Conte Hotel & Restaurant

We were in one of the appartments connected to hotel Conte. I gotta say we were really disappointed. The room wasnt cleaned, sheets were dirty, floors not vacumed. They suggested they would lower the price little bit if we agree to cancel the reservation, probably so we wouldnt leave them a bad review. The stuff seemed reserved and fake. Would not recommend.

We stayed in one of their annexed rooms a couple of hundred meters from the main reception. The room was spotless, cleaned every day and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and it was a real treat to eat on the waters edge each day. We also ate in their excellent restaurant several evenings and again on the water front. What really made our stay was the excellent staff. They were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and those in the reception were very helpful, polite and professional. We took 2 of their trips which we really enjoyed and were so lucky to have Pedja as our guide and driver on both the trips. Thank you Pedja for all your kindness and showing us your beautiful country.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Conte in April this year, the staff were excellent, the food was delicious and the views spectacular. We had a lovely boat trip to the blue cave and around the bay, even managed a chilly swim! We drove up to the mausoleum - wonderful views, but not for the faint hearted as there were 26 switchbacks to drive along. Kotor old town was very pretty, but Perast was also a lovely place to take a walk and get an ice cream. The staff at the hotel were super helpful and we ate at the restaurant nearly every night, as there was such a choice and it was all delicious!

The staff are excellent - they all work so bloody hard and make your stay very comfortable. The Staff make this business that is for sure ! The apartments are nice and clean with lovely views , They are more on the rustic side of style. The food is excellent in the hotel outside dining area. Where you can sip a beautifully made Negroni before dinner looking out and admiring the beautiful scenery. Again , the staff are extremely attentive . The breakfast offers a goo selection of cold meats , chesses , cereals and breads etc. However, if you are gluten free, it's not so great. There is only one gluten free cereal which is a kind of cardboard cornflake. However, the same spoon is used for the other non-gluten cereals. The gluten free bread isn't great. There is now so such lovely gluten free bread available , but they seem to opt for the cheap cardboard kind. Plus it's on on display, you have to ask for it and the guy goes to the cupboard and gets it out. Not great! They also need to priorities hotel guests over visitors from the cruise ships. On a few occasions, breakfast was like a rugby scrum and the food went quickly along with the tables. The owners seem to want to maximise profits over the paying guests of the hotel. Needs to be better organised. We don't expect this from a boutique hotel! They have one dilapidated coffee machine which seem to constantly stop . A queue would then back up ! The machine needs to be updated and Perhpas for a more speedy service , offer to good quality coffee machines in the breakfast room! Would we go back, yes for sure. However, if they could just finely tweak a few things it would be better.

The hotel was beautiful, the little apartment with beautiful garden next to the little church was amazing and provided us with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The steps up and down were a few more than I imagined but absolutely were worth the effort for the stunning view. We had lovely breakfasts and a lovely meal on the first night in your restaurant. What a beautiful hotel, stunning Village and absolutely one of the nicest places, in my 35 Years plus in the tourism industry I have ever had the chance to visit. Sadly, all didn’t go to plan and this is the part I really want to thank you for. My Husband had a terrible reaction to a mosquito bite and by 20:45 on our last night we had to get him to a hospital. I called reception for advice with a picture of his leg and within minutes you had Boris the driver up the steps to take us to the hospital. Boris was amazing, so thoughtful, caring and kind. It was rather a crazy night as he had to take us to three separate medical facilities until anyone would even see us. He left us at the last one as I asked him to, as it was getting very late and we had no idea how long it would take us to be seen. The hospital decided to keep my Husband in overnight, which left me at nearly Midnight on my own at the hospital and with no way of knowing how to get home. I was very scared and really didn’t know what I was going to do. Your wonderful hotel called me by chance to ask what was happening and they kindly sent Boris out again to collect me, which was incredible as the poor man had just got home for the night. The next day, I had no idea what was happening, We were due to check out of the hotel to move to Budva. My husband called to say they were keeping him in hospital and he needed some things bringing to the hospital. This left myself and 13 year old Daughter very unsure of what to do. I went to reception and was immediately put at ease. The lovely girl behind reception offered me a room move for the night and to move all our cases. She arranged again for Boris to take me to the hospital to drop things for my husband and called ahead to the other hotel to explain the circumstances. Off we went again with Boris to the hospital and when I got there my Husband had decided to discharge himself with advice and medication from the staff. Again Boris came out for us and picked us up, he then waited for us to get sorted and took us to Budva to our next stay Absolutely amazing service and kindness shown by all your staff, they are an absolute credit to your hotel and I really can’t thank you enough. Boris is an absolute Hero, a legend and one of the kindest caring people, he went over and above what he needed to do for us and really helped to make a very frightening experience so much better. Hotel Conte is beautiful, Perast is stunning but the most important thing is the staff and their care for the customers. Highly recommend this lovely place.
