Penrith

Lovely building, very clean and fresh. Reception was warm and welcoming, thank you Richard. Room had air con which was a great addition. Room was clean, tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Will be going again

We spent last night at the Penrith Premier Inn. We had to listen to the guests above us walking back and forth over our heads and the noise was extreme. The noise transference through their floor into our room appeared to be amplified by whatever material was used during construction. We put up with this thinking that it would cease later in the evening but after we went to bed, it continued until almost 23.30hrs when we breathed a sigh of relief. However during the night they woke us up again several times during the night and we found it very difficult to sleep after that since the sound of their footsteps could actually be felt through our bed which suggest that the impact noise of their footsteps was transferring directly down through the floor into our room. This should never happen in a hotel. Measures should be built into the construction to prevent this. Also, the aircon unit in the room sounded like an aircraft taking off. We tried to turn it off completely but although the control said it was off, it was in fact coming on and off intermittently until the early hours of the morning when it finally stopped. However it came on again at 5am and continued until we checked out. We left the hotel feelin sleep deprived. I do not normally have these problems at Premier Inn but on this accasion it let us down. In it's favour the beds were comfortable.

Woderful location with easy access to supermarket, pedestrian shopping/cafe areas and the town centre. . Car park right outside to hotel, great brealfast, comfy bed, extra friendly staff.

Great value, super clean & very efficient check in etc. Free parking right outside, close to town & lots of local amenities. Very clean town with plenty of pub’s & eateries. Easy access to & from M6 Friendly staff & excellent services, Sainsbury’s right next door for food & drinks if you prefer.

Pleasant stay - last minute booking to be near Lake district- Penrith is a lovely town close to the Lakes so this was perfect for us.

Outstanding hotel in the middle of Penrith with very easy access to the Lake District. Very clean and quiet with excellent service. We slept extremely well and the blackout curtains kept the early morning light out. Very good freshly cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and efficient. Free parking immediately outside the hotel. All in all we cannot fault this hotel and highly recommend.

Regular visitors to this Premier Inn and have always had a good experience. Check in late in the evening with Martin was first class with an additional ask, cheerfully and efficiently met

We stayed 3 nights, following a trip to Scotland. Our anniversary was during our stay, the staff surprised us with an ice bucket of Prosecco & glasses on return to our room. We had a superior room, it was very clean & comfortable. There was a small fridge & Nespresso machine in the room as well as tea, instant coffee etc. We have stayed here before, it’s a lovely experience, made better by the staff. They are friendly, helpful & efficient. Breakfast service is really great.

A very good hotel, very comfortable, as expected. I had an accessible room, ground floor and a very short distance from Reception. The room had everything I needed, the bathroom was very well equipped with grab rails and a fold-down chair in the shower. I accidentally set off the assistance alarm and, although I reset it immediately, staff were there in seconds to check I was OK. As I had my mobility scooter with me on its trailer, the staff went out of their way to ensure I could park up safely. The lady I spoke to when booking about disabled facilities came to check with me that everything was alright, a lovely thing to do. All of the staff really went "above and beyond" for me. Highly recommended, I'll be back!
