LLaurie Volmthe hotel was lovely, room nicely appointed. Lobby offerings for coffee and snacks were very nice. Nikki in particular was friendly, informative, and helpful.
I wanted to book a massage at the spa, and was told by the spa, they are not part of the hotel and require 48 hrs notice, as therapists are on call. So 1/2 the reason I stayed there was for that, which is not advertised that way. at about 3:45 am I was awaken by someone trying to get in my room. Figuring it was a mistake, I yelled out wrong room. about 30 sec later, they tried again with more vigor. I called the front desk, and colin said he'd go check it out. he called me a few min later said he saw no one. while on the phone with him a stronger attempt was made by ”no-one”. I let out a scream, and told him he needed to help me. I said I was packing my stuff up and wanted an escort out of my room. he came up about 5-10 min later and I went to there lobby, about 5:00 am. Where I waited until about 8:30 am until it was light out and could go somewhere. Safety there is an issue. staff does not know how to handle such an event. Police should have been called after 2nd attempt. ”this has never happened before” is not the proper response. My trip was ruined, and a good hotel went bad in a hurry.

PPengguna TetamuNice place to stay. It was a short straight forward drive into Palm Springs. Nice quiet location with a great pool. The breakfast was probably the best we’ve had in a hotel that included a free breakfast. If you want to be in the heart of Palm Springs it isn’t the place to stay but if you want to have a quiet getaway a short distance to town it’s great.

PPengguna TetamuBeautiful, charming and aesthetic renovations to the interiors of the property and pool grounds. However, when you drive up, the exterior could benefit from a fresh coat of paint on the classic, 70s aesthetic rock. If you didn’t know the property had been updated, you would be an off-put. Once inside, the lobby, restaurant and rooms have been redone to a mid-century vibe. The hotel still has a retro vibe and is Instagram-worthy.
Although aesthetics have been updated, the infrastructure remains. I was on the ground floor & could hear the footsteps of guests above walking back and forth in the early morning. Around 3am, I heard those guests or ones next door arriving back to their room. I would choose a higher floor if I returned.
TV uses Apple TV which was annoying having to log in. Finally logged in and it said the tv had to be updated to a newer version. Would be better if they didn’t use this interface and just had commonly used apps everyone could log into like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. I gave up & ended up scrolling my phone at 10pm.
Pool area has a lovely bar I didn’t get to experience, but lots of seating areas, a cornhole area and cabanas and open loungers. Pool ranges from 3-8 feet, nothing huge and was moderately heated for a 10:30am swim. No jacuzzi unfortunately.
Other: Hotel uses Le Labo products. There is an elevator on the property. Free parking onsite. Located at the end of Palm Canyon Dr. so short drive to downtown, but not as walkable is one downside. All in all, great property!

The swimming pool was incredible. Great DJs playing, and an incredible vibe with so many young people lounging by the pool.

MMarioInitial room had bathroom door falling off the hinges.
After 2 requests and front desk visit repair man was sent out. Said he fixed it and door fell again. (Photo is after it was “fixed”). Put out kids in the shower to see a long hair pool to the drain!
After this they upgraded our room. Shampoo mount was on the floor in the shower. Did not inform guests that one set of pools would be closed down for two days of our visit due to upcoming event. Day 2 we were woken up at 8AM to the sound of drilling as workers put together a stage next to our room. At 11:45 at night we again spoke to the front desk because the loud sounds of drilling due to them STILL putting together a stage. Worker letting us know they were “almost done”. On day 3 the same drilling a shouting as the crew we still setting up the stage.
Visited the front desk twice more to speak to management about our issue and was told that a manager was not available, to come back in the morning. We did, and again told that “manager not available”.

PPengguna TetamuI traveled spontaneously to Palm Springs for Indian Well finals and was able to book my hotel with an option for a full refund up until 5 days before my trip which was nice bc I was flying standby so was taking a chance! I arrived early and was able to check in and have my luggage held early while my room was being prepared and grabbed lunch and a drink at the bar (Denaya was lovely) and then head to the pool to relax! Room was clean, while staff was helpful and friendly. Location was great. There was not a shuttle available to tennis stadium as website said but I was able to pick one up at neighboring hotel. I rented a car and with in 5-10 min I was able to go grab drinks/dinner and a 45 min drive to Joshua tree national park was a bonus and a local trail only 15 min away as well. When I return for the tournament again I will more than likely stay here again!

PPengguna TetamuI was expecting a rather poor experience based on some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised that the room was recently remodeled. Also everything in the room looked new expect for the shower on-off lever which was strange. Anyway, everything was good but I will note the room was very small but considering the low price I’m not complaining.
