 3,00 Eur da utilizzare al bar dell’albergo o per le bevande ai pasti in ristorante. Se si preferisce una pulizia quotidiana, bisogna dirlo in reception ogni giorno entro le ore 12.00 (ed in questo caso si “perde” il voucher). In caso contrario, la camera non viene rassettata, e alla sera si può chiedere il voucher il cui valore può essere scalato immediatamente dalla consumazione di bevande al pasto, da regolare con pagamento diretto o con addebito alla camera. Le stanze sono ampie, dotate di balcone, con pavimento in listelli “simil-legno” (no moquette). Letti ampi e con materassi ergonomicamente rigidi al punto giusto. Poche prese a muro per ricaricare, contemporaneamente, telefoni mobili e p.c. od altri dispositivi elettronici. Rete Wifi gratuita a disposizione degli ospiti, ma priva di password di sicurezza. Per chi si sposta in automobile, l’albergo dispone di due piazzali di parcheggio, interni alla struttura ma scoperti (parcheggio non interrato). Colazione e cena a buffet: ampia scelta di piatti, ben curati, e variati tutti i giorni. Servizio attento e non assillante del personale di sala che libera il tavolo dalle stoviglie usate. Personale di reception cortese, che parla anche inglese. E’ un albergo nel quale ci siamo trovati bene e che consigliamo.

I was very pleased by this hotel! As the town itself is small, I found that I could easily walk to the main drag, a shopping mall, and even a pineapple farm easily from here. The staff were all very professional and friendly, and they cleaned my room every day. The price was great, the breakfast was decent, and the bathroom was nice, clean and spacious. The air conditioning worked very well (I was here in the summer). And did I mention how friendly and clean everything was!? I hope I can stay here again!
