My husband and I stayed here and were so happy with the entire experience! We enjoyed the rooms, the food, the customer service! Maddy and Danielle in the restaurant were so accommodating and made sure everything was great every time we went there. The front desk staff was accommodating… Can’t wait to go back!

The Four Seasons is a gem. There are few great spots to stay in NE Wisconsin. We loved the Hotel. Great rooms with lots of room. Fun golf. Excellent fishing on the river. The food is good. The staff is very friendly. We are already booked for next summer.

We live nearby and have frequented the Four Seasons often throughout the years. It's been about a year since our last visit. Six of us visited on a Friday evening to see a band that we enjoy. The band and lounge service were great. However, our experience at Boundary Waters was not. It was 7:15 and every table and bar stool were full. They had two bartenders working, but no waitress. We had to order our food at the bar and were told that the wait would be an hour. We grabbed our drinks and found a table outside, which we had to wipe down ourselves. The mosquitos eventually found us, so we went back inside and found a few tables open, but not bussed. We bussed our own table and wiped it down as well. The table next to us mentioned that they had been waiting for an hour and half for their food and it still wasn't there. We ended up waiting for an hour and forty-five minutes. It was 9:00pm when we got our food and missed the entire last half of the band. The fried perch was great. Pizza was fine. My Clam chowder was cold. The cook was delivering everyone's food. I can't imagine how busy he was. We really felt for the staff that were there. They were working hard and still had a great attitude. As it stands now, I would never bring guests to eat there again, however I will continue to go to see bands and get drinks, I'll just eat some where else beforehand.

Trip ******! When things ran out at breakfast they said what was there was all they had. When we asked for a few towels they said room service had gone home. When we asked for utv/atvs to rent they said you had to give them weeks notice. We asked for the horseshoes so we could play, they said they no longer had them, they didn’t have cornhole or any of the other yard games. Their “all day” coffee and hot chocolate was not even warm and they said they couldn’t make more. The rooms were big and all the equipment worked, but all tv went out many time. The beds were very uncomfortable. There was nothing to do around there. We wanted to rent a pontoon boat but again we had to give a long notice.

My husband and I stopped in the Boundary Waters bar/restaurant for dinner Saturday, August 10. We have a vacation cabin near The Four Seasons and stop frequently at The Lounge bar and Boundary Waters. We’ve always had good food and good service. Not this past Saturday. We both ordered the prime rib special, mine with mashed potatoes, his with French fries. It was horrible, truly bad. The prime rib was very dark brown, very dry and not hot. There was no wonderful juiciness or tenderness that I love about prime rib. My mashed potatoes were barely warm and the gravy congealed on top. My husbands French fries were good though. Honestly, this was the worst restaurant meal I have ever had. I am not exaggerating. I cannot believe they served something so truly bad. We sat at the bar and the servers truly looked embarrassed although the food quality is not their fault. We frequent The Four Seasons since our cabin is so close but we’re questioning if we will ever go back.

We enjoyed our experience very much, from Amelia at the front desk, to Maddy and Lydia who bartended. Though it was short staffed, everyone worked hard and did it with a smile. Our golfing experience was enjoyable. We’ve already talked about returning on a weekend where we can hopefully enjoy the ice cream shop and steakhouse.

Updating my review because this place is nothing like it used to be. They only had one bartender working in the busy sports bar who was meant to take tables, run the bar and serve food. The ice cream shop was closed the entire weekend I was there, even though the front desk told us they were open. The steakhouse was being ran by the same girl who was working in the Lounge Bar and service was awful, it left me wondering, do they have any staff? Are they trying to run this place right into the ground? The food is overpriced and nothing to brag about, they offer very little. Our room was musty and they had curdled milk out at breakfast. If you would even call it a breakfast, they have some hard boiled eggs and cereal out. The hot tub was broken when we were here in February, it’s still not fixed and now the sauna was out of order too? Still got charged a resort fee. There’s no hot water in the bathrooms upstairs to wash your hands and an overwhelming smell of sewage can be found throughout the building. There were actual mushrooms growing under the toilets in the women’s bathroom at the Boundary’s Waters too. How nasty is that! We used to come despite the issues because the service was always awesome, but not anymore. I don’t know what they’re doing out there but we won’t be back. This place is not worth a dime. After 6 years of coming here, we will never be back. This new management has ruined my favorite get away.

Beautiful building and great service in the bars! I can say from personal experience that Casie and Paige make that place feel like home for a lot or people around here. The food menu has changed, but so has a lot in our world. I frequent this resort very often and will continue. While reading some of the negative reviews I can’t help but shake my head. Those girls run like crazy, bartending, waitressing, and running food from the kitchen upstairs each time. Complaining that they sold out of menu items (like they intend to) or that the workers “didn’t seem busy to you” is very petty. I’m sorry but it is, you girls rock! This resort is gorgeous, full of amenities and has some really great staff. Our Prime Rib was cooked to perfection tonight, our room is clean and quiet and the girls in the bar tonight totally rocked it as always! With the change in ownership the business saw a lot of changes, not all were positive but I see it getting better and better each time we come! Keep up the good work ladies! The Boundary Waters is my favorite Saturday night spot!
